I feel like I just got taken advantage of... Went to see Angel to fix my windshield and hood and while there I asked if they would take a look at some additional work. I was told he would get back to me with a price. I never got a call. When I went to pick up the car they charged me an additional $1200 for work I never approved. Is it because I don't live on the Island full time? To bad, as I've given Angel's company business for a long time and have been willing to pay the added Island price. Not sure If I'll do that anymore. Want to do my part to keep the business on the Island, but going forward will need to think about that. Bummer. read more

Angel's did a nice job replacing our back bumper after we had a freakish accident. We realize they are the only body shop on the island, so there was a long wait for the repair, but we are grateful that the job is done and looking good. read more

They've kept our seasonal Dodge Caravan going for two decades.

$300 ($100 for brake inspection, $200 for computer sensor inspection) without having services done to vehicle in the end. Inspection fees were NOT disclosed to us when we dropped car off for our appointment in the AM. $2100 for parts and labor for a brake job (pads,rotors, calipers, lines) and would have taken 2+ business days to complete brake job. Off island price was 1/3 of that with no caliper replacement, just needed to be cleaned and work completed within 5 hours. The shop looks for ways to overcharge their already crazy high labor and parts markup costs. Owner was NOT helpful or very friendly/personable whatsoever. read more

Tried to charge me $4000 to replace a slew of perfectly working parts at a premium rate. Also included at least one part that doesn't even exist as a separate part in my car. When, out of disgust, I paid an exorbitant diagnostic fee and took the car home without repair they treated me with contempt. Finally, I fixed the main problem myself in about half the time they quoted me. It should be noted that I'd never done that sort of repair before in my life. I was willing to leave well enough alone and never go back. Foolishly, I responded to a "customer care" survey that they themselves sent me. Not liking my negative review, they responded by calling my workplace threatening to sue me and the place I work. Seriously. read more

I had a minor car accident and took my car to Angel's Auto Body for repair. It was very well done and completed right on schedule. As a plus, the car was washed and vacuumed too! This morning the car "low tire pressure" came on and I was nearby and drove it in. Angel took it right back and inflated the tires, and waved me out when I asked how much. When I dropped off my car I specifically asked to be called prior to any repairs or incurred costs. When my repair request order form was printed I noticed that the bottom of the sheet had charges printed on it. I was told to (1) "ignore " the bottom of the form, and (2) that the prices listed were incorrect and did not apply to me. I trusted that this was true and asked again to be called with any and all costs having to do with the repair and diagnosis. I was assured that I would be called with prices. I believed the receptionist and stupidly signed the form. Imagine my surprise when I found out the car diagnostic was performed in-the-tune of $161. Granted it was not the cost listed on the first sheet I signed, but it certainly was not a price I would have agreed on. If I had known the price I would have taken the car to another auto body shop. read more

Lifesavers! Our car's water pump and timing belt broke while on the island and MV Auto went out of their way to help us out of a huge bind. The work was finished ahead of schedule and they went out of their way to let us know what the problem was and how it was coming along the whole time. They are very fair and professional.
