Michelle treated my dog as if he was her own. I was very happy about the care my Maddie received. I will use MVP Pet Care in the future.

They understood the urgency of the situation and got us seen quickly, which I really appreciated. Anyone who has dealt with a dog in distress knows how important that is. The veterinarian took the time to assess what was going on and explained the treatment plan clearly. I didn't feel rushed, and all of my questions were answered. That level of communication made a stressful situation much easier to handle. What stood out most was how they treated my dog -- with patience and genuine care. You can tell when a team actually cares versus just going through the motions, and this place definitely cares. Urgent vet visits are never fun, but this experience gave me confidence that I brought my dog to the right place. I would absolutely return if needed and recommend them to others dealing with a pet emergency.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! THEY WILL EUTHANIZE YOUR ANIMAL!!…read more On 07/26 I took my dog into the vet after he was acting strangely. Around 4:00 pm he had a weird breathing episode that went away quickly. Around 6:30 his back legs were not working well and he would not eat, very unusual for my lab. We took him to UrgentVet and was seen by Dr. Kamienski. They recommended a full blood panel and X-rays because he was showing discomfort in his abdomen area. These tests were quoted to us at $2300. We decided to do a couple of the blood tests. His blood tests came back showing he was anemic and had low platelets. Because of the concern with the bloodwork, we decided to do an ultrasound of his abdomen area. When that was done, it was found that he had free fluid in his abdomen but no cause was looked for. Dr. Kamienski came back into the room with the above results and stated that she believes it's due to internal bleeding and recommended humane euthanasia that night. After some thought I decided to take him home and get a second opinion in the morning. When I stated that reasoning to her, she told me that he may essentially suffocate because the lack of red blood cells carrying oxygen. She gave me a list of emergency vets and at home euthanizing companies. Fast forward to today, I took him to a local vet for a secondary opinion where it was found that he may have a tumor that are causing these issues. The thought that if I wouldn't have followed my intuition, my best friend still would not be with me today. It is absolutely sickening that a veterinarian would immediately go to euthanizing an animal for an issue they haven't had the full story on. The fact that this is an individual that animal parents turn to for guidance, immediately goes to death, really makes you wonder how many poor animals have been put to sleep for issues that could be further explored and possibly remedied. I will never bring my animals back here again and I recommend you do not either. Note: I took my dog to a local vet today and for the exact same tests Dr. Kamienski wanted to run, it was $2000 less than what she quoted me, this business is absolutely taking advantage of scared pet parents.

I am beyond disappointed with my experience at VCA Buffalo Ridge Animal Hospital…read more I called because I had concerns about my pet and needed guidance on getting her seen. This was not a major request. If the answer was simply, "Your pet needs to be seen by the doctor," that would have been completely fine. Instead, I was treated rudely, my call was disconnected without explanation, and I was left feeling dismissed and upset. When I later spoke with the manager, Nicole, I was told that she had listened to the recording and that I had been "out of line." I strongly disagree with that characterization. I was not rude or disrespectful. I was a concerned pet owner trying to get help for my animal. What is most upsetting is that it felt like there was more interest in arguing with me than in focusing on getting care for my pet. The entire situation felt unnecessary and petty. A simple conversation and an appointment could have resolved everything. I left the interaction feeling as though Nicole was trying to punish me over a disagreement rather than help my dog, and unfortunately, the one who suffered from that approach was my pet. Pet owners call veterinarians because they are worried about their animals and need help, not to be made to feel like an inconvenience or to be put in the middle of an argument. Because of how I was treated, I will be taking my pets elsewhere and have requested to end my relationship with this hospital. Beware: If you are looking for compassionate, customer-focused care during a stressful situation with your pet, this was not my experience.

If I could I would give 0 stars, our family dog is a Samoyed, a winter dog who is double coated. Our family has 3 dogs and have seen multiple groomers and never had a horrible experience like this. Our dog always gets a little wash and trim, she never gets matted and is the sweetest gentle dog ever. Dez is a groomer at this location who completely shaved off our dogs entire coat when we asked for a trim!! You can see down to her pink bare skin it looks so painful. Her double coat is for her health it should never be shaved down. Our family is so upset and will not be returning or recommending this groomer. Now she can't enjoy the sun outside, play outside, or go on walks because the sun will harm her. If you do not know how to work with Samoyeds, just say so!!!
