The day of the event Francesca arrived on time and started preparing the meal right away. She came very prepared and had everything she needed to prepare the meal. We had set times for the appetizers for arriving guest to enjoy and a set meal time for the entrees. Everything was prepared on time. Francesca prepared a large table full of beautiful appetizers inside our home and a buffet-style lunch in the backyard. Oh, and not Take-out, or a 'drop and run' food delivery leaving me to figure out set up...Right. After calling around to several local restaurants, I got curious about what a "private chef" was all about. Enter Chef Warren. After a short conversation it was clear this gentleman was 1. A true professional 2. kind, accommodating, and down-to-earth 3. could read my mind and put my 'vision' on a menu while still keeping costs in mind. All necessary serving equipment we needed was available and he would even check out our event facility to avoid any surprises . HCD took wonderful care of us throughout the entire process by being very attentive to details and excellent in their communication. They reply very quickly to emails and calls and they always made me feel important and understood! When I was very nervous about 3 weeks before my wedding, I asked Heather to call me and we discussed our floral plans again. I told her I wanted to add on a couple of pieces, and even with it being last minute, she was super accommodating and was able to add the pieces I wanted! They were early and set up before guests arrived. The set up was clean, organized, and professional. It appeared to be a family affair and the teenagers assisting were very polite as they served the food to each guest. They had the standard 3 meat selection, rice, beans, guacamole, and chips and salsa. Everything was delicious, including the freshly made guacamole and salsas. I did not hear one complaint from the guests and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. I saw people going for seconds and thirds, haha trying to act like it was their first trip.
