I already pre-sorted the basics, but wasn't aware of some of the other stuff that needed to be taken out. Luckily, the 2 guys there were SUPER patient in explaining to me the differences of materials, how we're sorting it, and what they offer for each. My only gripe is that if you have a large haul and need to park near the sorting area, good luck. The entrance sort of shares the same one with the next door gas station, so it can get clogged if a person is parked. Otherwise, if no one's around, you're good. There is parking in the back if needed

The alternative? There isn't one. All of the local landfills are closed and county officials seem content to sit back and watch folks continue to illegally dump their trash everywhere. Life is better behind the Orange Curtain. The Olinda Alpha Landfill is a well run facility. Hats off to those who work hard to make it so.

I got the testing done, it came back positive for asbestos. I panicked. I called Pacific Environmental for an estimate on the job. Armando and Arturo came out to assess the job and provide with me with a quote. To my surprise, the price was only slightly higher than the regular remediation company. I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability. Additionally, they promised me the job would be completed in 1 day! WOW! This would be best case scenario. The office staff was also very kind and helpful with prompt estimate and response time. Today was the day of the job, I was very anxious and worried due to the fact that my parent's house is very old. The job supervisor, two workers and Arturo came out to ensure that everything would be okay! They did a superior job, kept everything clean, taped off all areas and did a great job with containment!
