We were given the best service possible. Great crew, owner and office support. Highly recommend. Good communication. The owner did survey. I underestimated what I was going to have them take. The truck was full and before they filled it up, they asked me what was priority. I asked them to take bulky and heavy items. My husband and I were able to take the rest. lt helped the cost to stay with one truck not two. We saved $2,000 by using them and getting good feedback. Where do I begin? Donna, answered my initial call and stayed in harmonious contact with me even when the move was over. The two movers (Dean and DW) with a nice, clean truck, showed up right on time. Dean came into the apartment to see exactly what they would be taking. It was raining that day, but no worries. They took pride in their moving skills and laid quilted pads throughout, to walk on. They listened to my concerns then, "My Movers" methodically went to work... They smoothly and quickly wrapped all tables to prevent any scratching of the furniture. I must say - I was mightily impressed! This short move was my first experience with their company. It will most definitely not be the last as I tend to move around quite a bit (four times in less than three years) as we learn the area. We've rented and purchased a home, and rented again and again. We didn't realize how terrible the previous movers were, until now having an exceptional team. Brad, came out to give me a personal estimate on the moving costs. My Movers were right on target with their pricing...not the highest nor the lowest. But the way the pair worked and the care they took with all items has me singing their praises. I hired MyMovers for a move on 8/10/2020. All the other reviews I read were great, so I felt good about choosing this moving service. Unfortunately, that was a mistake. The only slot they had available for me was at 7:30 am, which was early but whatever. I got up and was ready for the movers to arrive. First 20 minutes went by, then 30. I called them and they stated "oh, we have a bunch of guys out so it'll be a little while before we can get someone to you." I understand things are hard with the pandemic right now, but they could've at least called me to let me know, instead of leaving me wondering. The man on the phone could not give me an estimate of how long it would take. I was seriously concerned it was going to not happen that day, because I had to take off work for this move and as I am a lawyer, I am quite busy with work. Then, they finally got there two hours late. I believe in science, so I wear a mask, and I ask anyone else I interact with to also wear a mask. It's also important to note that there is a mask ordinance required in the city of Springfield until October 14, 2020. Two movers showed up at my apartment, a younger man and an older man. The younger man already had his mask on and was ready to go. The older man walks in with a mask in his hand walking around my apartment, talking and gesturing at things. I asked him politely if he could put his mask on. He became angry and said that the city does not require him to wear a mask for his particular job. I stated that since he's going to be in my apartment, I would request that you wear a mask. Then he said that I was "treating [him] like a pack mule." I started to become a little annoyed and said, "well sir, I did hire you to move my things." And then he said, "you're treating me like a pack mule because you're making me wear a mask while I'm doing manual labor." And I replied, "Sir, I would prefer to not get a fatal disease for which there is yet to be a cure." Finally, he put a mask on and the movers got to work. However, every single time the older man came upstairs to get another load of my things, He complained about all the stuff I had, and said some thing about not being able to guarantee the safety of my smaller items. This was annoying because I told the woman on the phone want to schedule my move exactly how much stuff I had, and the amount I actually asked him to move ended up being a little bit less than what I told the woman on the phone. So finally once they packed up my apartment, and I was feeling extremely awkward and stressed about the whole thing, we got to my new apartment. And once we were there, the older man wore his mask the whole time, but then the younger man just kept taking his off for the last hour. So then I was sick of confrontation at this point, so I sat in a different room than the movers, and opened a door for ventilation. In addition, the older man complained about how far both my old and new apartments were from the elevator in their respective buildings. Sorry I can't control that?? Finally, after them being two hours late, being disrespectful of my health, and complaining about all of the stuff that I had (that they knew I would have), they charged me $45 higher than the high end of my estimate. I honestly didn't even fight with them on it because I was so sick of dealing with them I paid them so they would go away. If you are looking for a moving company that is respectful of your time, your items, and your health and safety, this would not be the right company for you. read more

They are the worse movers I have ever dealt with. Quoted me a price and then packed my stuff and said it was double. Their customer service was flat out rude when trying to address the issue. Use a different company!!!! Update: They told me the delivery would be 1-10 days from pickup. 4 days after pickup they send paperwork and say to make a payment of half. And then it's actually 1-18 days from now. They also then said the 2nd half of the payment has to be done in cash. Honestly the shadiest or worst company I have ever dealt with. read more

Horribly disappointed! My sister and I are both disabled. When I scheduled my move with them, almost a week beforehand, I made it clear that we had to be out by this evening and would need about 5 hours. I scheduled for 8am so that we would be the first job. 8am passed and I began to question what time I had scheduled for. 10am passes and I begin to worry so I called. No ring, straight to voicemail. I called a few times before leaving a message stating that we were wondering if where they were and we were waiting for them. Come 11am...I called and asked to hear from them before noon so that if I had the time wrong we could proceed or if they weren't coming I could try to find a solution. It is now 430pm. I have yet to hear from them! I called right before starting this...it rang 3 times and I was sent to voicemail. I called back twice hoping Mike would answer. No. Direct to voicemail without one ring. I now have a truck in the driveway trying to FIND someone willing and able to move our furniture....before midnight. Just want to say thank you to you for reading this. Thank you to Mike for proving to me that basic human respect IS actually a thing of the past. I have used this moving company 3 times now. They do a great job of packing and moving belongings safely and without damage. The employees and owners are polite and helpful. Most importantly they practice social distancing and mask wearing especially important when moving people in vulnerable populations. read more

I wanted to write something for My Movers. My father lived in Highlandville MO. With age and dementia setting in we had to relocate him to my sister's house in Lenader Tx. Living in the Bay Area, I had no clue as to how to move him or what it would entail. I made arrangements with sevveral local moving companies to meet me at my father's home for estimates and consulting before I left SF. I was impressed with Trish Pearson, owner/operator of My Movers. She was thorough, had a sense of my high anxiety and stress and was empathetic and more than helpful. My Movers wasn't the lowest bid nor the highest but competitive. What sold me was Trish's understanding, her sensitivity and urgency of our family's situation. My Movers was at the house when they said they would be, wrapped, boxed and loaded the house with ease and professionalism and at the Texas site they assisted us in locating to unload and stored with ease. I would highly recommend My Movers for your local or long haul moving. One last thing. I received a call from Trish after the move had been completed. Because we elected not to move a few pieces, she called and informed me she was sending me a refund for the items not moved. That's called integrity. read more

First off, the staff is extremely friendly. I am very disappointed to have to give a bad review because they are so friendly. That being said, they are extremely slow. Several smoke breaks were taken, multiple times stopping to chat with each other, gross exaggeration on how many boxes there were when reporting back to their office. What took 2 men and a truck 4 hours, took these guys over 8. I cannot in good faith recommend these people to anyone unless you are not worried about cost at all. Nothing was broken so that is a solid plus, but the slow moving was too much. The cost was about 300 more than it should have been. read more

First off thank you Trish Pearson with My Movers. Trish was polite and went above and beyond to make sure my move was successful. First off she gave me a quote and explained all the fees. Then recommended a company that was closer to me that could get the job done at a lower rate, When that fell thru she found a worker to get the job done last minute.(I called @4:30 and they close at 5).
