GREAT HOLIDAY PARTY! We had our small office party (10 people) at My Cooking Party this December. It was great! Such a different thing to do. Everyone had a great time cooking, joking, eating, drinking. Highly recommend. Even though we were small, it was clear that have the capacity to hold much larger events. Staff was wonderful.

Great clean facilities with kind and accommodating staff. We came for our fall retreat with a team of 30 and some food allergies which the team had tasty alternatives. The chef provided instructions and directions to make our tasty 3 course meal.

We had a corporate event here the other night and everyone agreed just how much fun this was! We walked in and champagne/wine greeted us at a small bar area. One side of the beautiful loft is a well-equipped kitchen with 3 island kitchens set up for stations (salad, ravioli, and dessert sections for our night). The other side is one long banquet table with silverware and tablecloth. Hor d'oeuvre's were served: eggrolls, bacon-wrapped dates, sesame-crusted tuna, etc. The cooking started with a few short demos from one of the chefs on how to use the knife, pasta press and ravioli cutter. Then we were broken up into three groups by the island stations: salad, ravioli, and apple tart. I was going to make dessert but the salad station needed more hands. Everyone was free to move between the stations but I honestly had so much to do at the salad station that I forgot to check out the other stations. The chefs taught us a few kitchen tricks and helped us to make a killer salad: apples, candied walnuts, spinach, blue cheese, cherry tomatoes, made-from-scratch balsamic vinaigrette, and more. The ravioli and dessert were cooked/baked by the time the salad team had plated the salads. We went to sit down and those with their special food requests got their prepared gluten-free/vegetarian/vegan options whereas the rest of the people got served what the party prepared. (I'm sure they made additional ravioli that they had prepared beforehand.) We had to clear out by 9pm sharp for the 3 hour event. Overall, I really loved their party execution, the venue layout, and the food!

WoW! Was part of a bachelorette party here, staff was awesome, food was GREAT, Sangria had Brandy in it and never stopped pouring!! So much FUN, I can't believe I was part of making that delicious meal. I still dream of the risotto

One of the most stressful part of my job is annually finding somewhere in NYC that can accommodate 60-70 people, promotes team bonding AND is fun. Thank GOD we found My Cooking Party. Even before walking through the door, Sara was so helpful answering every little question I or my team had, including all the dietary restrictions. Once on site, Nate and the team were awesome at keeping things going, making sure all ran smoothly and most importantly that we were having FUN! The Chopped-Style cooking party was THE BEST, and the fact that the wine and beer keep pouring was awesome. We started off with an hour-ish of passed hors d'oeuvres, a MASSIVE cheese board and crudités and then moved into the Chopped style competition where each team selected mystery ingredients and then has to make 2 more hors d'oeuvres to share. To top it off, a curve ball ingredient is given to each team half way through the prep! Then everyone gets to taste the different preparations and a team is declared a winner, while mini desserts are passed. I highly recommend this for any team outing!!

Firm team-building event, come hungry and prepared for an evening of constant eating! Hors d'œuvres and drinks served before we learned to cook 8 different hors d'oeuvres. This place has the kitchen of my dream! Long, clean tables with large cooktops under bright hanging lights, sinks and fridges on one side not blocking any natural light. Experienced instructors (our guy had been here working on this type of events for 8 years!! Ask him to show cutting an onion in different ways), no blah (the cooking itself has to be run efficiently and organized) as there's limited ovens and frying machines. My first time cooking for a large group, so there had to be some trade-off between speed and quality (grilled ~150 shrimps for our dish, shrimp sopes). My one wish was more vegetarian options, just in case people didn't like working with cheese and meat.

My company had our holiday party here last week Wednesday. Absolutely awesome! First let me warn you, the entrance isn't as grand as everything else! The elevator from the street to the 3rd floor seemed as though you were in a final destination movie. The greeters were amazinggggly beyond, took our coats, introduced themselves, and got us drinks! My drink for the night was cider with a shot of rum, Yum! Then we had a "battle of the bites" groups were given ingredients to make an appetizer, and the results were given later. Don't worry folks, you're co workers meal isn't the main meal. We had a formal sit down dinner, Louisville Salad, garlic mashed potatoes, southern style Mac nCheese, Chilean Sea Bass, and steak. Was our menu for the night. Then was time for the prize ceremony, obv my team won best appetizer! Chris was our chef for the night, he was superb, allowed us to use our creativity, and team building experience while guiding us on how we should use our super sharp knives. Not overbearing or hovering. He was excellent!! If I need something for a large group, I will definitely come here again! Well done folks at My Cooking Party!

