We came into town with a broken furnace. It would would run two mins then shut down. The tech showed up on time, he got to work right away. He found that the electrical board/switch was drawing like 14 amps instead of the reg 12. He made sure that we didn't try to light the furnace at anytime due the heat coming off the wires. This is a bran new 2020 Cougar! The dealer was telling us we need to go to certified RV place. Whatever I'm living in this broken RV so should I camp on your lot for a month. Crazy. I hired My Mobile RV Service to diagnose and repair the electric brake system on my 5th wheel. I am equipped with 2 7,000 pound axles, 12" drums, 8 lugs. The technician diagnosed a short circuit caused by debris in the left rear drum from a blowout prior to my ownership. The price quoted sounded fair and I booked the repair work. I was staying short term at KOA Lazy Days in Tucson paying a premium for a Solar Shaded space, which was of benefit to the technicians comfort, as well as my own. The repairs, rewiring the brakes from tongue to drums and complete brake assemblies took place on Thursday. I was booked in until Saturday so this was timely. Upon close inspection, the tech. found the drums to be warped, and I agreed it was best to complete the overhaul with 4 new drums and bearings. I acted as runner, picked them up where he sent me and the process was not delayed. Saturday, I go to leave and I have no brakes. My Ford Integrated Trailer Brake did not detect the presence of the trailer, all the lights were connecting properly, not the brakes. Even though the technician, having checked his schedule assured me he would be out on Sunday to look at it, it was a holiday weekend it was Monday before he arrived. Monday he diagnosed a non-existent short in the umbilical costing me $50 for a replacement. It gave me the opportunity to double check and secure all of my pinbox connections. Everything hooked up correctly, I performed a final test by pulling my breakaway switch to engage the brakes so I could verify thier operation in an emergency. This is a test I perform prior to every haul. This time the newly installed brake wire burned completely through its insulation and almost started a fire. The breakaway system is the only system on my rig which is unfused, a not uncommon practice in the RV industry. The new wire burned all the way back to the rear axle. Upon my inspection, I found a 16/2 black/red with no outer insulation and no markings. The cable which came out was marked Certified Brake Cable on the gray outer insulation. As I stated, the installed wire had no markings. It was clear to me it was the wrong cable and the system still had a short circuit. I spent hours and hours going over every other circuit in the rig to ensure the problem was isolated to the brakes. It took one solo trip by the technician and a final trip on Thursday with his senior tech. before it was clear that the wrong wire was installed. I have an email from the principal of My Mobile RV Service confirming the wrong wire was installed. I was delayed by 5 days at a premium site incurring expenses due to their error. When I asked to be reimbursed for my expenses, the vendor declined. I will not have posted my experience in such detailed negative terms had they done the right thing, having admitted fault, and covered my expenses. read more

I like this company. The tech I worked with was courteous and knowledgeable. Their prices seem reasonable and they charge a 55 dollar show up fee which was only assessed on the first call, though I am not at all certain what their policy is on the matter. They fixed a plumbing leak and stopped by to recheck it and also performed a bearing repack and inspection. I watched the tech do the work and he provided a tutorial on all things axels, brakes and bearings. read more

I had a hiccup with my slide out hydraulics and searched for a mobile repair to come and fix it. I called MY MOBILE and Ryan came out to see and make repair. He came, looked, puttered, then went to get a jack in hopes that he could jack it out. It only went a few inches under the jack pressure but not all the way. It was definitely jammed. He didn't hesitate to take my money as he did "something", which wasn't fixing the problem but causing even more damage. I'm handicapped and what someone does in an hour takes me all day. I took it a step at a time and two weeks later, With the help of HWH tech by phone, I had diagnosed and manually closed the slide. Evidently, Ryan had ABSOLUTELY NO knowledge of the HWH slide system and managed to damage the mechanism even more by jacking it. There are NO hydraulics professionals in Tucson so it's repairs are going to have to wait until the next time I get to HWH in Iowa. As with most RV services, MY MOBILE RV SERVICE is good for the simple repairs, much like hiring a teenager or handyman but even more expensive. I am on disability and I paid over $120 to have a serviceman cause more damage that, in all respects, will cost over $1500. to repair. They charge a "come out" fee even if they don't fix the problem. Two other mobile companies visited and said that they didn't have the knowledge and didn't charge anything. If I find that I have a repair need and I can't do it myself, I'll call another company. read more

I called around to all the big name dealer in town and nobody could get me in to look at my RV. I called rick's and they were able to get me right in. I had a problem with my leveler jacks plus I wanted some modifications to my 110 power outlets. He did a great job working with me and I was expecting a huge bill for everything he was doing but he was so reasonable which was a very unexpected outcome. Careless repairman Ryan broke the igniter on our RV fridge while trouble shooting. He then diagnosed the igniter as the problem. MyMobileRV wasn't able to find an igniter in less than 3-6 weeks. I found one within a week but after spending $200 found out that wasn't the problem. Fridge still inop on propane. Not service you can trust. read more

