After combing threw a few stores for Black Friday sales, I came up empty handed until I reached J Crew. Much of the store was sales rich, i.e. 50-60% off. I was giddy at seeing all the sales signs. They were stocked with many variety of sweaters - plain and Christmas in a variety of textures and materials. They also had a plethora of new items since my last visit. In the last few weeks, I have been on the hunt for dark chocolate (fall trending color) suede shoes and a handbag. Today was my lucky day for dark chocolate suede shoes. Yes, I purchased them at 60% off the ticketed price...that's the good news. The bad news is that they have to be ordered online via the store. I received expedited shipping and therefore can receive my shoes as early as tomorrow but no later than Monday. Yay!!! While this was not best Black Friday sales run, even one item at a good price brings me great joy!

I love the Castelbel scents! I love the Lemons, Cotton Flower, and Lavender scents, and during the holidays, they bring in the Christmas scents like Sugar Cookies and Peppermint. Today I went to two Marshalls. I just had to stock up. Plus, a lover of soap, like me, got to the first one before me and only left three bars. I didn't see my creamy Goat Milk soap. Did I mention that soap is only $3.99 a bar? It's such a great value, and the clerk told me the day the truck comes in. I really appreciate that information, thank you!

One of my Finance groups hosts a monthly Finance meeting at The Domain. Shopping...some of my favorite fun stores are at the Domain such as J. Crew and Anthropologie. I love these two stores because they have unique goods at great prices, in general, and specifically, have amazing sales. If you are a big baller, you can shop at stores like Neiman Marcus, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Tiffany's and whole host of other high stores. I'm a tiny baller. Smile. Dining - At the Domain you can get reasonably priced foods to high end fare. Some of my favorite places to dine in the Domain include Glorias, Flower Child, Paul Martin's and Haywire. Important to note, most restaurants have great happy hours and associated amazing prices. Nightlife - Some say that The Domain (especially on Rock Rose Avenue) is the new 6th Street (known for its bars and Live music). I would not venture out that far. However, if you want to party in the wee hours of the night, you can do it at The Domain. Fun Experiences - You can transport yourself to fun such as IPIC movie theatre, Museum of Illusion or the Battle of the Games. I went into DDs Discounts today, this was my first time shopping in the store. i spent 165$ , not realizing I hadn't had enough money for my purchases in my bank, the charge covered was 120$ after running my debit card, there was a remaining balance of 46$ I naturally wanted to put back some items, I hadn't had enough cash on me to cover the remaining balance, instead of the cashier taking off items, she refused to take off items, stated they don't do that at this store.. I was baffled because I never heard of that, I don't shop often.. the manager JESSICA MEDINA walks up and first thing she says is " first off loose the tone.. " she directed that at me, mind you I had no tone, I was just simply trying to figure out how to complete the transaction ... they actually had me leave the store, without anything... I kinda felt robbed at this point because I just ran my debit card for 120$ had no receipt of purchase no merchandise ... I went home without the items, to go get the remaining balance. I live 1.5 miles away from the store I went back to finish the transaction I did complete my purchases... later that evening at 9pm I look at my receipt I was charged for everything on the receipt.... I noticed I'm missing items. I went back to the store again... they had my missing items stuffed behind counter. My question is why were they taken out!! I had to go back again to retrieve these items at 920pm... my question is why were these items taken out?? they knew I was going back to finish the transaction!!!!! they even said they will hold the items behind the counter until I return with remaining money owed...the items were already placed all together in a very large plastic bag... I watched as the cashier rangup my items and placed them into the bag... I actually left the store went home to get cash for the remaining balance owed since they couldn't take off items , I went back and the Lady manager JESSICA MEDINA was rude yet again to me . I don't understand how I am in the wrong??? all I was trying to do was complete the transaction.. This lady Manager JESSICA has the worst customer service skills. She's rude, and disrespectful, short tempered, and literally walks around the store like she's the absolute shit.. lady you got one thing right you are shit!! Rubbish!! Horrible!!!! when I walked into the store that afternoon I even told the front staff it was my first time shopping at DDs Discounts i was very bubbly and polite i was happy and excited about finding a new inexpensive place to shop... Again today, I was in the store for 15 minutes, tried on items abd found my own open dressing room. No one acknowledged my presence. The merch isn't flattering either. I see no need to return to any of their stores ever again.
