DJ. Earl literally ran our ceremony, cocktail music and the entire reception like no other. Our venue forgot to turn our uprights on, put our photo booth in a non visible place and created a few other issues that Earl stepped up and helped on. We had the opportunity to work with Alex and DJ Earl for my sister's bridal shower using their beautiful and compact social media photo booth. It was a hit at the party!! The photo booth was not ur typical photo booth. It had unique effects (GIFs, boomerang, stickers, etc...) you can use and you can send the photos to yourself electronically so u can post on your social media. These guys were professional, polite, and prompt. We had one minor technical difficulty with the social media photo booth but they did not hesitate to resolve the problem immediately. "A bad DJ can ruin your wedding" This simple phrase consumed my wife and I during the 2 year planning of our wedding. We looked at a dozens of DJs, some were close to the mark, others were too expensive and some were just self-centered and rude. So, after you have talked to 10 or so you build a list of PROs, CONs and DEALBREAKERs (I recommend everyone to do this). After meeting with Earl and Josh we had a list of PROs..... and that was it. At first I was a bit astounded how perfect Josh was going to be as a fit to our ceremony/reception, but after talking more that was replaced with a feeling of relief. I'll go through a few of these PROs to help you understand why. Website: in this day and age I felt its important to have a web presence that helps a client/customer understand as much as they can about a business. It should be 'up to date' with details that have happened to them in the recent past, give clear descriptions of packages available, give concise directions and contact information, and have accurate pricing (I'll get to more of that in a minute). Your DJ (personality): You need someone who is going to represent you, flow with the energy of the event and be able to think on their feet when there is a bump. Many times in our search we found there was a sales guy who was simply slinging his DJs, and as we all know sales guys are never true representations of a final product. Josh was our contact person from our initial E-mails all the way to the wrap up of the event. Location: Well this was an odd thing, you never think to yourself why would the location of a DJ matter. Well here's why it does; First: are you going to be asking someone to drive out of there way, are you going to be charged for fuel, is a meeting at a local Starbucks or at someone's house appropriate before you exchange a couple thousand dollars? Well with My DJ's none of this was the case. They had a well setup office in San Marcos which made us feel at ease about the professionalism. More than that it gave them the opportunity to show off the technical packages and give us a demonstration of their skills. This helped both my wife and I invasion what we would need and how it would go, which took every bit of fear and unneeded anticipation away. Up-front and clear pricing: Out of the dozen or so this actually was the number 1 CON on our list. No matter how we were presented with pricing, most salesmen/DJs were absolutely trying to manipulate it for a much higher "Out the door price." Either there was "A Mistake" or "A Surcharge" even as bad as "Old Pricing". My DJs gave us crystal clear pricing which followed through to the out the door price. They even made making payments easy via their client portal (website). Hardware: This one is a bit hard for most people to understand so it could be a moot point(other than the fact that I'm saying so) make sure they have up-to date audio, visuals and lighting. Going back to the office location, we got to see what we would have at our event, from the LED TV to the latest light show packages it was clear to me they were investing in "the latest and greatest" for their clients. This ended up being important as they worked with our photographer to do a real-time slide show of pictures taken during the ceremony and reception. There are several other specific PROs that they met with flying colors, but you get the point. 2 things that we didn't expect that you should be fully aware of. 1) Unbeknownst to us, Josh arrived with a helper, not something we paid for and may have simply been a one-off because of the level of setup needed, but there wasn't an "Oh yeah btw here's an extra charge." The helper snapped some PICs of the lightning and sound setup (asked us before he did) and a few candids of us all as well. Josh was very nice to send us a digital copy the very next day. 2) The client portal: This little beauty was AMAZING, it helped us not only pick all the music but gave us some much needed direction for a day-of itinerary which we were able to give to other vendors and the site-contact. It has suggestion-lists for music for specific portions of the event(s) and lists reception event ideas which most don't normally think about. So, after all this, we are absolutely positively certain that we made the best choice for the right price. Josh was utterly amazing, Earl was knowledgeable, helpful and an all-around nice guy, right along with the rest of his staff. If your still looking, stop ... meet these guys, you will really be glad you did! read more

We're a youth NFL Flag Football league, My NFL Flag Football in Santee. We had our 2019 Fall Super Bowl Championship on November 23rd and decided to DJ the event. We've had dj's in the past and it never seemed to work out. Too loud or inappropriate sexual innuendos, too many complaints so we did away with dj's for a few seasons. Well, this Fall season we decided to give another DJ a chance. What a turn around My DJ's turned out to be! Positive and complimentary to what we wanted to give our parents! Alex was the best fit for our event. Upbeat, professional, accommodating and interactive with all our teams! He announced all the games, played the NFL team fight songs and played interactive sounds, it was perfect for what we were looking for. I want to thank the entire My Dj's team for making my daughter's wedding reception absolutely memorable. The price was very reasonable and while some say they could have found a cheap price I have to say yes that may be BUT sometimes you have to pay a little more for quality over quantity. I felt reassured when we went to the studio to see, all their equipment (in case something breaks down they have a back up, I especially happy when I saw that they have several vans in the parking lot) I don't think we paid a lot. We got the beautiful monogram, up-lighting, photo booth and pretty much a reception coordinator. Since we didn't get a wedding coordinator I would have been a mess and in tears because there is so much involved. DJ Earl took care of everything. He kept us on schedule within a few minutes of the timeline that he also assisted us in putting together. His music selection was perfect. We were a small party of about 85 so while there were moments that everyone was at the photo booth the rest of the time everyone was dancing. Everyone who could or even couldn't because of bad moves dancing or health reasons DID dance. I highly recommend DJ Earl and his entire time. Gerrilynne his assistant was emailing me at 10PM on a Friday night responding to emails as I send them. Who does that? Who works so late on Friday night and is still super kind. My Dj's does. Earl henry did my wedding in early January of this year. He did a fantastic job on listening to what my husband and I wanted/didnt want played at our wedding.