Their food was excellent and a large part of my 5 stars, of course, but never have I felt so welcomed and at home in a restaurant thanks to its two owners. Their warmth and friendliness truly elevated our night out to the next level. My girlfriend and I stopped in at about 7 on a Wednesday night. We didn't have a reservation but were able to be seated right away. The restaurant was mostly filled, dimly lit, with an eclectic mix of Italian bric a brac scattered about the room. The ambiance was intimate and just perfect. Both Kevin and Cesare were working the room, interacting with guests while taking orders and running food. I ordered a champagne cocktail and pistachio encrusted chicken off the list of specials, while my girlfriend had a smoked Negroni and pasta with mushrooms. We shared tiramisu for dessert. Everything we had was decadent and delicious. The tiny room features a bar just big enough for three bar stools, and a small stage that could fit a handful of musicians. While the food was great, I would be equally as happy to just sit at the bar enjoying live music and watching the happy dance of the diners at their tables. We're not from New York, so sadly we can't be regulars here, but we'll absolutely come back someday, and in the meantime we'll spread the word for people to put this one on their list.

This was truly the most unique culinary and cultural experience that I've ever done!…read more I ventured to Borough Park to attend the Uzbek immersion workshop with Damira. She and her husband warmly welcomed us into their home and led us to a beautifully decorated table of what was described as a "welcome snack," but was actually a delicious feast in itself. There was Uzbek dried fruits, nuts, both sweet and savory pastries, and hot green tea. I loved the Uzbek raisins, which are bigger and juicier and just better than any raisins I've ever had! As we ate, Damira shared photos and stories of her family's life in Samarkand, an ancient city in Uzbekistan that lies on the silk road. Once we were all well-acquainted and nourished, we headed to the kitchen to cook the main feast. On the menu were homemade individual breads, spinach stuffed pastries, a spring cabbage salad, a cucumber potato salad, and a lamb stew. Damira was such a great teacher, demonstrating techniques before having us actively participate in the prep, cooking, and serving of each dish. She timed everything perfectly so that we had breaks and ate basically the entire afternoon, while continuing to engage us in stories of her home and culture. When we sat down for the final meal, the delicious food was somehow made even better from the meaningful connection we all shared while cooking it. The four and a half hour class flew by and while I didn't want to leave, I was very happy when we were each sent home with enough leftovers to last another two meals.

My friend was doing the cooking demonstration and although I got there a few minutes late the staff and crowd was very welcoming. Chef Ayesha is amazing! She is from Shukette which recently opened in Chelsea, a part of the restaurant group of a few other restaurants including Shuka, Vics and Rosies. Also, to have your food prepared by an incredibly high level talented Chef with quality wine pairings is very lovely experience! Sal Rizzo, the owner is very accommodating and very entertaining as a host. he was the perfect energy for the group with very positive and entertaining comments. The space only fits about 30 people and the alcohol was refilled. While the cost might seem high ($145 with fees) for 90 minutes it went a bit over and they did not rush you out. I had five drinks (One proseseco, two white, and two red) so it was well worth it. Service was top not h. The staff were en pointe and attentive. They were always cleaning up after you're making sure that you got your food at the right time. I was also lucky enough that our chef made us laugh the entire time because she has a fantastic personality. Furthermore, every dish was created to perfection and visually appealing with very different interesting flavor profiles. I've been to several of her restaurants and not let down. You are always among a friendly, diverse, foodie crowd and it's a blast. I went alone last night and enjoyed crispy caper and eggplant campionata with potato chips, baby lamb chop with a delis glaze and pomegranate, crispy duck with plum compote and goat cheese cheesecake with macerated berries. Chef was Adrienne Cavalo from Miami and the wine was Trivento from Argentina (i am now a Malbec fan). Another time I went and it was Passamore caviars with great dishes and champagnes.
