We've been bringing our kid here on and off for a few years. First Ninja Jr, then camps, and now Gymnastics. If you want fun, energetic, and patient staff who make sure the kids are having fun while learning something, this is the place. The staff are well trained to enthusiastically greet and remember every child, so the kids feel seen and important. The classes are usually pretty large and noisy, so sometimes it seems like they're herding cats. They positively redirect children when they get distracted or become disruptive. However, if kids are doing anything dangerous or being too disruptive, parents/caregivers are asked to intervene. This place has just the right balance of letting kids be kids, learning classroom skills (listening, observing, waiting in line, taking turns, trying new things), and learning beginning gymnastics skills. If you are trying to develop a future Olympian at a place with strict teachers expecting perfection, this is not the place. If you are looking for a fun place where your child will feel welcome and can learn classroom and gross motor skills, this is the place! read more

Participating in the My Gym in Palo Alto has been such a great experience for our family. The instructors are incredibly engaging and clearly very experienced with young kids. The classes are structured but still feel playful and high energy, which is perfect for toddlers who need both movement and encouragement. What really stands out are the teachers (my daughter loves Ebony in particular!) Every class mixes coordination, balance, music, and imaginative play in a way that keeps kids completely absorbed. My daughter genuinely looks forward to it every week and leaves happy and tired (a win for a tired mom!) Moreover, I loved hosting my 3 year olds' birthday party there. The staff also do a wonderful job creating a welcoming environment for both kids and parents. You can tell they care about the community they're building and it's the interactions do not feel transactional like you would expect. My son was enrolled regularly in MyGym from 2 years old to 3.5 years old. We originally decided to enroll him to get him used to a group/class-based setting and learn how to listen to a teacher's directions, since he was with a nanny and we wanted to prepare him for preschool later on. That was my original intention, but it ended up being a fun bonding experience that we looked forward to every week together, and it helped to foster my son's confidence in his athletic abilities. In between classes, my son always wanted to pretend play My Gym, with him acting as Ms. Jodie or Ms. Ebony and having his stuffed animals be classmates. The teachers are so warm, fun, and friendly, and the classes are endlessly creative. Special shout out to Ms. Jodie, Ms. Ebony, Mr. Zeke, and the owner Ms. Kiki who he loves to ask about when we aren't in class. We now have too busy a schedule to enroll regularly, which was bittersweet for me since we made so many happy memories there together at MyGym. My son continues to ask for more MyGym, so we plan to do continue to do drop-in classes/camps/Parent's Night Out. Located in a little strip mall with a dance/barre studio, music store, and a popular cafe. Parking can be tricky in the front area but you should be able to find parking in the side. Their website was easy to browse and expectations were laid out clearly for trial and membership. I signed up for a trial class for my shy toddler. Everyone here was welcoming. We did a total of 5 classes - missing one class because of sickness and rescheduled- that was very easy. My child did open up a bit but still refused to participate in the group activities. We live a bit away so it was not worth it for us since she still didn't participate that much. I do plan to try again when she is older. read more

We've been bringing our twin toddlers to My Gym for 8+ months and our experience has been fantastic. We always recommend My Gym to our friends and we think it's a very worthwhile experience for kids in the area. First, the staff at this location is what makes it so special. Our kids have become very attached to Kiki, Jeannette, Eboni and other instructors through their time at My Gym, and they look forward to seeing them every day. It's very obvious they love kids and make it a point to remember everyone's names - it only takes them 1 class. They welcome students with a smile and lead class with infectious energy. They're focused on safety as well, constantly monitoring the floor to make sure no one's running toward the swings or falling down any ladders. When we reflected to the staff we thought one of the weekend classes was too full, they opened an earlier class to their age range to accommodate. They're responsible, responsive, and a genuine pleasure to interact with. Next, the curriculum at My Gym is varied and interactive, keeping kids engaged with age-appropriate activities. The gym layout, skill building focus, and class songs / dances change on a weekly basis. Our kids love the new music and climbing new structures. In the younger Waddlers class, kids get some "independent time" where parents are more hands off and they play with instruments and toys with the teachers. As they get older to the Gymsters class, that's replaced with "surprise time" which encourages kids to play pretend and use their imagination. It's obvious the staff puts a lot of time and effort into the curriculum and which physical and mental skills are taught each week while still letting kids explore freely and have fun. Last, the amenities. This My Gym is not the newest location, but the staff is generally pretty good about keeping the facility clean and comfortable. They require everyone to wear socks (only approved socks for the kids) for hygiene, and play structures are wiped down regularly. 10/10 highly recommend read more

