Before you walk into Colony Grill you should know that they only serve pizza... thin crust pizza. You cannot rate them expecting more when that's not what they offer. We were in town at FTC for a show and came to Colony Grill for dinner. The buffalo chicken pizza was great and beer came in a frosty glass. I'm awful at ordering cocktails but when I shared with Lucas my desires, he made a perfect cocktail. I don't remember the last time my husband and I went out to dinner, both had drinks and the bill was less than $50.

One of the first stops I always make when I come home to CT and to visit my friends in the area has to be Colony. Last night I went in and as always it was PACKED! We waited about 20 minutes to get seated. It's always a little loud because of the amount of people that are always there, but we LOVED the Christmas decorations. Our waitress was great she took our orders immediately and the food came out in a timely manner. I ordered a pepperoni black olive pizza and my friend ordered the hot oil pizza. We were both extremely satisfied and it hit the spot. Wish Boston had a Colony!

If eating pizza as thin as a cracker is wrong, then I don't want to be right. Delicious pizza. Simple menu, great vibe. We loved everything about this place. Can't wait to return!

Finally made it to the iconic Colony Grill for their Hot Oil pie! It was perfection! Honestly, more like a cracker or flatbread than a traditional pizza. Good for snacking on during drinks with friends or a pre dinner happy hour. The pies are small and one alone could feed one person. I loved their stingers and thought they brought a great amount of heat. My favorite was pepperoni, stingers and hot oil. Folks leaving bad reviews don't know what this spot is - once you know what you're getting, it's great!

    Best piece in the world.

My favorite pizza of all time. Not for everyone, more for me. Best bar pie that's ever existed!

Love their hot oil and pepperoni pizza! Service is usually quick! Be prepared to wait a little on busy nights! Staff is always nice! Atmosphere has a warm cozy vibe and looks extra homey with all the Christmas decorations!

A friendly downtown joint that serves pizza later than most making it a great spot for after a show at MAC (the Milford Arts Council) or picking someone up from the train station. Added convenience because the Colony is right around the corner from the train station and the harbor. I come here often and have always enjoyed it.

Front: Pepperoni, meatball, hot oil. Back: Sausage, sweet peppers, mushroom.

Big restaurant with good variety of pizza toppings. Crust is the crispiest I've ever had. It's not for everyone's taste. About six small to medium sized slices per pie. Table service was good. Pies took a while to come out but not too too long of a wait. They have a large outdoor seating area which is nice. Parking lot in the back.

My all time favorite pizza. I stop into Colony at least twice every time I visit Milford. My favorite pie is the hot oil with chopped stingers but I have also enjoyed the cheese and onion & sweet peppers. The hot oil is oil infused with jalapeños and the stingers are the jalapeños. I've only ever done take out but the interior looks cozy and welcoming and there is an outside patio. My pies are always ready when promised and prepared as ordered. Staff is always pleasant. They are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. They only serve pizza but there is a salad pizza. Parking in the adjacent lot can be a challenge on a busy night. I recommend a visit to Colony Grill in Milford or any of their other locations in Connecticut, NY, Virginia or Florida

This is a great pizza place for date night or a family night out. Their menu is simple which I feel validates that you know it will be perfection. Choose the topping(s) to your pie and BAM you're all set! Feel free to share with another person or get a personalized pie for yourself - they only come in one size (6 slices each). There will be a wait on the weekend (they do not take reservations, and just have a waitlist you are added to upon arriving) but I do feel like it is worth it. If you love thin crust pizza then you will certainly enjoy this. The crust is crispy and the cheese and sauce are both fresh and delicious. They are not shy with their toppings and I HIGHLY recommend their salad pizza, but ensure you ask that they keep the cheese and sauce underneath. Get your greens in while enjoying your pizza simultaneously!

Love, love, love the HOT OIL pizza. One of the best treats. Sure, it's not classic Pepe's, but it tastes great and has a nice kick.

Kwok has more than 20 years experience in the hospitality industry. Some of the other restaurants he has opened include Sweet Basil in Fairfield, Pink Sumo Sushi & Sake Cafe in Westport, and Eat Noodle in Bridgeport. Kwok and Nguyen's latest venture opened at the Connecticut Post Mall in a restaurant space that was previously home to Cast Iron Chef Kitchen & Bar, which specialized in tavern-style pizzas cooked in a cast-iron skillet. 8 Thousand Pizza offers this same style of pizza, but what sets them apart from the previous pizzeria is that they also offer self-pouring technology, which became legalized in Connecticut in 2021. The food menu features two dozen tavern-style pizzas as well as burgers, wings, fries, salads and soups. Through the use of a supplied electronic bracelet, customers can self-pour their own beverage from a selection of 28 craft beer taps and 6 wine taps. There's a two-pint or 32-ounce limit for the self-pours. I recently visited 8 Thousand Pizza for dinner. I had previously visited the space when it was Cast Iron Chef Kitchen & Bar and was sad to hear that they moved. However, this new business concept of a tavern-style pizzeria with self-pouring taps sounded very interesting to me. This was actually my first visit to a self-pouring taproom, as these types of establishments only just began opening in the state in the last few years. After looking over the menu, I decided to order the "Grandma's Tomato Pizza" (fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, roasted garlic, tomatoes and EVOO) and the "Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza" (tomato sauce, pepperoni, hot honey sauce and mozzarella cheese). The latter happens to be 8 Thousand's signature pizza. Both pizzas had crust so thin that it's almost cracker like; they didn't flop at all. They were super crispy with excellent sauce and toppings. I honestly can't decide which one I liked better; they were both very good. During my visit, I enjoyed some self-pours of Grey Sail Brewing's "Captain's Daughter" (Double New England IPA) and New Park Brewing's "Cloudscape" (American IPA). Delicious pizza with craft beer is always an excellent pairing! I had a really nice experience at 8 Thousand Pizza and I hope to return with my family.

The best kept secret for the most authentic, deliciously seasoned and best Mexican food in Milford!…read moreThey are some of the kindest people I've met and they truly put a ton of TLC into the dishes they make. They offer many great combinations for pizzas but the real MVP here is the Mexican dishes they offer. If you know what mole is, then you know. They make the absolute best mole enchiladas I've had (and we have had a bunch). My boyfriend is half Mexican, so I am very particular with getting it when out and about but Pancho's is hands down THE BEST! Also their tacos are to die for!! Definitely check them out, you won't regret it!!

Don't let the name fool you. Sure, Panchos Pizza makes a good pizza, burgers, grinders, pasta…read moredishes and more, but the Mexican food here is the star. It more than competes with any of the upscale Mexican restaurants in the area, and the prices are very reasonable. I've been ordering take out from here since they opened, and the quality has remained very high. Today I ordered The Chicken Enchilada dinner. They give you four enchiladas smothered in cheese and salsa verde, a small salad, and an order of rice and beans, and three kinds of salsas, all for under $14.00! No other restaurant that I know of gives you such an abundance of great Mexican food for that price. I also ordered a small Nachos Con Queso, which was also generously proportioned and delicious. I am pretty particular when it comes to Mexican food. I've had some of the best, having lived in New Mexico for three years. Panchos is as good as the best the Southwest has to offer. It's not "Americanized" Mexican fare, but remains authentically true to it's roots. I heartily recommend you give it a try some night if you like authentic Mexican food, for selfish reasons: I don't want to see them go away. Don't let their location fool you, a small, unassuming shopping center on Route 1 in Milford.
