There's a palpable positive change in the air at Muvel. This location, formerly called Cultivate, is under new ownership (and fun fact: Muvel is Hungarian for Cultivate). Under the new ownership, I've sensed some great changes. On previous visits, the food was a bit underwhelming, particularly in the ingredient ratio of lettuce/spinach to everything else. I've had a few bowls recently, and they were exactly the delicious, hearty and healthy meals I've craved. My favorite item is the cashew chicken bowl with free range chicken, romaine, farro, roasted apples, cashews, pita chips, organic white cheddar, & apple vinaigrette. It's such a huge portion and well worth the little extra price, considering how expensive it would be to assemble these items on your own! They also have an awesome selection of smoothies and a few bubble tea options. My favorite smoothie is the ginger berry with banana, strawberry, blueberry, ginger, acai, orange juice. It has such a refreshing, gingery flavor which I just love. They also serve breakfast all day (woohoo!) and have a huge coffee menu. I also love that they are adjacent to ReSet Lounge Spa and Chagrin Yoga. Kudos to the new owners. I have yet to try something here I don't like!

UPDATE: I keep going back! The Kale smoothie is delicious, and the avocado toast is always better than mine at home. Oh- and that one worker- she is still very abrupt, but I think she's awesome now! All in all, I'd like them to start using more organic items (especially the milk!) and perhaps cut some portions/lower some prices.

Stopped in recently for dinner after seeing our CM review the place. I noticed it was near my work, and made for an easy takeout dinner. I ordered The Greek, and my wife had the Thai Peanut Bowl. Both of these were very good. I thought the salads were a little pricey, but not unreasonable; in the very least the salads were good sized as I was full off of mine, and my wife had some leftover. Given the proximity, the quickness of preparation, and a healthier option for a quick meal, this is likely somewhere I'll return.

I really wanted to like this place... I've stopped by here two separate times (2 months apart) and BOTH times their espresso machine was down. Regular coffee was available in the pump canister like the Toyota dealership down the road. It was disappointing that they only have "to go" cups and plates/boxes. It seems like they cared when they designed the interior of this place but forgot the most important part... the part that makes $. Ginger is in every pressed juice, so if you don't like ginger, tiene una problema. The avocado toast was okay and salvaged a second star for the joint.

Before coming here, I thought this is the place ones goes to cleanse their souls and eat like rabbits. It proved to be the opposite. The portion is very filling. You don't feel loaded with meat, yet still cleanse your souls (or guts). They are very generous with cheese. Big chunks of cheddar cheese in both orders. Bigger than the hard boiled egg chunks. You'll see a connected door to the yoga store next door, but employees assured me the ownerships are not related. Given the close proximity, a good portion of the clientele are yogis. Clean food, locally sourced ingredients.

The shrimp salad was good, but not $12 good. Found the food to be overpriced. Nice atmosphere.

It's a little out of the way, and since most folks are looking for a full scale restaurant they walk right by... BIG MISTAKE! All the locals are in the know though. That's where you'll find them. Upon entering you are faced with a counter filled with and covered by all the wonderful foods and treats you could ask for. Many display the "Blue Ribbons" they were awarded at the Geauga County Fair; and they are well deserved. We stopped in for breakfast this morning. I ordered a blueberry scone with a large cappuccino. My wife got the breakfast wrap and a cup of coffee. We sat in the window of this cute little establishment, thoroughly enjoying our treasures, and just enjoyed the coming of spring. The entire time we were there locals hand in hand with spouses, some pushing strollers, and others with toddlers in tow, all came and went with wonderful treats for their morning. I must tell you, this is the kind of place that just makes you feel good about life. You must give them a visit. You'll be glad you did.

