I went today for 60 minute full body massage and the lady left like 4-5 times. Apparently she was the same person taking payments. When I tipped she asked for more in which I refused since I didn't get the full 60 minute massage due to her disappearing. Came here to relax and wanted to leave feeling better. The masseuse had me pay first (which fine I guess) but the massage I received was not worth the amount of money I paid in the beginning. And to make matters worse they are asking for more money by tip at the end. I paid for a service (not a very good service) and then ask me for more money at the end of it all. They gave me a hard time when I told them straight up I don't want to tip it was not good. They tried making me put money down I did not want to give. The massage itself was lazy. Just a bunch of random rubbing and avoiding the areas that are actually tight. They were harsh when asking me to roll over not soothing at all. They didn't go up to the full 60 minutes and say that the foot soaking in the beginning is part of the massage?? I decided to give this place another shot. Although I will never be coming back. My money goes a lot longer way somewhere else with actual intention of a massage. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Wanting to relax today my friends and I went to get a message. We had a terrible experience at this place. The massage was not even a real massage--just random rubbing with no technique or effort. To make things worse, the staff made me feel extremely uncomfortable about tipping. They actually chased us to our car, clearly upset that we didn't tip more. Tipping is based on service, and the service here was awful. A massage should be relaxing, not stressful. One of the most bizarre and uncomfortable experiences I've ever had at a massage place. My friends and I visited for a massage, and while the service was ok, we were absolutely appalled by how they treated us when it came to tipping. After paying for our services, we were literally chased to the parking lot because the staff didn't think we tipped enough, despite no minimum tip being posted anywhere. We felt harassed and embarrassed, and I'm still shocked that this kind of behavior is acceptable. I have gone to this place over 10 years. I will have up to 3 massages a year. I have always left feeling better and had a great massage. They are under new management and the business is even better. You can't beat reflexology and massage for $40 dollars an hour. Also, sometimes people take their anger out on businesses and people. They are trying to improve. I communicate during massage if I don't like something. Pressure using numbers. Also, they speak another language so they may not say their words right. Paying upfront ok. Went here w my husband last week for the couple's massage full body massage. I was a bit disappointed bc 1st of all, the pressure wasn't as hard as I like it. When they did my upper back and traps it was kinda hard, but I would have liked it to be at that level (or harder) all over. Secondly, they did not do my feet. I guess when I am used to that at my regular massage parlor, I expect it at all massage parlors. Lastly, they ended it at 55 minutes when it was supposed to be a full hour. My massage was rushed and the 90 minutes wasn't completed the masseuse would constantly leave the room either to tend to customers or answer the phone and she go to get the hot stones and towels will take at least 5 minutes to come back each time. Here I feel the massage is more relaxing, focusing on targeted knot areas, but not fighting with the knot to iron it out. They use cucumber scented lotion. The face and head massage is carefully structured. Very relieving if you have sinusitis. I recommend trying it here. I have never had a more disturbing massage in my life. The man who did my intake also did my massage. (Not normal, he was in plain clothes) . I do not believe he is licensed and he touched me in areas that were not appropriate. The whole thing made me sick to my stomach. I looked them up with the state board and they are not showing licensed. I filed complaints with the city and the state board. I should have listened to other review. The woman working the front desk was pushy, but the service was a better deal. Upon entering for the Massage, I just rode to appropriate clothing and lay down on the table. The assist did not come in for another 10 minutes spent 15 minutes, rubbing my back, not massaging, and then left for 15 to 20 minutes to deal with a phone call received and have an argument with another person working at the facility. She then returned and began rubbing my legs. Whereas when I looked, she was texting on one hand wall absolutely rubbing my legs with the other. She didn't said Massage was over, maybe an hour Massage for a 90 minute payment. Upon exiting a claim the service was poor and I would not be providing a tip and I needed a refund. My mother came here for a massage and wasn't satisfied because she was expecting a full hour of massaging yet the lady kept going in and out during the massage.. after the massage she decided since it wasn't the best experience she decided to leave only a $5 tip, mind you, there is no law that requires you to tip. It is not mandatory to tip, it is voluntary and the amount you tip is for you to decide. After leaving a $5 tip and proceeding to the door, she was stopped and told to come back and the lady pointed to this sign and demanded that she tips $10. My mother, embarrassed and not wanting to argue, hands her another $5 and hurries out the door. This is honestly a load of bs, I work in the beauty industry where tips are appreciated but not mandatory, and I have many people that do not tip me after my services and I just have to understand that maybe they just don't have the extra money to tip. Everyone works hard for their money and they can choose to use it however they like but to be hounded into tipping more than what is rightfully deserved.. I cannot stand for that. This place is so unethical and has horrible service. Do not waste your money. They lie to your face and do not care. My husband and I went for a massage. I haven't been to this happy feet location in years. They were always wonderful before but apparently it's under new management and that explains why it's so bad now.... I paid 50 dollars for my one hour massage. My husband has health issues and is unable to lay down to be massaged so he has to sit while being massaged due to a severe acid reflux problem or he gets very sick. . I explained this to the lady at the front desk. I asked if they had chair massages available and she said yes. I explained three times to her and she told us that they do chair massages for 30 dollars. That was a lie. Not only is it not on the menu but they don't have cen have them. I didn't know at the time. We paid 30 for his "chair massage " up front. We walked back and there were no chairs. The lady lifted the back of the bed up to a sitting position so it wasn't really the chair massages we expected but whatever. After about five minutes, the person massaging my husband tried to make him lie down. He told him again that he couldn't lay down. After going back and forth with the person massaging him my husband told him that he couldn't do the massage because it was not what we purchased. So my husband walked out. He asked the lady for his money back and they would not give it to him. They said he already started the massage even though he didn't get massaged and was lied to about the services that were being purchased. I learned about what happened when my massage was done. I asked for the money back and she still refused. So I asked for change for a twenty dollar bill to tip for my massage and she gave me ten back and told me it's a ten dollar minimum tip. And pointed to the sign. I told her no I want my money and she argued with me. I've never seen service like this in my life! Do not go here there are so many better places to go. Horrible service . My husband and I went in and asked for a 30 minute foot massage for him and a 30 minute combo massage for myself. I'm asked to pay and I was ok with that, but then she forced me to pay a $20 tip which we were upset about, but whatever we paid it. Once we went in I reminded them that my husband was only a foot massage and I was a combo and they responded "ok", well I never received my back massage only received a foot massage. Keep in mind I paid ahead of time and was charged $72 dollars plus the $20 tip, which is completely overpriced compared to other places and more professional. DO NOT GO HERE. I walk in and the old woman comes from the back and sees this chocolate man at the counter standing 6'3 280 and her face instantly changed. I asked for a deep tissue massage and she said pay up front... I'm a lil taken aback but no worries... Even wrote in a $10 tip before even stepping in the back. This woman looked over the counter and told me to tip more because deep tissue is more effort. I immediately cancelled and asked for a refund. My money is good and a tip is earned. You've treated me like a suspect since I walked in the door but you're the one trying to rob me. I tip based on effort. The $10 was because I am a decent person even in the face of tactless antics but you will not tell me what to do with my money before I even know if it's worth the extra.