My toddler has been coming to classes here for the last few months and absolutely LOVES it. Everyday she asks if she can go to class -- we just upgraded her to an unlimited package because once a week just wasn't enough. The teachers are all so incredibly nice and are total balls of energy. They enthusiastically greet all the kids by name and constantly rotate the activities. For example, in her last class we did "warm up" of singing and stretching in a circle. The instructors then rotated through a ton of gym activities -- swings, assisted summersalts, walking through a obstacle course and more. The class ended with a few more songs and a few other cute entertaining things like a story with finger puppets. Then my daughter cried because she was sad it was over! We are ver my happy with My Gym and love that our daughter can continue to go to classes as she grows up. read more

Tried the waddles class and I found that since my toddler was on the cusp in terms of age, he was older and therefore more developed than the other kids. A lot of the kids were crawling and mine was running so he didn't benefit much from the class. We then came back and tried the Gymsters class where my son was one of the younger ones but he loved it because that pushed him out of his comfort zone. The teachers are great with kids and the classes are well structured. They have a free library of children's books so be sure to bring a book for you to swop. read more

I tried the toddler class on Saturday and Sunday and I found the program lacking in many ways. 1) the sessions are overcrowded. There were 12 kids on the session on Saturday and even more kids on the session on Sunday. 2) the overcrowding of the kids is made worse by having multiple parents in the gym area with the kids. I would recommend having a limit of one parent per child with the rest of the attendees waiting at the bench. 3) my daughter was attacked by a boy in class which was made worse by the overcrowding. 4/ the teacher backed up without looking almost running over my daughter. 5/ the swing had a crack and equipment looks outdated. 5/ the teacher on Saturday shoved a stuffed animal in my daughter's face which was unsanitary. read more

We love My Gym! My daughter has been coming here since she was small- we stopped during Covid and made our way back recently. I honestly wish we made our comeback sooner. The facility has been renovated but the fun and excitement has remained the same. Kiki and her team are engaging, attentive and encouraging. We came with high expectation after reading all the reviews but my perspectives were adjusted after our experience of a 2 year old bday party held on site with 12 kids. Although the party time was 2.30-4pm, the lead class didn't start until almost 3pm, giving extra time for the running late parents. This is a plus and the staff are very friendly and thoughtful. They made sure the bday girl's family was taken care of, from photo taking to cake serving. There are 2 staff onsite to help, Stacy who leads the class and Aerial assists. Stacy has her charm but I think her style fits better for children 4+. With a group of kids ranging from 1.5 year old to 6-7, it is really hard to keep them all together. As a result, all the young ones ran loose, but happily occupied with the ball pool and the climbing facilities. The two main reasons that I did not rate My Gym as high as others are: 1. The eating area on the lobby is a bit too small for our party (12 kids and all their parents) and the congregations seemed chaotic. After awhile, the floor was wet and dirty and I felt gross walking on it with bare feet or socks. 2. Two staff seemed to spread too thin during some activities, such as the zip line. A few times I saw the parents and children almost ran into the zip car as there was no one patrolling the area to make sure it's all cleared off. Of course, with the climb facilities next to the zip line doesn't help to improve the situation. Their big pool of balls is very attrative to the young kids, and their fruit toys, pushing carts and trompoline are also a ton of fun. read more

