I stopped by around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. The salon was pretty packed but I did not have to wait longer than 15minutes before I was seen for a refill. The service was great, it took less than ab hour and I was offered water. Overall I recommend this nail salon. I was also suggest if you are driving to arrive early if you have an appointment since the parking in the area is street parking. Had a very good experience with Thu today. I walked in for a mani-pedi and they were able to get me right in. They had a few different options for the pedicure and I went with the spa experience which included a massage and hot towel. The massage was great, just enough to take the edge off but not so much that I wanted to sleep. The massage chair was comfy. I like that they wait to do the manicure at a dedicated chair; some places start while you're doing the pedicure and it always feels rushed. Came to Broadway Nail Salon to get a pedicure. I had a cauterization procedure on my big toes two months ago due to a history of ingrown toenails. My doctor cleared me to be able to get pedicures as they are healed completely. The side of the nails are still rigid, but other than that, there are no issues. I made this clear to the man during my pedicure before we started so that he would not dig too deeply on the side of my toenails. He insisted that my feet were "dirty" (I always shower and scrub my feet directly before nail appointments). He tried to start an argument with me about my "infected feet" and the "severe fungal infection" I had. He proceeded to call another employee over to loudly speak about my feet and how dirty I was. They laughed about it for several minutes while they both looked at my feet. This experience was beyond embarrassing for me and I cannot imagine how this would've played out for someone who has ongoing issues with their feet or an actual fungal infection. My recent experience at this nail salon was absolutely disheartening and frustrating. The initial nail technician (man) seemed completely clueless, attaching the nail extensions with glue and then attempting to cut them. Watching the extensions repeatedly fall off during filing was a painful sight. Rather than admitting his lack of skill and his mistakes, he persisted in piling on the acrylic, resulting in brittle, weak nails that were prone to bending and breaking. My patience started waning when I noticed the cracks and bends on my nails and asked him to fix them. To my disbelief, he cut all my nails instead of the two nails I brought to his attention without consulting me and assigned me to another technician. This other technician (I think was Tracey), I assumed, would rectify the disaster. Alas, it was not meant to be. She did not extend the acrylic on the nail bed as requested when I first came in and again when I sat with her, opting instead for thick layers of gel polish that created a dreadful, stubby mess. My requests for an acrylic overlay with a subtle extension were disregarded and even my request for a subtle ivory or nude color was met with confusion and I did not receive the nails or the color that I requested and showed photos to them for reference. The pinnacle of disappointment came when it was time to pay. The lack of a cost breakdown and the audacious charge for subpar service took me by surprise. When I calmly asked to see what she had charged me for and raised my concerns that she had charged me for an acrylic full set (when they were adding the nails for the extension) for an overlay that was not done properly (she had not extended the nail whatsoever), the technician's reaction was shocking. She erupted in anger and walked away aggressively shouting to the entire salon that the mess they created was what I had wanted (like I wanted gross stubby nails that took 3 hours to complete) and asked for despite the fact that my complaint was it was done horribly and at huge cost to my time due to their incompetence. It was abundantly clear that my dissatisfaction was not being handled professionally. I refused to engage in the nail tech's shenanigans and paid the invoice and left. My sister also got a gel manicure that chipped within twenty minutes of the manicure being done, which shows the extent of their incompetence at the most basic level. To say this was an unpleasant experience is an understatement. The incompetence of the staff, the disregard for customer preferences, and the unprofessional behavior displayed during payment are all egregious. I would strongly advise anyone seeking quality nail care to steer clear of this establishment. In a market where pampering and professional service should reign, this nail salon falls disastrously short. Your nails deserve better, and this place is simply not up to the task. Came here with a friend for the first time today~ My true rating would be a 3.5, but rounded up because I love the color and shape of my nail, and liked the callous treatment. We got there around 5:45pm today (Wednesday) and only waited a few minutes. We tried to make a reservation, but ran late because of the traffic. I got seated first to start my pedicure. I don't think my technician told me her name lol, but she was very sweet. She spoke broken English, but we were able to have small conversations. I showed her a picture of the color I wanted, and she brought 3 similar ones for me to choose! I ended up going with her first suggestion and LOVE the color. The salon was clean, but I'm not sure if they have completely sterile instruments because I didn't see autoclave/sterilization packs of instruments. I definitely appreciate the plastic cover for the pedicure tubs! I liked my pedicure, and I think my feet do feel smoother. I like my manicure because she really listened to what I wanted shape and length wise. However, while I was drying my nails I accidentally messed up 1 nail. I thought she would remove the polish and redo that one nail, but she just painted over it and it left a tiny bump/ledge. It's really tiny but I notice it and wished she could've redone it. TLDR: A good nail salon. Love the color I got and thought the staff was friendly enough, but communication was a little hard at times. Broadway Nail Spa is my new favorite nail spot in downtown Baltimore! I will no longer trek over to Mount Vernon just to get my nails done. For starters, the mixed reviews for BNS scared me. I was worried I'd pay for a pedicure and have a terrible experience. WRONG! My girlfriend and I went on a Saturday afternoon and had no wait-- perfect! They told us to sign the sheet, pick out a color, and they started getting our pedicure stations ready. The water was a little hot-- but they asked and we got used to it. The message chairs are comfortable and the ambiance is so relaxing. The nail techs were incredibly attentive and thorough and did a tremendous job. My feet felt and looked amazing and we both are incredibly pleased. My girlfriend also got her eyebrows waxed and they look AMAZING. Y'all took a 10/10 and made her an 11. The prices are affordable: we payed $80 for 2 pedicures and an eyebrow wax. (Not including tip) Caution: they do NOT take credit card tips (nor do they have an ATM in the building), so come prepared with cash OR we used Venmo to tip them. read more

