We finished up at the little league fields next door and I had recognized the SBC logo on the way in back from the Branford location. Obviously, we had to go for old time and to our delight there was live music when we walked in. We were greeted and seated promptly with a view of the stream down from the window. The waitress was very polite and brought everything we needed. As I can be needy with more ketchup with my fries and some additional boiling for my turkey burger that was a little dry. My son loved his traditional style mac n cheese and it smelled delicious! Good place to go and live music on Thursday nights.

Being a long time Milford resident, I can't say enough good things about SBC! I've frequented them over the last several years and have never been disappointed! Known for their craft beers selection, delicious pub food, and casual atmosphere- SBC is a must stop! The restaurant has a great outdoor seating for a quick drink, an indoor bar & restaurant for lunch or dinner and even has a beautiful back event room! They always have something going on, whether it's a theme night, trivia, or game day! Can't forget to mention the food is delicious, served with a smile, and comes out quick every time! 10/10 recommend stopping in!

1,000/5 stars. We came here while visiting the area, everything was incredibly delicious. Highly recommend the Brussel sprouts appetizer. Best I've ever had! I got the figgy chicken sandwich and it was so amazing. Great service and great drinks. Highly recommend!!!

This place. Ugh. I reeeeally want to like it here, but no matter what: The service is terrible, about friendly when they come by once every 30m The food is ok, though never is our order correct/hot/timely The drink specials are interesting, although every time I've ordered off that menu they're out of something in the thing I order I call this the "get your own stuff" restaurant because you order something, or try -- they just never come to get your order, or to bring it, or anything else you ask for, for the record. Food:: it's ok. Ordered salad which was SO acidic I could only eat about a third. The chicken was cold, as in forgotten about, not refrigerator-cold.

My boyfriend and I were splitting the salmon piccata so our wonderful waiter had it dished separately. Great portion.

A pleasant experience. Quick service, fresh tasting seafood, friendly staff. Would definitely come back again.

Another five star dinner with friends at SBC. We swear their menu has something for everyone. The figgy chicken sandwich was outstanding.

My cousins and I went to SBC late on a Saturday night. There were a lot of people in the restaurant but we were promptly seated at a booth. Service was a bit slow but our waitress was extremely friendly. For appetizers, we ordered crispy brussel sprouts, which even the non-vegetable eaters loved, downtown nachos with short rib, which were delicious and a goat cheese bruschetta special, which was packed with flavor. If we only ate appetizers, SBC would have gotten 5 stars in my book. For dinner, my cousin ordered a caesar salad with steak. While the salad was okay, there was barely any dressing and my cousin indicated that the steak was tough and hard to eat, which was disappointing. My other cousin ordered the roasted chicken burrito bowl, which he really enjoyed. I ordered the birdhouse, which is a crispy chicken sandwich. The sandwich was a little dry, but I thought it was good. Overall, SBC is a good restaurant that I would go back to. I would encourage SBC to work on their wait times (it took a long time for drinks and our food to come out) and increase their focus on their dinner entrees.

SBC has been a staple in downtown Milford for many years. Even after the deSilva brothers closed the original Fairfield location to open their new BAD SONS brewery in Derby the downtown Milford location stayed. SBC has an extensive beer selection with many from CT including their own BAD SONS brand. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food menu is good and the food itself was better during my most recent visit than it has been in the past. SBC has a private parking lot which is a perk for this downtown location. The large windows provide various views including to the road, down to the river and out over the harbor. It has a cool vibe, an open floor plan, lots of windows and plenty of seating. A back room can be rented for private parties. There is entertainment in the evenings and a fun place to meet up with friends

Props and big thanks to the staff at SBC! I had a chaotic situation and had no idea how many people were going to come to this event but they were up to the task! They kindly warned us about trivia night, provided amazing service throughout the night- and went out of their way to set up a table for us. Our waiter and the host was friendly and helpful and super organized given the amount of separate checks we had. As the organizer of this group, if we ever need a place to go, I will be sure we go there (and will recommend to other groups in the area!).

    The receipt

On March 22.2025 I came to this restaurant for my son's 18th birthday. Yet we were running late I truly appreciated them still having us still. we had a party of I guess 13 people. When we first arrived the waitress was spot on. But into dinner the waitress didn't check on us as often as we thought she should have. The appetizers we had were amazing but my entree was mid. my steak bites was fatty, chewy and hard to cut.i guess everyone else at the table loved there food.what made me write the review was the waitress she (and I apologize for writing it so late but it really left a sour taste in my mouth). So when it was time to get the check my son's friends gave me cash a few paid by credit cards and 120 dollars his friends gave me. I was going to take care the rest of the bill. Well the whole bill was 400.i thought. When she brought us back the slips to sign it still read 300 dollars so I had to wait till she came back and I asked the waitress. Why is my bill still over 3 hundred dollars ?...she said she thought I said she could have the 120.00 dollars and put the rest on my credit card. (which I was was going to definitely tip her).but she took it upon herself to take the 120 for her tip. Which was dead wrong on her. I took a picture below so the manager could go back and see who was the waitress on the afternoon shift. but I won't be back again.

