My daughter used to go here regularly after I had my second baby. It was such a warm and welcoming space that I really needed during the newborn haze. My oldest needed some social interaction and time out of the house and My Gym was perfect. We went to multiple classes a week. I felt comfortable bringing my baby and nobody judged as I bounced her around in a carrier, in fact plenty of parents did the same exact thing. They offer memberships and camps and other fun pop-up events here and there. My daughter definitely gained some confidence coming here which is exactly what I was looking for. She's in preschool now but I will be getting my youngest a membership here soon! read more

This class was poorly led. No one has the charisma or command control of the room to make any child WANT to follow their lead or directions. They let kids do whatever and not try to stay with the program which was created with teaching and learning in mind. No calls to follow up or reaching out to me directly during their trial period. Also while i was in class I found out a kid was 6months OVER the age limit for that class and not one teacher CARED that child is not placed properly or learning up to his potential or clue in their parent to sign up for the next class for 6 months!?!? MyGym is a lovely place for children. My son started coming here around 15 months and now at 22 months still loves it. We go 2-3 times a week. They have a regular schedule and a slightly different summer schedule. He adores the teachers, Jasmine, Ally, and Alice, among others, but they're all great and know how to pay attention to all of them and remember all their names. They're flexible in terms of payment freezes and work with you if you need something. They have different adventures each week so it keeps the kids interested, but if they aren't into it, they have a grand old time exploring the gym on their own. There are plenty of learning opportunities and my son comes home with little things he picks up there, like bye-bye hands or jumping skills. Best of all, they really make the kids feel special and happy, and enjoy their jobs. So if it works with your schedule, I highly recommend MyGym! read more

Having taken advantage of the drop in camps, weekly classes, and open gym, I can say that I love the services that My Gym provides. My VERY energetic daughter is always wiped after spending time here, and the staff is great. For less than an hourly babysitter, my child can have a great experience with new friends in an environment that extends what she learns in preschool. read more

I do not recommend going to this facility with your child for safety reasons. I do not normally leave negative reviews but this instance it's necessary to let people know this facility do Not follow safety guidelines. My child fell and hit her head and was unconscious. Accident was not reported. The reason why she was unconscious because floors in this facility Not padded. I had to take my child to ER two times after the accident and my child developed fever 104F due to the head injury. Pad your floors make sure kids are safe when they fall. Floors are hard and not padded. I will not be returning to this facility again. read more

1.) Introduction: Have you ever had play date plans that were constantly cancelled? In this day and age it seems to me that everyone is always busy with their lives that we forget about what our children need. And that's socialization with children of their own age. 2.) Aesthetics - Inside and Out: Outside its a brick building, next to CVS and across from Taste of India. Inside its a place full of fun for children laid out with colorful toys and flooring. There chains dangling from the ceiling for swings, ladders, ramps, trampolines and zip lines. 3.) Service: They make this place absolutely fun. Sometimes, depending on staff they will discipline your child. I've heard them speak in a stern or low tone to a child who was either being selfish with equipment or pushing into other children. For the most part, this is a young staff. And contrary to what was said of their disciplining children, they are bunch of very polite, energetic, fun and friendly people. 4.) Classes: Choose a class during the week from Monday through Friday. Classes are about an hour long. I think you can select up to 2 Classes a week. Many people have been signing up so they may limit you. 5.) Prices: There am initial fee, about $40 to start, then they do recurring billing for $30 a month. You can choose to cancel any time and restart your child in these classes and just pay the $30 a month. 6.) Extra info: Ages for this I recall go up to 12 years of age? They split them up into classes, and they are an age range specific facility. They have groups for 1.5 to 3 year olds, a 2 to 3 year old group, 4 to 6 year group, etc. They have days in which you can drop your kids off for 4 hours and they watch and entertain your child with toys, gymnastics, free play, singing time (which consists of an a large educational aspect). During this time, you, the parent, can take that time to go do errands, go out for lunch or dinner with your date/significant other, etc. 7.) Impressions: Come here if you'd like your child to get some structured play, if you don't have money for day care, or you just want to get your child out of the rut when play dates don't fall through. This is a great place for kids to learn a number of useful skills. It's not a gymnastics gym, but it is. My daughter has been going weekly for 6 months, and the growth I've seen in her abilities to navigate physical objects, sit and enjoy circle times, learn to follow direction and to respect her peers has been wonderful. The teachers are great and their focus is always on the children. They work very hard to make sure they are making everything a chance for the child to learn either how to use their strong muscles or get used to taking direction and following it. Albeit, sometimes it seems like herding cats would be an easier task! They do their jobs fantastic! The gym is always clean and bright. I highly recommend this place for you and your children if you're looking for an activity to get out of the house and get some exercise. read more

