I called the phone number / I was told that TODAY they were opening at 11:30 instead. So they obviously lost my business. How can customers trust a business that doesn't even follow its own hours. I saw a review about someone emailing and never getting a response and it boils my blood because this place is seriously incredible. I came on Dec 23rd with a box of 12 fleeces and he didn't even flinch at the fact that I needed them next day. The prices are reasonable and the service is phenomenal. People like that reviewer are the ones that email once and then leave a bad review. I would recommend calling or going in -- you won't be disappointed. I got there at opening time on Christmas Eve and there were several people picking up so I know they were busy and yet, it all got done and the quality of the work was excellent. Highly, highly recommend and I am so grateful to have a place like this to get my company's attire done.

I showed her a picture and she just replied, "no." With a shake of her head, told me they only rent costumes, pointed me toward the front when I was persistent to still look around and told me they were closing in ten minutes. That was ten minutes earlier than posted. Just ridiculous. Don't know who pissed in her coffee today but she should have taken the day off to deal with it. I will stick to shopping at Talk Of the Town in Reading where the staff is helpful and happy about you being there!

My issue was that one couple was very late (20-25 minutes) and the chef waited on them to arrive before he started. Also the fancy story he told about the origins of Detroit style pizza didnt sit right with me. When I got home I did some homework and found that his story was out on the edge of being correct but 95% of the story had no basis in fact. The reason I didn't too foo the whole facility is that there are other chefs there and other learning opps that could be great.

On the positive side, they have a great framing department, and everything you can think of when it comes to crafting and DIY hobbying. They also have a lot of fun and different baking items and molds to work with for holidays or parties. On the downside though, understaffed. Almost always. Even at their busiest times, which is usually the Christmas holiday season, always understaffed. At times, I've waited in line for up to 25 to 30 minutes to check out. You have a store full of people, you have six to eight registers, and you have two registers open with a line of 20 people deep. Would I go back? Yes, I would. And I will go back. Michael's is its own thing. I'm not saying there aren't other craft or hobby stores like it, but Michael's has what I need. Unfortunately though, I dread having to go there. At least during times when I know it's going to be busy. Here's a tip: If you're going to go to Michaels, make it during a weekday or non-peak time like a weekend or during the holiday season.