Spicy chicken wrap from the specials menu (already ate half, oops!) And Tribus Benji IPA brewed in Milford

We chose SBC for the parking lot and casual quick dining. Downtown Milford is a tough place to park so having a restaurant with a parking lot was a big plus. I sat at the bar to wait for my friend and was greeted by our bartender pretty quickly. The wait times for food and drinks were probably above average and the food was really good. I got a spicy chicken wrap from the specials menu. It was packed with flavor and the fries were perfectly seasoned and just the right crisp. There was a nice selection of beer on tap, as well as cider, seltzer, wine, and specialty cocktails. I started with Thomas Hooker Purpl'd which was good but a little sweet, then a Tribus Benji. Great dinner and service

The figgy chicken sandwich and the Mac n cheese are my favorites. Their vodka sauce is probably my favorite in town.

Still great in 2025!…read more Had the jamming burger specials with the yummy jammified onions and they satisfied the burger craving without fault. The pretzel bites were also salty and bready nuggets of deliciousness. Service was great and friendly! It doesn't have a particularly great look outside or inside (mostly a bar with some tall tables and several large screen tvs) but they are consistently good with their flavorful offerings, which is what matters most.

The restaurant wasn't busy so we sat at the bar to watch football. We ordered wings and the special tacos of the day which were eye of the round tomatillo tacos with pico. We get the buffalo sauce and cajun dry rub on our wings which were 5 stars. The tacos not so much. For $15 the three tacos were tiny, 3 pieces of eye of the round on two tacos, 4 on third. The pico was tomatoes with a tiny piece of jalapeno and onion in water, weird. The tomatillo sauce was ok, but not the best. We LOVE this place but these tacos missed the mark. Service was good. At the end, Lauren took over. She was friendly and introduced herself to us and others at the bar. She mostly cashed us out, but we liked her friendliness. Go with confidence, it's a great local bar/restaurant with good, friendly service.

"In the clearing stands a boxer And a fighter by his trade…read moreAnd he carries the reminders Of every glove that laid him down" (Paul Simon) Nope. The namesake of the Archie Moore's chain IS NOT the famous boxer, Archie Moore. Instead, this Archie Moore was a restauranteur from 1890's New Haven. Today, there are five Archie Moore's restaurants named after THAT Archie Moore. Now that we cleared that up, let me tell you about the lunch three of us had at the Milford Archie Moore's. Quite simply, we had a blast! We were looking for a place that had a sports bar feel and would be televising the NY Giants-Green Bay Packers game. Well, that wasn't really an issue because most of the TVs at Archie's were broadcasting the game. Our dining room had one outlier of a TV that showed the Buffalo Bills- Tampa Bay Bucs game. I walked in at 12:30 and the dining room was not very crowded, but 45 minutes later every table was taken -a mix of small groups, couples, and families with children. That seems understandable when you take a look at Archie's menu, which is as broad and varied as one could possibly want. A visit to Archie's starts with the chicken wings they are famous for. There are nine flavors in six sizes of "with or without" bone varieties. After that, you'll be challenged to decide among their appetizers, nachos, sandwiches, grilled cheese, wraps, pizzas, burgers, salads, entrees, etc. Seriously, their menu would seem at home in a New Jersey or Long Island diner. We started off with a shared platter of ten boneless Garlic Parmesan wings ($14.99) and I have to say....they were amazing. Big meaty chunks of white meat with a crunchy coating and a delicious parmesan cheese dusted sauce. The three of us went with three burgers.... Well, sort of. My brother had a traditional burger with sweet potato French fries ($18.49), my nephew went with a special of the day- a double Smash Burger with fries ($17.50), and I had a Garden Salad ($10.50) with an added burger patty ($7.99). I have to point out that the burger added to my salad was a monster burger of "over a half pound of ground 100% premium beef". It was outstanding. Drinks were $6.95 for an Athletic NA beer and $5.75 for a Coors Light. Our server was a cheerful and helpful young lady named Sam who did a great job checking on us and filling the water glasses. There were plenty of leftovers at our table, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable visit to Archie's. Lunch for three with two beers ran $88.21 after tax and before tip.