I was generally pleased with the quality and speed of the services. The staff was friendly and polite. Kenny, who did my basic mani pedi, and was skilled and thorough. I was happy with the length and shaping of my nails. He applied 3 coats of nail polish on my fingernails without asking (I usually just get two), and as I feared, it took quite a while to dry. I later managed to smudge one nail a tiny bit, despite the fact I waited 40 minutes for my nails to dry before I left the salon. Aside from that, the color itself looked quite nice. My upper lip wax was quick and smooth. All my services were completed within an hour (excluding drying time), which I appreciated. I had made an appointment, and was glad they were ready for me and efficient. The salon itself is spacious, clean, and bright. The location, a short walk from the Marriott Waterfront and Four Seasons, is convenient. The prices were decent - the total was $49 (before tip) for a mani, pedi, and upper lip wax. My very first experience a couple years ago the tech literally scraped the skin off the side of my pinky toe about 3/4 of an inch wide. Removed the top layer completely. No discount , I paid full amount and even tipped. No come back again 20% off sorry we destroyed your toe discount, NOTHING. Forward to current times, I decided to give them a go for manicure (dips). First experience with the dips and I was excited!. The color was way off from what I requested but whatevs... Welp, after about 5 days two of my nails chipped off. I thought this was normal. Went in again a week and a half later did it again, and again the dips didnt last me a week. I searched on more info and sure enough dips should last a Minimum of 2 weeks. I decided t go elsewhere and my dips are going three weeks now and no flaws. So Broadway nails is pure shite with their services. Overall, this place is very clean. However, for the price and what you get I would have preferred to go to scrub nail boutique. The only reason I come here is because I can get same day appointments. I went here the first time and asked for just my nails buffed. No polish. It cost me $20. I was like that is the same as French tip. I thought I seriously got ripped off. I went back again with me friend with manicures. They did an excellent job on our gel nails. My only problem was that they didn't sit us next to each other. I would have preferred to sit next to her while our nails were being done. I also read another review where they were offered wine. We were not offered any such thing. My review is for waxing. I came here to get a wax- their brochure says full arms is $35 but they charged me $50 and said that "their brochure is old" and they "aren't able to update their website." This was unprofessional to start off with and they essentially ripped me off. The waxing also is not sanitary- they dip the same wooden stick into the wax multiple times, and use tweezers that were not in antiseptic solution. She also got wax on my shirt and was waxing against the grain of my hair, Leading to a very suboptimal result. If you want a good wax go to Smooth Wax Bar instead- for better prices they are extremely clean, professional and the salon is very cute and an overall great experience. read more

I try. I try to support local businesses but ever again for this place. My sister purchased me a $50.00 gift certificate for Xmas last year. When I went in to redeem, I explained I had a certificate. I opted for a pedicure realizing I would have a remaining balance. When I went up to pay...they ran the card to discover it was for 50 CENTS and then argued with me that I must have used it and forgot. I am an extremely organized person, I keep receipts with gift cards and the balance receipt. I had to pay and swore never again. I am so disgusted by this place. I'm sad to write this as I used to LOVE this spa, but yesterday's experience was unbelievable. I was excited to go in for my first mani/pedi of spring (I don't bother in the cold months, so I haven't been in since last fall), but clearly some serious changes have taken place and the services were not enjoyable. My nail tech was in a rush and hurt me several times - during the pedi, she was really rough with the cuticle pusher and she used the pumice on the top of my toe and when i flinched, she made a comment about it tickling and kept going-there is a visible scrape there where she broke the skin. In both the mani and pedi there was no cuticle softener or oil and no lotion. in the mani she didn't even push my cuticles back or have me wash my hands before she began polishing. It almost seemed like this was a new "express" type service for someone in a hurry or on a budget, but no, I was charged full price. The price would have been worth it last year, but this year it was an insult to pay this for poor, unskilled service. This salon was my go-to, but I guess I'm on the hunt again. read more

This is my favorite nail salon in all of Baltimore. Every time I need to get a manicure or a waxing, these ladies at Broadway Nail Spa get me together. I've had services from Jojo, Hannah, and Tracy and I love all of them! They are very personable and attentive to your needs. I have very sensitive skin and they always make sure to properly treat my face after a waxing to ensure I don't break out afterward. They also got my nails back strong and healthy after they split from keeping gel nails on for way too long.