Per our request, our party of six was seated on the outdoor patio overlooking the Chagrin River waterfall, which made for a beautiful setting. One thing to note: you cannot reserve patio seating in advance, but you can request it upon arrival if space is available. We started with four appetizers: *Heavenly Biscuits - AMAZING. *Short Rib Potstickers - Excellent. *Spinach Artichoke Dip - Excellent. *Grilled Artichoke - Good, but not really my style of dish. For entrées, we tried several different items: *Grilled Fish of the Day (Grouper) - Excellent, although the portion was on the smaller side. *Lake Erie Walleye Fish & Chips - Very good. *Thai Steak Noodle Salad - Excellent. *Steak and Frites - Excellent. We also ordered two sides: *Coleslaw - Very good. Is it the best coleslaw I've ever had? No. Is it excellent and worth ordering? Absolutely. *Roasted Baby Yukons - Excellent. Since we were celebrating a birthday, the restaurant graciously provided a complimentary dessert sundae. While the gesture was appreciated, I do wish guests were given a choice of dessert. The sundae was fine, but with several outstanding ice cream shops nearby, the ice cream itself was fairly average. Service was quick and efficient overall. There were a few minor areas for improvement: Wet naps would have been appreciated, as we had to request extra napkins multiple times throughout the meal. Service slowed down a bit during the dinner rush. The steak entrée arrived noticeably later than the rest of the main courses, which may have been due to the kitchen being overwhelmed. It also took a little longer than expected to receive extra plates when requested. These were relatively minor issues, however, and did not significantly detract from the evening. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience with great food, a beautiful patio overlooking the waterfall, and solid service. We would gladly return and would certainly recommend it for special occasions or a nice evening out.

The atmosphere was like a storage room in a cave for random dry goods. The "floor" was uneven and hazardous especially in the bathrooms. The stone, brick, beams are all exposed (hipsters and the bourgeoise love this, lol), the ceiling is tres low and stifling, the lighting is super dim. It is so cramped and small that you are seated maybe 1ft away from the next table. The waitress squeezes between your tables to take orders and you end up with her butt touching your utensils and dish, mon dieu. Prices are very high and portions are mid. I was so disappointed there was not one duck dish on the whole menu! I ended up just going with the shortrib (also not on the menu but specials) and it was super mid. The veggies were boiled and completely bland. The sauce included was starchy, basic and bland. The shortrib was admittedly tender and well cooked but where the heck is the flavor?! I've spent 7 days in France and every dish I've had there was very flavorful! This does not compare. The blue cheese cognac butter from the bread smelled really bad but was okay. Why not choose a less divisive, maggoty type of cheese for a flavor? Honey pear butter or champagne butter would've been so much more exciting and better to pair with the rough bread. We had reservations but things still took a while. Bathrooms were cute but I almost slipped because of the jagged, uneven 17th century like floors. My BF loved this place, vibe and food so good for him, I guess, haha. To me, it did not live up to fine dining standards and the taste of the food could not elevate it.

The Creme brûlée was very good. The server was pleasant. Overall, good experience!

Maybe my boojie taste but I was disappointed about that. After the AMAZING TOTS, we waited for a LONG time to get our dinner. Since I take photos of my food, it took almost 45 minutes to get our food. Being that we're off-peak time (since everyone was talking about getting "cut" for the evening), the food took a long time. There was hardly anybody there, and people who sat behind me got there after us, and by the time we got our food, they were already done with their dinner and left. The "smash" burger had nothing smashed about it. It was meatloaf on a bun. Very disappointed about this visit. It will be a while 'till we visit again. Server was apologetic and the manager came over. Appreciate the acknowledgment of the issue but sad we spent an evening here. I got the "smash" burger with crispy Yukon potatoes

Reading the menu it made sense why it tasted more like a mimosa flight but I was expecting mint in the Hugo spritz and a things a little more elevated. We placed our drink order and waited...out came 2 glasses of wine, then the third and then the beer that was ordered. Also asked for lemon wedges for the water which came after the beer. Placed appetizers order of crab cakes and smash burger. Waited a bit and then placed order for two salads as part of our dinners. Salads came out before the appetizers. I must say the crab cakes were delicious (maybe not $26 delicious), the smash burger was ok, very greasy and fries were not very hot. My biggest disappointment was my entree, Parmesan Crusted Seabass which is one of my all time favorites that I order when I see it on the menu. The plate looked delicious but looks can be deceiving. The Seabass was more breaded than Parmesan crusted. Usually When I order this it is Seabass topped with shredded Parmesan cheese and baked, this was not that! Then the sauce that covered the spinach and potatoes and lobster pieces had red chili flakes added(which is not noted on the menu) which added "heat" to the dish that I was not expecting nor was I able to eat. For $55 I was very disappointed. No, I didn't mention this at the time as we were dining with family and I didn't want to disrupt the dinner by sending it back. Such a simple thing to note on the menu description! The short rib was the best entree of the table, nice portion and delicious sauce. The filet was tiny, maybe 4 oz. Definitely not anywhere near 8 in as stated on the menu and it was hard to find with all of the broccoli on the plate. We will be visiting family here again but definitely won't be back here. On another note, the music they were playing would be more suitable to a dance club than a venue such as this.