My kids came here for a birthday party and they had a BLAST (almost 2 and 3 yrs old). So much so that I decided I'm going to have their combined bday party here in the fall. It's not bad at all from a base price point especially if you are not a member. The staff is so great to deal with as well. They are very welcoming, accommodating and great with the kids. I'm so excited for the party!! Update: WOW! They did an AMAZING job with my kids bday party this weekend. I highly recommend. It ends up costing as much as throwing a party in your home but the perks are everything is organized for you by the staff including setup and cleanup and games/activities/engagement! You can also bring ANY food and as many adults as you wish! No restrictions on that end. Very ideal!! read more

The first time I arrived at MyGym I was having a rough couple of weeks of being a first time mom. I had recently moved to CT from out of state, was very overwhelmed, a little lonely, and anxious. I arrived to discover I had mixed up the days and my sons age group wasn't the current class (he's only 15 months and the kids playing were easily 5+). Nate greeted me as I realized my mistake. Mentally exhausted, I had a total breakdown and started crying, I was embarrassed, extremely anxious, & I couldn't seem to stop crying. I apologized but Nate reassured me there was no need to apologize, he got us enrolled and signed up to the next class for my sons age & more important made me feel less of the mess I clearly was. He was so kind & welcoming, I and tearing up just thinking about his level kindness during that particular time where I was struggling. The following day we returned for the correct age group, I was still embarrassed from my breakdown, Nate was there & remembered my sons name. Nate made me feel un-judged as if nothing happened at all. He is a true gem of a person & I cannot thank him enough for the kindness he showed me and my son. read more

We tried a trial membership for 2 weeks for $29. Went one time. It was a good class for a lot of the kids but my grandaughter isn't ready for it. They auto bill for $119 per month if you don't cancel membership before trial ends. I started trying to cancel four days prior to end of trial and had difficulties particularly because the gym is closed for 3 days. Where to cancel was not at all obvious but there is a youtube video that gave instructions. You you have to get into account ,then into schedule classes, then click on the child's name then you will be an option to cancel. The more obvious tabs were profile and payment which didn't work. You are trying to cancel not schedule a class, seems deliberately unclear. read more

I brought my son to the 11:15 free trial class early, around 10:50, so I could feed him beforehand and get settled. However-when I walked in, the smell was atrocious-like that of a boys locker room. Also, no one even acknowledged our presence-and we stayed for a good 5 minutes. We are not interested in ever returning. I took my son to romp n roll in Wethersfield the week prior and it was the most pleasant experience--clean environment, friendly staff. I live in West Hartford, and it's worth the extra 15 minute trip for us to go there. How disappointing. read more

We had a really great experience with My Gym for my son's birthday party. I can be a tad type A *cough* understatement *cough* so I really loved how structured the party was. The activities were interactive but short and sweet, so the children were not overstimulated. They kept us on schedule and politely kicked everyone out at the end. I've been to children's parties at other similar facilities and I think MyGym does the best job with small children. We have also been here for free play. This is also a good option for keeping the little ones entertained in an educational environment. My Gym, West Hartford, is an amazing place for my family! It is a clean, friendly, fun gym for kids. My twins (2.5 yrs. old) have been attending for two years and absolutely LOVE going! The professional staff is friendly and enthusiastic, always putting the kids safety first. In my observation of the classes I noticed that the instructors make sure every child is participating and to the best of their individual ability. The twins advancement of physical and social skills was a bonus. I also had the twins Birthday parties there...Everyone that attended ,ages 8 months to 6 years old had fun and didn't want to leave, book early the Birthday parties fill up months in advance.
