After this great experience I have to share it with the yelpers! I reached My flooring expert 3 days ago and from start to finish it was just a pleasure. I purchased an engineered hardwood floors 2 months ago from a different vendor and was waiting for the right timing to proceed with the installation. After getting 3 quotes I met Guy ( yeah that's his name :)). Guy came to my home the same day and show an amazing knowledge in the hardwood floor installation process. I was so impressed from him And from his knowledge that I decided to hire him and his team. The next day Guy show up with 3 other polite and super nice team members and they just installed my entire project In 1.5 days !!!!! 1 day earlier than what he originally promised. They used a special Glue that prevent moisture to come out from the concrete and the base molding craftsmanship was absolutely perfect. I had laminated bamboo floors (which I loved), but needed some repair. In the end, I had My Flooring Expert remove the bamboo and install wood plank vinyl. Nirs gave the estimate and covered some possible add'l expenses if the subfloor needed repair. I was a little worried that this might end up being an escalating cost project. Nirs made sure to cost control and did not add costs other than cost to remove the bamboo flooring which had been nailed to a plywood subfloor. After 25 years, I needed to refinish my maple hardwood floors, but was dreading it. I was not looking forward to moving out while the work was being done, and having the house filled with wood dust from all the sanding. Amit was my first point of contact with My Flooring Expert. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and realistic. He assured me they would cover cabinets and other rooms with plastic, but some dust could not be avoided. He offered the additional service of moving all of the furniture from the rooms that were being worked on to the living room, which had slate floors. In addition to the other 5-star Yelp reviews, that sold me. I have very high standards for whoever works in my home, and I'm very selective about who I choose. Guy understood this. With clear communication skills, he answered all of my questions every step of the way. The two foreman, Carlos and Daniel were excellent. Carlos was patient and careful throughout the process. Daniel had an excellent eye for color matching, and perfectly matched the front threshold color to my custom Koa wood door. Was there dust? Yes. Was it hard having to move out? Yes. No job is without problems. It's not the measure of a company when everything goes right. It's how they address questions, issues, and other unexpected things when they arise. Guy came out with needed supplies and when Raymond arrived, he quickly assessed the situation and determined we needed thicker plywood. He returned within the hour and within two hours, he removed and replaced sub flooring in our bathroom under the toilet, removing and reinstalling our toilet. We recently discovered that we have problems with the wood floor that we installed less than two years ago in our house. The installer who did the work for us is not available and we contacted Guy. From the very first conversation Guy was very kind, knowledgeable and knew how to identify the problem just by looking at the pictures we sent him. Unfortunately, we had a leak from the dishwasher in the kitchen, which caused the wooden floor to get wet and swell. Guy and his helper removed the kitchen floor, then they allowed the concrete to dry while our plumber fixed the leak problem and a few days later Guy came back and installed the new floor for us which luckily we kept several extra boxes in our garage. We had subfloor damage due to rotted wood from a toilet leak. As a result the entire bathroom linoleum floor also needed to be replaced in my mom's 55 yr old home. l requested bids from 3 vendors and Neal with My Flooring Expert came out with the best solution and was the most prepared and responsive. He came out on time and gave an estimate before leaving. His company had a big selection of choices of flooring and colors. They had all the materials in stock and could schedule the job within a week and complete in a day. We liked how Neal recommended to use wood base board instead of MDF that the other vendors recommended. This is due how MDF can swell and be damaged if left wet too long from water from the bath or shower. Although their price was a little higher than the other vendors, My Flooring Expert did a quality job and were very professional. My mom loves the new bathroom floor. read more