What an amazing family My Gym is! I've know them for almost 10 years and they are just the best. I have a daughter in the spectrum and they are so inclusive. It is not just a run around time for kids. They make sure everyone works and give their best in classes and have fun at the same time. My daughter had a lot of trouble when she started with confidence and not being able to do the movements, etc, but their encouragement, patience and love makes her feel capable and excited every time we come to class. We've been attending my gym since July 2021. We tried the 2 for $2 and quickly knew that we were bought in after the first class. Kiki an Eboni were the first teachers we interacted with and it was nothing short of amazing. From then on we've gotten to know Max, Isaiah, and Sofia who have all been so wonderful to our daughter. We've now brought family, friends, and coworkers to my gym because of how much we've loved it. Not only is every single activity they do related to child development and preschool/school readiness but the way that they love and interact with each family is something special. Each week we know the gym will look different, offer different activities, and help our daughter in her daily life at preschool. Prior to this, we took our daughter to a gymnastics gym that featured toddler classes and the experience was not at all what my gym is. They truly tailor to the age group they are working with. Attended a party here recently and noticed the place has very few equipment and the vents are coated with a thick layer of dust. Its very stuffy inside. The party was paid to go around an hour and a half. The area where they had all of us have the party barely fits 15 people, imagine having 2 dozen kids and their parents. I've been three birthday parties here - once prior to the pandemic and twice after pandemic in Aug 2021 and again for my own son's 5th birthday party in Oct 2021. After holding our own party at MyGym, at least two of our guest's kids at the party said they would like to have their birthday party at MyGym! One of the kids said 'It was the best day ever!' The customer service Kiki and Mr Max gave was really top notch - balancing professionalism, organization, and high energy excitement customized perfectly for the kid's age group. We really appreciated the special touches and efforts made for a safe and fun time - specifically remembering to bring out our cake at exactly the right time AND ensuring ALL of the kids got an opportunity to enjoy the zip line despite being late to the line. We were recently introduced to MyGym via two different kids' birthday parties... and after a little online research, I've realized that it's a new franchise business with a couple dozen locations already established. This location offers a fantastic indoor play concept combining the best of Gymboree with more advanced equipment like a climbing wall, large ball pit, zip line and rope ladder. The result is a place where my two pre-schoolers can delightedly wear themselves out for hours without asking "what's next?" [By contrast, my experience with Gymboree is that it's best for kids under 2.] For the parties, MyGym also provided a couple of super-high-energy hosts who kept even the least enthusiastic kids entertained. They also offer classes for kids of all ages... so we may well try one of these out soon. read more

I've been going here since October 2018 and love it! Teacher Kiki and Talicia are so much fun and energetic. I love their attitude towards the kids and they always give tips on how my son can improve on certain things. For example my son didn't start walking until about 13 months. Before he started to walk, they gave me advice on what to do and what to watch for. Like when his toes are curled up because he was so nervous. I never noticed that before and that I needed to help him relax. They are very personal teachers and will always greet you by your child name right when you walk in. The activities they have helped my child with his developmental and cognitive skills. All while at the same time having fun. The facilities there are very clean and doesn't smell like bleach or cleaning chemicals. The gym sets that they have there are safe and they always have padding around areas so if they do fall, it's in a thick gym mat. It takes us about 30 mins to get here and we have to pay the 6 dollar toll to cross the bridge. Would I say it's worth it? Heck yeah, I would do it everyday if I could. At which point I almost did when I went there 2-3 times a week :) read more

They are fun, active and very loving towards alllll the children and super supportive and respectful to the parents. Great place! My daughter started attending MyGym of Palo Alto for about 2 years now, originally for a place to play when we couldn't go to the park due to weather conditions. Now she enjoys it so much that we're lucky enough to be apart of the unlimited program. My daughter is now in the Terrific Tots class; as we walk in, the teachers welcome and talk to her and the other children, which is simple yet incredibly helpful especially when my daughter was a more reserved type of toddler, they made her feel comfortable. The class consists of free play, structured activities, and circle time. Although my daughter loves to play at the park and home, the hour of learning/discovering different methods of play, learning the foundation of engaging/corporation with her classmates/teachers has actually boosted her confidence to do things that challenge her outside of class, excitingly... some of which excel the developmental stages of her age. She has also started the preschool prep program, which is another class that she talks about so much, at home she pretends to play "preschool prep" haha. I highly admire the teachers, they are all very kind, energetic, and patient. Some accomplishments from this program, as my daughter is over 2.5 years old; she can say/recite the sounds of the alphabet, identify and write her name, trace, talk about the weather...and much more its really nice to see :) ! Held a birthday party there for my 4 year old and also had my one year old in tow. The kids, aged 1-12, had a blast! They did a great job keeping everyone engaged and were high-energy the entire time. The activities were well organized and varied. The other parents were grateful to be able to be hands off and just watch their kids enjoy themselves. The other parents also took plenty of pictures and videos of their children enjoying themselves. Lots of smiles all around. Even the little ones found their happy place. This is a great place for active children. The owner and workers "get it". You can tell they enjoy their jobs. My little one has been going here for classes from when she was 1-2.5 years old. It's the perfect place for that age as they have a lot of fun activities during open play and during classes change things up a bit by adding different activities. The instructors are the best--super energetic and always offering to help if they see I need help with a child. Bob the owner is very friendly and seems to really get involved with the kids and say hello. Wish there were more open play sessions and since you have to take your shoes off wish they would change the carpet in front as seems quite worn/stained.
