Here's what I'm looking for when I review a bar. Welcoming atmosphere. Good place to visit with my friends. There's a "you can talk to other people easily" vibe. Good beer selection (meaning a number of good choices, including preferably local craft beers I can't get everywhere). They have at least one or two food items that they execute very well. Checks across the Board for My Bar. They had Tribus Benji on tap and it was fresh. They are known for wings, and in fact are on the CT Wing Addicts Wing Trail. The Hot Honey Wings were meaty, sweet and slightly spicy and the texture was right on. Excellent Kentucky Bourbon wings - not spicey and Buffalo Parmesan which my husband enjoyed. The Irish pub is known for their wings. Excellent chicken quesidillas and lobster tacos which had thin string onion rings. Happy hour on Friday's goes till 7 pm. House red Gallo, thus I had the Josh. I believe it is more of a beer place. Bartender very nice and helpful. Staying in the marina. Would definitely go back and highly recommend. read more

It may not look like anything special from the outside but this is really a great bar with delicious wings and excellent happy hour specials M-F until 7pm. The bartender was a pleasure to talk with and they offer indoor and a small outdoor patio for seating. read more

Elevated bar food in a lively, clean atmosphere. Owners are very attentive. Bartender was great.

Outstanding food and attentive bartenders even when it's really busy on Saturday nights. Very reasonable prices also. The bozo complaining about politics in the bar is referring to some signs saying they support firefighters and stuff like that. Sounds like she is a dried up old woman just bitter that kamaltoe did not get elected. Also the security doormen bouncer guys are extremely professional. I watched a drunk man get bounced in the most peaceful, respectful manner that I've ever seen in my life. I have been to a lot of bars and restaurants and once or twice unfortunately been thrown out the door head first and landed on my ass outside. These guys were all about professionalism and gently but carefully walked the drunk patron out beautifully. read more

Amazing bar! The atmosphere was vibrant, the staff were incredibly friendly, and every drink was crafted perfectly. Highly recommend!

We have now been to My Bar and Grille on two occasions and both times sat outside on the patio. Hands down, they serve the best fried pickles in the area! Our favorite cocktail there is the pink Whitney. We have enjoyed burgers, tacos, sliders, and massive "side" salads. A real hidden gem in downtown Milford. The only issue we had on both occasions was that the food service was slow. read more

My Bar & Grille is hands down the best place to watch sports in Milford. The wings and nachos are excellent! They also have a great atmosphere on Friday & Saturday nights with DJ's starting at 9pm until close. this is the worst experience you will ever get hands down. worst bar in Milford hands down I come in I'm not allowed even 10 minutes to settle down in already being ordered to buy something or I have to leave and I was told that this is not the library. after I ordered some fries I then went to the bathroom which I was in for about 2-3 minutes soon after the door was followed by loud knocks multiple times for me to hurry up and get out. Sadly, I am unable to add to the long list of positive reviews here, but it's not for any of the reasons you would normally expect. We visited here for our first time on a slow weekday night. In a nutshell, the service was great - 5 stars. The bartender was friendly, quick and helpful - 5 stars. The drinks were good, and the food was decent - 4 stars. Overall, it's your typical bar fare, drinks and atmosphere. So, what's the problem? For us, there was only one problem, but it did cut our visit short. When we opt to go out and spend our money on food and drinks, part of our motivation is to escape from life's everyday bullshit. At a bar, we can sit back with friends, have a couple of pops and leave all of the negativity of the world behind. The vast majority of the negativity we're exposed to comes in the form of political divide. It's on the news, in our social media feeds, on billboards and yard signs, on the radio, in magazines, on bumper stickers and heard around the water cooler at work. Going out to a bar or restaurant is a welcome relief from all that nonsense, or at least it should be. Sadly, this isn't the case at My Bar and Grille. For some reason, the owners feel the need to display their political views all over their establishment. You can't even take a piss in the urinal without some adolescent reminder of the current political divide. Why? Why can't I simply go to a bar and leave all that garbage behind? I am beyond exhausted of having to constantly see this political bullshit everywhere I look. I don't want to see your anti-Trump or anti-Biden stickers or flags or whatever everywhere I look. As a partisan business owner, you may not want to cater to the "enemy" customer on the other side of the political spectrum, and that's your prerogative. But what about all the other customers who come through your door who aren't caught up in the ridiculous liberal vs. conservative nonsense? What about all the customers who just don't want to be exposed to ANY political views - either left or right and just get a damn drink? I guess you haven't considered how many of us there are. Seems like a quick way to negatively impact your profit margin. And you're going to sacrifice potential revenue for what exactly? Just so you can proudly proclaim which "team" you're on? Must be nice to be that wealthy. If your goal is for the general public to feel at home, and consider your establishment to be their own, then perhaps you should consider creating a politically neutral atmosphere. There are plenty of other venues out there with good service, good drinks and decent food that understand this basic fact. read more

I'm not sure why they have a low rating here, but I definitely disagree We had the broad street tacos and a chicken cutlet sandwich. 10/10 on both! read more

Updating my prior review of this spot! Had a fun time there yet again. It was super busy because of the holiday, but the bartenders were friendly and working hard despite everything! Kudos to them! I had a couple beers to celebrate St Patty's Day and gave their food another shot. This time I ordered the wings off the St Patty's Day menu (I chose the Sweet Chipotle flavor) and was definitely NOT disappointed! Been wanting to try this place for a while and finally did. It's located in downtown Milford, has street parking or you could always park in one of the near lots and walk over. We stopped in for some drinks and a bite to eat. Menu has many of your typical bar food bites, my partner opted for the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and I did an order of wings. The chicken sandwich was crispy and was a good size, fries were very good as well. The Nashville sauce could've had a little more heat, may ask if we can select a different sauce on the sandwich next time as they had a wide variety of sauces to choose from. My wings were the hot honey, good but definitely lacked a punch of heat. This is a nice neighborhood bar to watch a game at, have a drink or a few bites to eat, potato skins were good too. we will definitely be back! Very casual. My first time here. Awesome experience. Stephen is a super knowledgeable bartender who knows his stuff. Drinks were great and the food was top notch. We just had our first night out at My Bar and Grille and could not have had a better time! The best new spot on the Milford Green, My Bar features a cleverly crafted drink menu alongside its tasty bar bites! We were shocked at how affordable our bill was at the end of the night! For a Wednesday evening, you could tell how wonderful this place truly is due to the number of patrons that filled its spacious interior and outdoor patio. I was out of town on business. was looking up food, this place popped up. parking was a bit difficult, but found a spot just out front, so decided to give it a try. I was the only one there, asked if they were open and was told yes of course.i ordered the fried chicken sandwich(came with fry's) and the steak and cheese egg rolls. told them I was taking it to go, so bellied up to the bar for a beer.
