The hygienist is very thorough, yet careful not to hurt you. They have nice new, high tech equipment and the office is pristine and newly renovated. My husband had a cleaning and tooth extraction from Dr. Browne. During the extraction Dr slipped with instrument and injured my husband's lip and under lip area. When we went home I was so upset looking at this we called the doctor to insist he doesn't charge us for the visit. Instead of taking the high road, his office manager Tina, insisted he still pay for the cleaning. You'd think that after causing this much injury, he'd agree and tell his office manager to apologize and call to see if he was indeed ok, but no. They sent us a form to sign still charging us for the cleaning but releasing him from any liability for the injury. At that point, it was apparent that we were dealing with a non caring doctor and a less caring office manager. We then stopped payment with our credit card company disputing the charge. They couldn't resolve the issue so they cleared the charge and paid the doctor. I called Tina today and asked if the doctor would consider going back to the original agreement of only charging us for the cleaning and spitefully she said no, the doctor changed his mind now. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND this cold hearted callous dentist. Not even an apology or follow up call. A disgrace to his profession. Stay away!! Don't let $89.00 come on for X-rays and cleaning sway. This office staff is top notch! I went in there in extreme pain. My regular dentist was booked up so I found this one on google and gave them a call in the middle of the night. I had some work to be done that was scheduled for about ten days away. The office manager called me back before office hours and told me she would fit me in between her regular patients since I was in pain. The team was so kind and helpful and went above and beyond! Dr Browne is very nice and caring and I could tell that he was well educated in dentistry. I didn't even feel the numbing needle going in. He stayed calm the entire time and took his time with me. I had some anxiety and started to freak out a little and the Dr, Jessica- the assistant, and Tina- the office manager calmed me down and she even got me a blanket and pillow. I started shaking towards the end and Dr Browne ordered me a smoothie because he felt my blood sugar must've been low. They didn't rush me out of there they let me sit and calm down after the surgery. I can't say enough good things. The team there is the best Ive ever encountered. Highly highly recommend! read more

Nice office, nice staff, tried to rip me off. I went for a cleaning and was told that I had 18 cavities that needed to be dealt with to the tune of $4,00 0 or $5,000. They worked up a payment plan for all of that money, but I moved to Tampa and luckily found a dentist who wasn't trying to cover the costs of her office by telling me my teeth were falling apart. In the end, I needed 1 filling and it cost me $50. Plus, these guys will call and text every few weeks, even after you've asked them to stop. Avoid. read more

Excellent office - everyone in the office is extremely professional and the dentist that performed my procedure was very skilled and competent. Everything was explained to me in the detail that I wanted and I had no questions after their consultation. Used to be great, but this past year things changed. My son went in for a routine cleaning, they told him he needed eight filings for over $2000. He left without getting them. Ten days later, he received a private label Wells Fargo credit card with a line of credit for $3500 for use in their office...WITHOUT HIS PERMISSION they applied for a credit card in his name for dental care!!They also hired a third party appointment setter service last year, we get calls constantly, at least once a week, for months, no matter how many times we ask to be removed from their list. It has become harassment. We switched to another dentist. The calls have not stopped. read more

Do not, under any circumstances, engage the services of Joseph Thayil or his staff. My 88-year old mother booked an appointment for a dental cleaning after seeing an ad in the local community newspaper. They booked the appointment for the next day (which was a Saturday) and Mr. Thayil (I really can't call him Dr. given his unprofessional conduct) convinced my mother that she needed $7,500 of dental work and had her sign a document for a Wells Fargo Health Advantage credit card to cover the costs. She has not returned to his office since and, despite my emails and telephone calls, they continue to harass her to return. To boot, she has now received a credit card statement from Wells Fargo saying that she owes $7,500! We are now in the process of taking further action. Stay away! read more

I am fairly new to the area, and I thought I would give Dr. Thayil a visit and try him out as my new dentist. I was definitely very pleased with the service at his office. His staff gave off a friendly vibe the moment you walked in the door, and Dr. Thayil was pretty consistent with the same friendliness once I met him. The one thing I remember from my visit was that he took a good amount of time talking to me about my teeth, and seemed to sincerely care about helping me. He is very social and makes you feel comfortable as well. He expressed to me that his desire as a dentist is to create an atmosphere where everyone (staff and patients) feels like they are given personal attention, and he wants the office to feel like a "mom and pop" or "family" business.
