The pandemic hit this location pretty hard and they struggled to keep staff from leaving and taking advantage of Maine's unemployment benefits resulting from COVID. I can't hold that agains the General Manager, but it did impact the quality food being put out and made it difficult to keep up with the demand and traffic they got from customers. I used their survey opportunities, after several purchases to raise some concerns around quality and speed of product delivery. I got a response and an apology letter from the GM. To go to that length to address a customer's concern is admirable. Since then, they have been able to get staff to stick around, the food quality has gone up and the service time to getting the final product has greatly improved. I believe the drive thru still has areas of improvement because it still is a bit on the slow side, but I am confident that will improve. I do have to give props to an older worker who recognized I was lactose intolerant when I asked her to remove cheese and avoid a dressing for a salad I had ordered. She was quick to point out which options would best suit my dietary needs. Overall, I am basing this review of the last several interactions I had following the lockdown and the fact the GM took the time to respond to my survey responses and address some of the issues I had raised. They have improved slightly from a customer service standpoint, but their order accuracy continues to be challenge for them specifically in the drive thru. I would say 1 times out of 3 they don't get the order correct. It's usually with the burgers as my thought is they mix it up with the next order. I would order a quarter pounder without cheese and I would get a cheeseburger instead. Quite the downgrade but still paying the quarter pounder price. I don't see the mistake until I get home and I don't feel like going back out. If you use a Credit card, they don't always offer a receipt when you pay and that tends to be the times when my order is screwed up. I am hoping its a coincidence, but the more it occurs the more it feels like a business practice.

The manager, Debbie, refused to do that for me, claiming that it was against company policy to "mix drinks". No other Taco Bell, KFC, or Burger King has ever refused my simple request. Iced tea is almost always offered with lemon, and there is even a drink called an Arnold Palmer that is a combination of iced tea and lemonade. If this is a local location policy, or a corporate policy I sure think she needs a bit of common sense rather than to send a customer away by refusing business. I cancelled my order and left. Before I drove away I tried to go inside to talk to the manager, but the doors were locked at 230 in the afternoon. So I drove back around to the drive thru and discovered that it WAS the manager that refused my request. I asked how to contact the owner of the location and I was told to go online. Worst customer experience ever except maybe at Boomers in Norway. Never have been and never will go back there or let anyone else either! I would ask everyone to share this experience far and wide. I have to say that their food quality and quantity have gotten MUCH better. It's still americanized Chinese food so to expect 5-star dining is an unrealistic expectation. The staff is friendlier and understanding of food allergies. The to-go dishes are taller allowing for more food to be stored. My family and I ordered the General Tso combination plate, the steak low mein combo and the Szechuan chicken combo. Additionally we ordered crab Rangoons and egg rolls. The rice was cooked well, my wife thought it was a bit crunchy for her, the general tso chicken was cooked well and the flavor was good. My son did not complain about his Szechuan chicken, oh and my daughter had the sweet and sour chicken. My wife said the crab Rangoons were a bit on the sweeter side, but they satisfy the craving for them. My daughter loved the egg roll and she typically does not like egg rolls. Overall, I am impressed with the improvement in quality, appearance and quantity. They are still not my local go-to, but if we are looking for something quick and don't want to travel 35 minutes to our favorite Chinese restaurant, they have earned my business back after losing it 2.5 years ago.
