He fit me in the next day (today,) and had great communication throughout the process, even texting me while on his way. He and his assistant were in and out (it is a regular wood fireplace) withing 30 minutes and my place remained clean. They took their shoes off as well. Had Jim come out to re-install a Chimney Cap. He and his tech showed up and got started immediately. Very professional, knowledgable, and all-in-all nice guys. Only Problem? The Chimney Cap HADN'T blown off MY roof, my neighbor's adult son was mistaken. Looks like it was THEIRS! Jim only charged me for a service call (basically gas money) and he left me with his business card and a story to pass on to my neighbor's oldest son who can laugh at his youngest brother for years. Jim is honest, professional, and fair. I wish every contractor was like him. We called Jim after another company told us we needed our chimney completely rebuilt for $18K, which is ridiculous considering our chimney is in great shape. Jim stopped by the next day, inspected our chimney, and told us very clearly that it was indeed in great shape, and just needed a new cap, repointing, and parging. We eventually scheduled the job and Jim promptly completed it. He even stopped by a week later to check on the work. Now, our fireplace is like new. So if you're still reading this, hire Jim.
