Technician was very careful with trimming all of the cuticles and dead skin around my fingernails, and my gel manicure looks great. CONS: Pedicure was lackluster, pretty basic. I didn't catch the name of the person who did my nails, but I really enjoyed his service. He was super sincere and cared that I found a color that I really liked. Sometimes I feel like in salons, the staff is eager for fast turn over to make money. I didn't feel rushed at all. The reason though that I put 4 stars is due to the slightly higher cost of services...it's not a budget salon though which is what I am used to. Katrina did my nails and my dip manicure is on point-- not super think, legit cuticle trim, and nails were shaped well! At around 5pm, I was told there was no one who could do my dip nails, and I could only get gel, even though I had an appointment made for dip. I am shocked and disappointed that I had the worst experience yesterday. I have been a customer for about 2 years now. My favorite technician is Mrs. Jenny and like usual, I scheduled an appointment and sometimes the staff is behind but Mrs. Jenny's attitude and skill usually covers that part. Well their manager, the young guy, was upset after having another client sitting there for an hour without telling her the person she made reservations with did not do nails... anyway I guess I was the victim of his frustrations. He was very sassy and rude! I booked an appointment here last minute before my wedding when my regular place was booked up. I'm so happy I came here instead! The pedicure from Hannah was immaculate- my nails are shaped beautifully and the extra $5 for callous removal was well worth it. I requested a nail design on my fingers that Kay hadn't done before, but she pulled it off beautifully! She said she's been doing nails for 20 years, and it shows. Truly excellent SNS manicure. This was my first time here and first SNS. It's a bit pricier but my nails don't bend at all with this treatment. I can tell this is a very durable manicure formula. I went in last week to check out the salon for myself since I was VERY excited to see a nail salon open in the neighborhood. Like everyone else said, the space is very clean and well maintained. I splurged on the Deluxe Pedicure and it was a solid hour and in my book, money well spent. I then also had a gel fill on my nails with traditional polish, Katrina took excellent care and precision on my nails and I am very happy with her work. The prices are reasonable and everyone is very friendly. I don't even want to write this review but I think I should. First of all I've been going here for about a year and the same person does my nails every time and they do an amazing job. The place is clean. They offer drinks and there are many foods spots nearby. Unfortunately I will no longer be a patron here. The sole reason being that (not all) but some of them are racist and I refuse to give my money to racist. I recently got my eyebrows done here which I wasn't comfortable doing anyway because the woman I wanted to do them wasn't there but I would rather have gotten something done to them than not. Short story short the woman that did my eyebrows simple could not stop herself from making racist, colorist and ignorant comments about black people. I was beyond uncomfortable with the microaggressions. I don't honestly feel like typing out EVERYTHING she said but I will tell you what bothered me the most. After interrogating me about my ethnicity...while (I guess) complementing me on my full eyebrows she keeps talking about how in 30 years she's never seen a black women with full eyebrows black women only have her on there chin, underarms, and vulva (A LOT OF HAIR! you know what I'm talking about right?.....literally what she said to me ) Why is that the small talk you choose? This is what they think of they're black patrons. Then through the wall we can hear music..and she says "oh that's 92.3 black station! They (the black people in the apartment next door) play there music loud" I just shouldn't be subjected to that type of conversation. No persons race should ever come up when performing a service. I just thought it was very unprofessional and it made me very uncomfortable it honestly made me sick to my stomach. It's alarming she felt comfortable enough to speak like that in front of me....maybe because she didn't believe I was black or fully black (which is still not okay) or because she just does that but I didn't appreciate it. And to top it off my eyebrows SUCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKK! You can make your own decisions about this place but just know they type of people you're supporting. read more

I found my nail salon! After living in the city for 2 years, I found a salon that does dip powder manicures (minus UV light), that is clean, and the staff are warm & friendly! After communicating with the manager Ann through Yelp, I made an appointment for today at 5:30pm. I arrived at 5:20 and was shown to a seat right away. Offered a beverage as well. I LOVED that they had powders in OPI colors! Usually with dip powders you have a small selection-- not here! I was worried that they'd try to give me a gel manicure but the tech explained that they can use any SNS as a dip powder, it's all in the way you apply the layers of top coats. The tech doing my nails took extra care to remove my old manicure. We talked about my sensitivity to UV light and how there aren't many salons who offer just the dip powder manicures. Can't say enough about how much attention was given to my nails! I didn't feel rushed at all. At the end, I asked the tech her name and turns out it was Ann!!! Definitely going to come back and have her do my nails again! The pedicure chairs looked so relaxing. TIP: CASH ONLY when it comes to giving a tip. Which I appreciate because I don't like having my card charged a second time... I've had experiences where people wrote in a better tip. There is an ATM in the salon that has a $1 fee for withdrawal. Otherwise, you can pay with credit card. Just make sure hat you have some cash in hand for a tip. Again, will be coming back! From start to finish, a great experience. Worth every penny--and I'm writing this from home. In and out in an hour! read more

The only not so great thing I will say about the shop is that they don't do the best wax job . Recently, I had one (bikini wax) and it was below average. I even made an appointment and had to wait over 20 mins before someone was actually free to do my wax. It seems like you're better off just doing a walk-in (which I usually did in the past), rather than making an appt. I would still go here for a Mani &/or Pedi, no complaints about that. I needed a place to get my nails done near my hotel in the inner Harbor in Baltimore and based on the ratings on Yelp I chose this location and was willing to take a seven dollar Uber ride to get there. It was well worth it because not only is the location cute, in a neighborhood, but the people that work there were friendly and very professional. It was clean and the service was quick even on a Saturday afternoon. I love the options in the SNS and the stations for pedicures were equipped with USB ports for charging your phone. They had several pedicure options. I selected the "Coffee Pedicure" which includes a coffee scrub and extended massage. They had decent polish color options from OPI, essi and others. Came here today for a basic pedicure, and Jessica did not disappoint. Walked in, no appointment, just before noon on a Sunday, and I waited about 5 minutes? And they were busy, every tech was with someone. Like others have commented, very clean and pretty inside. Also worth noting how hygienic their pedicure process is. They use a new plastic liner in the foot basin for every person. All of the metal tools were in a sealed in a package and came out of, what I assume, was a UV light incubator. And all the wooden and plastic tools came out of an individually packaged pouch and were thrown away after being used. Jessica was super sweet and easy to talk to. I made a reservation for a mani/pedi more than 1 week before an event. When I showed up *on time* for my appointment, I was offered a seat to wait, and wait... for 25 minutes. After that, I was shown to a pedicure chair and waited for another 20 minutes. During this time, multiple other customers were shown to manicure or pedicure chairs, even those who had arrived after me. When I asked about the reason for the delay, the woman who seemed to be manager (?) said that they had one other person who had also made an appointment for the same time, as in overbooked. Then why didn't they make the walk-ins wait if they had two reservations? I was not offered anything to drink, any discount due to my 45 minute wait, or help moving my belongings from station to station. My nails have already chipped without any exercise or overuse. Sadly a bad experience. I came in for a pedicure and SNS powder dip manicure. Although my pedicure is still fine a week later, my manicure started chipping after 3 days and now has started chipping and falling off in several places. It seems this is not an isolated case because while I was there another lady came in to get her nails fixed, she had gotten acrylics and 3 nails had fallen off in one weekend.
