I would not go back to this office. The office uses sales tactics to up charge for services. They say their charges are part of their treatment plan such as expensive toothbrushes, and mouthwash. The hygienist is rude to people that have neck and back problems. I could not lay back flat . She told me the exam was hard for to do ! I am sure I am noyt the first or last person to be in a dental chair that has neck and back limitations. I made hand gestures for her to stop putting a gel in my mouth . She screamed at me and told me not to do that ! She let me know she is not a fly ! Well thank you for the obvious information ! I was having a post put in for an implant. The Dentist gave me an anaesthesia shot, putting me to sleep for three hours while he put 3 implants in without discussing that option. It has caused me major neurological problems, where I've been undergoing multiple neurological tests to try to see how much damage was done. I was referred to their dental surgeon, Dr. Forest, whom I didn't know. It is a very depressing situation. AVOID. read more

They do a lot of up-selling like a number of corporate dental organizations in South Florida. Prices can go through the roof, so one really has to be careful with them on agreeing to their services. New to Pompano 6 months ago had first appointment. They recommended a "deep clean" for $600.00 supplement vs the free clean insurance covered. Declined and they completed regular 6 month cleaning covered by insurance. Upon trying to book next 6 month I was refused regular cleaning until I had the deep clean. I am lucky I have great teeth. Beware park plaza dental are scammers. I went in for a cleaning. Like any other person, I drink coffee, seltzer and red wine. My teeth are in need of regular cleaning but for the last year I've been neglectful. I asked the receptionist if I was getting the cleaning today she said yes! I told her if it's just X-rays and consultation I would prefer not do this. She assured me I would be getting a cleaning! Then the X-ray girl told me I wasn't on the schedule to get a cleaning. Again I mentioned it's only X-rays and a consult AND NO CLEANING I DO NOT WANT THIS! She comes back assuring me I would get a cleaning. Well one guess as to what happened??! After an extensive consultation I was given an assessment. If I wanted to get a cleaning I first had to go through this extensive $2000 cleaning. I paid the $59 for X-rays and consult. I had a 930 appointment and for there at 0915 because you need to fill out paperwork as a first timer. I had some intermittent very mild pain in one tooth and was due for a cleaning. I decided to get it done in Florida. About 40 minutes later a was given some kind of X-ray to screen my jaw. Don't know why. They then said I needed a full set of of Xrays. I repeated that I didn't need that I had a full check up three months prior. I'm was there for occasional pain in one tooth and a cleaning. While I sat in the chair unattended for 20 minutes I listened to the doctor in the next room tried to convince the patent he needed caps. He finally came into my room, looked at the X-rays and spent about 20 minutes to get crowns and a deep cleaning. Something my own long-term and trusted dentist back home never mentioned. Hmmm. I felt like I was talking to a modern-day snake oil salesman. Clearly trying to upsell me. He didn't look in my mouth but did bang a few teeth. I asked him why I was occasionally feeling pain. He said " I don't know" He went on ad infinitum to sell me crowns. Finally I said: "look I'm just here for a cleaning." He asked the tech if anyone was available and he said they were both busy. I walked out an hour and forty minutes after I arrived with no cleaning and no diagnoses on my tooth pain. They tried to set up another appointment but fool me once, shame on you----(you know the rest. I guess they have a big payroll because they have a big staff. read more

Terrible place. These sold me a Temp bridge for 2000$ and took 3 diagnostics to get it right. They only care about money not the customer!

My wife and I were searching for a new dentist after our dentist retired and sold his practice. We we pass Park Place Dental whenever driving North on Federal Highway so thought we would give them a try. Stopped in and made two appointments, one for my wife and one for myself. Was told about a new patient special for $79.00 that included X rays, cleaning, teeth whitening and hygiene kit. We were emailed forms to complete prior to our appointments which we emphasized our interest was getting our semi annual teeth cleaning. Day of my appointment I arrived at their office and was told they no longer honored the special, it was only for month of January. I told the receptionist that my wife was on there website the day before my appointment and the special was till being advertised. She said they would honor it but would charge me $49.00 for X rays and exam today but I would have to come back another time for the cleaning and pay the additional $30. Needless to say I was very disappointed that I wasn't getting the cleaning I made the appointment for. After some discussion about their poor business practice I walked out without any services being provided. It was obvious to me that their interest was more in doing X rays and exams hoping to sell expensive procedures like crowns and implants than doing a routine cleaning. I also found it interesting that two days later the Pompano Magazine for March came out and sure enough there was the full page add for Park Place Dental with a yellow banner at bottom advertising the $79 special. Like most people, I do not like going to the dentist but Park Plaza has really helped me feel differently! First, their hygenist, Val, is sweet and most importantly, super gentle...especially since I am a nervous wreck every time I go there. Val has been instrumental in helping me NOT avoid the dentist and keeping my teeth clean! I don't miss a cleaning now! But, when I was told that I needed a root canal, I panicked. Luckily, I met Dr. Avi. They set up a consultation with me and Dr. Avi explained everything, was super confident and told me he would take care of me. When my root canal appt finally came around, I was nervous but Dr. Avi and his assistant, Ken, were so sweet and funny and helped put me at ease. During the procedure, I had ZERO pain (and actually, quite a few laughs!) and now, 2 days later, I can't even believe I had it done because I have felt no discomfort (at all!) and I'm here to tell you that a root canal isn't scary with the Dr. Avi, Ken and Val team! read more
