There's even a gazebo in the middle of downtown to seal the deal. This coffee shop is on the trendy side, with seasonal beverages, plants on display, and quite a selection of baked goods. We stopped by for a warm drink before getting some outdoor time at a nearby park. I ordered the chai latte and a giant chocolate chip cookie to share with my toddler cousin. Big fan of the chai latte, which can be hard to nail down. This drink had a great balance of flavors between the spice, vanilla, and cream. I'd easily return to explore more of their menu. read more

This fantastic neighborhood gem is a locally owned oasis for expertly roasted coffee, superbly crafted drinks, and remarkable treats! Upon walking in you are greeted by friendly, enthusiastic staff who are knowledgeable and efficient. They have a variety of drinks, ranging from drip coffee, pour overs, espresso, lattes, teas, and also have non-dairy alternatives (almond and oat). Normally, I get their chocolate latte with oat milk; however, I opted for the seasonal classic - pumpkin spice latte! After approximately five minutes, the drink was ready. I have to say, this was by the best pumpkin latte I ever had. I asked the barista if they used real pumpkin puree in it, and she stated that he did. In fact, the pumpkin spice concentrate they used was made in house. Of the many coffee shops spanning the northeast Ohio business landscape, Heartwood Roasters has proven to be my personal favorite. read more

Listen. The coffee is good. I feel bad for giving a 2 star review. It really is good coffee, and the food is good. But it's just...I've gone to this place 4 times now and asked for a smoked maple cortado, and 4 times have been told "we can't do that." And the things is, yes they can. They're allowed to choose not to, but saying that they're incapable of doing this is just factually not true. They can make smoked maple lattes, and I imagine that their recipes are just written for the specific ratio of a latte; and I also imagine they're just told that they're not allowed to mess with that sacred ratio, or even that taking special requests disrupts the efficiency the coffee serving process. They almost definitely don't have a button for smoked maple cortado in their POS. All these things I understand. But to say that you CANNOT do what I'm asking, is just a lie, and I don't appreciate being lied to. I also think it's a huge shackling of the human spirit to just accept that this can't be done instead of treating it as an opportunity to find a way to improvise. I think I'd be less upset if I was just told "we could do that, but we're choosing not to." Maybe not. Idk. Also the place gets super cramped super easily and can't be entirely overwhelming experience when you've just woken up and haven't had coffee. Start offering your latte flavors as cortados and I'll write a 5 star review. read more

I LOVE this beautiful little coffee shop located in downtown chagrin falls! I am absolutely blown away by the customer service and the options they offer. I ordered a Matcha Latte with Oat Milk. They didn't have Soy unfortunately. But Oak is great! They even did a beautiful design on the latte as you can see in the pictures I've provided below. This Matcha is the best I've ever tried! Honestly, would recommend over any other matcha. They do have cute little plants in this shop that are available for purchase! I also ordered the Quinoa Egg bowl and this was presented so beautifully, as well as the matcha I was so impressed! Definitely Instagram worthy! The only complaint I have is there was a ton of salt on the bowl that it did ruin it in my opinion and this is why I am giving this place a 4 star. I would get it again if I asked for no salt. So I'll have to try that next time but it was still good non the less. Now, I came with a friend here and she got the Breakfast Sandwich and she also added there was a ton of salt on it so the food could've been a bit better but overall I was very impressed and will continue to come to this beautiful little coffee shop! The service was awesome, and loved seeing how the girl behind the counter was working with others in the shop. Great little spot for coffee in the adorable chagrin falls! I had the raspberry matcha and it was so delicious and creamy. I love that they use hartzler milk for their drinks! Now, I'm from out of town and not familiar with the shops along Main Street. I asked a few locals and they indicated there was a coffee shop across the street. So I crossed the street in search of the coffee shop and found it. The coffee was excellent. For the owners, I would suggest a way to make their business more apparent. The signage on the business was blocked by trees. I would suggest possible special signage during a special event to attract outsiders. read more

Last week I visited two separate Heartwood Coffee Roasters, and both were very nice. They have a clean atmosphere and I love the touch of having fans keep the airflow by the pastries, to prevent them getting soggy with humidity! I enjoyed my coffee; I just had a cup of no frills coffee, but it was a good strong roast. Very cute branded bags and shirts were available - and the plants in the windows give the place a summery vibe. The food here is excellent and the coffee outstanding. However, it is a mystery why it takes so long to order and get something when there are so many employees moving about. Both locations have a "quick cup," which is a good option if you don't want to get stuck in the mass confusion of people ordering, waiting, chatting with workers, etc. The ambiance is a problem with few tables and people cleaning their own. read more

Chagrin Falls has been in desperate need of a quality local coffee shop, so I was absolutely thrilled to discover Heartwood on my most recent visit to the area! This is such a quaint, trendy little place. From the moment I walked in I felt cozy vibes, and I think that's exactly what you want from a coffee shop. The true test of a coffee shop for me is always just a classic latte, without any type of sweetener or syrup. My latte was very yummy, and I could tell the baristas are talented and well-trained. My sister had a chai tea latte and she really enjoyed her beverage as well. We decided to split the chicken salad sandwich as a snack, and it was high-quality and definitely hit the spot. I appreciate the fact that the menu here is concise yet well-rounded. You'll find everything you need, but you don't have to flip through pages and pages of options. I do have to say that the bathroom was a bit dirty, but that might have just been a one-off instance. They had a couple to try and found one that I liked. Wife enjoyed her choice on Chai Latte. The interior is nice and clean. CAPITAL COFFEE and SERVICE...!!! It's a convenient spot on the main drag in Chagrin Falls. I was curious about the coffee there and the staff explained to me they have a particularly interesting roast for an espresso that combines coffee beans from Kenya and Columbia. They brew it with a premium quality coffee and espresso maker which produced a magnificent pick me up. I returned today and the barista, Heather, was particularly helpful and friendly. She explained to me what some of the different treats were that they offered. I had the bacon and cheddar scone which was surprisingly delicious. It had a nice chew, was tender, and moist. It was exactly what I needed and I can't wait to have another. Lastly the cortado that Heather made me it was extraordinary, like something at a fine dining restaurant in Paris. These guys and gals are brewing up some seriously awesome coffee. I've tried a few things here, but my favorites are the green tea matcha latte and the cafe Miel. I also tend to judge coffee shops based on their cappuccino and Heartwood doesn't disappoint. I love how warm and welcoming the space is here. There are outlets everywhere and lots of seating which makes catching up with friends or getting some work done easy. All of the people working here are super friendly and happy.
