If you like middle eastern food you must try the food here. With Arabic food, sharing is the way to go. We ordered a few appetizers; hummus, fattoush, Greek salad, baba ghanoush (not pictured), tabouleh (not pictured). The reason I love going here is because of the appetizers, they remind me of how my mom and aunts make appetizers; in the traditional Iraqi way. For our main meal we ordered a giant mixed platter with a bit of every meat (lamb chops, chicken souvlaki, beef schnitzel, chicken schnitzel, beef kebab tenderloin, Iraqi beef kebab). This is the real deal -- long marinated, top ingredients, served with juices and sauces that are infused with all the flavor, pride, and love of homemade goodness made by Nadia and her family. The tzatziki is the best I have ever had. The falafels were light, flavorful balls of heaven. The potatoes are saturated with flavor through to their core and served in a delicious broth. And a usually non-descript element of the meal, rice, is so light and has a wonderful flavor and texture. Super long grain and plump, which makes me wonder why every Greek and Indian restaurant isn't using this same variety? The salad was beautifully fresh and crisp, loaded with plentiful toppings, including homemade beet and parsnip pickles. True, the decor is nothing special.
