The next day, first thing in the morning, I was contacted via phone and the owner of the company would arrive at our house to give us an estimate for repair this afternoon. Michael the company's owner, arrived and looked at the valve and gave me the estimate with a 1-year warranty on workmanship. I asked for estimates with other companies, Water Whitchers Lawn & Sprinkler Repair Company's estimate was reasonable and offered a better warranty, so we decided to go with them. A couple days later Michael the company's owner came by and did the replacement himself. It took Michael less than half an hour to complete the replacement. He replaced, our system with a brand-new solenoid valve, filter and pressure regulator. I waited several days to make sure the valve and fittings did not leak and it was perfect, no leaks. Michael was awesome, he was very knowledgeable, very professional, personable, down to earth and he answered all of my questions and he actually adjusted my Rainbird system to make it run more efficiently. We are happy with Water Whitchers Lawn & Sprinkler Repair Company service; Michael is our go to guy for any and all repairs and we would definitely recommend them to anyone.

We set a date (07/06/26) for the replacement and what I thought was a fair negotiated price ($250), it really ended not being a fair price at all. Paco initially wanted $280, I negotiated with him to $250. Even at $250 he was higher than all others by $50-$100 more. I asked him if I could use my credit card, he said yes but there would be 4% surcharge. I didn't agree with that, so I asked if he could wave that, he reluctantly agreed. So, date and price was set. Come Monday 07/06/26, he claims his credit card service isn't working, so I agreed to a Zelle payment. Our appointment was for Monday (07/06/26 at 11:30; not only did his credit card service not work according to him, but he continued to change his arrival time. He texted me he was running behind on 07/06/26 and now would arrive no later than 12:30. By this time I'm seeing many red flags. I called him @ 11:46 on 07/06/26 to verify with him that he would arrive no later than 12:30 and was still intact. While confirming his 12:30 time, now he tells me 1 O'clock and blames me for his late arrival because I called to verify the time. During our conversation on the phone he kept interrupting me, talking over me, telling me I was upset that I couldn't use my credit card (furthest from the truth), and that I set the price for the job and so forth. I told him, I no longer needed his services, he was rude and not accommodating or respectful of my tine and needs. Who wants to invite someone to their home after a terrible text and phone conversation, NO THANK YOU! To say the least, he wasn't given the job. Be careful who you hire people.

When our front irrigation system stopped working while the backyard system was still running fine, we called Discount Sprinklers, and I'm so glad we did. Dave quickly diagnosed the problem and found loose wires and a disconnected grounding wire in our Rain Bird control panel. Since we've lived in the house for 3 1/2 years and never touched the controller, we were shocked to find the wiring in that condition. He also capped several broken drip heads, repaired a leaky pipe that had mold and moss growing around it, and reset the controller for summer watering. What really impressed me was the honesty and professionalism. Dave explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, was upfront about the costs, and never once tried to sell us services we didn't need. His son was equally helpful and took the time to explain Nevada's watering laws, which we knew nothing about coming from Hawaii. The price was very reasonable, the quality of the work was outstanding, and they left us feeling confident that everything was fixed correctly.