Simple story with big results. 2016 Newmar, 45' class A, I wont take it to the local dealer for anything, including warranty work. Rick's team works with Newmar and gets things done. The latest was a major component not manufactured by Newmar but an after market company. Rick's, primarily "Teri" , work out a deal for the original manufacture to warranty the component with the only charge being shipping. Service is part of their name and they have proved it each time I have used them. They do what they say, when they say and work very hard to gain your trust. I am a fulltime rver in a 40' diesel pusher. In June, while in Las Vegas, had my original Atwood 6 gal water heater replaced with a new 10 gal, rapid recover unit. Then eight months later, the electric side of the heater failed while in Tucson. After checking Yelp, the reviews for Rick's impressed me. It is too easy to be ripped-off, the repair fails and you are already on the road again. When I called, Rick's listened to what I had to say and promptly had a technician to the rv. Let me say the tech knew rv systems and quickly identified the failed relay. Rick's handled the warrenty work with Atwood, got the new Atwood relay and within days had it fixed. Excellent job Erica! Once again RICK TO THE RESCUE!! Woke one morning refrigerator not cold. Call Kathy and she schedule us on his way home. Showed up figured it out within minutes. During a serious storm we had a blip of electricity. Didn't think anything of it. We had a blown fuse we didn't know existed. We have an eight week old Tab trailer and after a boondocking trip a slight leak appeared in the bathroom. I am a first time RV owner who has the typical love/hate relationship with my brand new Forest River FR3. Before I got it home to Tucson, from the Texas dealer (via Minnesota), one of the slides failed and I had a list of problems as long as my arm. One of the other slides has since failed - they fixed that better than new too. Finding Rick and his team has saved my sanity!!!! They helped me get everything fixed up just the way it should be. They have custom modified the things I wanted changed and repaired additional components that have failed and those I have broken because I'm a dope!. We have added an extra air conditioner; fabricated the engine grill grating which Forest River omitted; repaired and re-screened the walk-thru door; serviced the generator twice; finished a ladder recall and replace; installed a tow bar, vehicle tow plates and torpedoes for my tow car; installed an awesome mud flap across the back; fixed all the lights and mirrors that fell off. I LOVE THESE GUYS and I just had another appointment where they installed super springs and more sway bar suspension mods as well as routine generator, battery, A/C & furnace service...and they found a broken weld they repaired on the entry step unit. Just got an older class A RV and it had a problem with one of the hydraulic levelers and another with a malfunctioning taillight. Found Ricks and loved the idea of a mobile service rather than dropping it off, waiting to pick it up, etc. They fit us in quickly and communicated via email and text. Even let us add a task via email at night and get a confirmation that it was on her list first thing in the morning. Everything from start to finish was highly professional and also friendly. Our mechanic, Ericka, showed up on time, did a great job and the charge was reasonable. Can't recommend Ricks more highly. Will definitely use them again should we have any problems. read more

Okay, so we were out of town and had an electrical problem on our RV. We were an hour away from Tucson, and called three local places in Benson, AZ. We had a house call from somebody who clearly knew nothing about RVs. A lady at the park said "you better call Saul" not really, she said call Rick. She has used him a number of times, and so do all of the snowbirds in the park where they winter in Tucson. He would have come to Benson, but we waited until we got back. He was running behind, Kathy who sets the appointments, called us and told us he was running behind. When he got there he quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem for LESS than what we paid the clueless man for thirty minutes of doing nothing. Two thumbs up for Rick's RV Service. We we traveling through Arizona and were in Benson when we realized we had an issue with our bedroom slide not closing completely. I saw the positive reviews on Yelp and emailed the service that night asking if they could work on my kind of slide and before we were scheduled to leave by the end of the week. I got a response the next day and scheduled a service call. Rick responded and quickly evaluated the situation, developed a work plan and quickly fixed the slide. Great work! A bit disappointed by the experience we had with Ricks. I must say the service person was thorough but overall left us with the same situation we had after mistakenly using another RV service to repair the electric hot water heater. The other outfit found that the power management module was faulty and recommended replacing it, which we ended up doing, but in the meantime, managed to rewire the cabin so that the kitchen and bath outlets were no longer hooked into shore power. Instead, Sandy's RV routed the wiring through the 600 amp inverter. We had a separate outlet installed just for the use of our laptops when boon docking off of this inverter and the other outlets were left to function off of shore power or the generator. Now, everything in the cabin must use the inverter to function. I'm not an electrician but I have doubts about the ability of a 600 amp inverter to handle large loads. Not sure why it wasn't possible to get back to the original configuration of shore power working the outlets, but Rick's didn't help out in that regard. My suggestion is to find someone who knows more about electricity in RV's. I do understand that larger RV's often come with an inverter sufficient to work what is in the large models, but this one did not come with an inverter - it was added later for a specific purpose. read more
