Look, the staff here are super friendly and the product is definitely premium (I believe our nail polish was organic), but ultimately it was very expensive and lacked some of my favorite parts of going to a nail salon. The chairs were just regular swivel chairs for a pedicure instead of the usual massage chairs, the buckets they gave us for our feet made the water go cold really quickly, the stool used to perch our feet kept sliding as it was made of cheap plastics, and despite the lotions and scrubs being high end, they were also just a quick part of the experience and not really worth paying for. Again the staff were extremely kind, it's just the services offered leave some to be desired while still paying the premium cost. I don't think I would come back here again. Our pedicures turned out great, but I wouldn't say any better than my old nail salon. read more

Made an appointment on Tuesday for 2 pedicures Friday at 445 and I strictly told the women on the phone that I wanted both appointments at the same time and sitting with my bf as we were doing this as a couples date night. The women said no problem and we had an appointment for Friday. We come into the salon and they can barely find my reservation. I had to tell the receptionist it was for both of us and she had to look again at the computer and finally said 1 appointment is at 445 and 1 at 5. I then told her thats no problem and reinstated that we wanted to sit together and she confirmed. They called me for a pedi at 5 and i walked towards the back confused bc all pedi chairs were full. They sit me at a manicure table. The tech wanted me to put my foot underneath the table so she could do my pedi!!! You cant make this up!! I tell the tech my bf has a pedi too and they said he would be sitting next to me at ANOTHER manicure table. I attempt to put my foot under the table and it was so uncomfortable my foot was literally touching the roof of the mani table. I tell the tech i do not want to sit here i want to sit at the real pedicure chairs. The receptionist comes over to translate and i tell her we booked together and we want our services together. She says the two women in the middle will be done soon and we could sit there. Then 3 other techs jump in the conversation and say we cant sit together, and just bc you make an appointment together does not mean you can sit together. Then another tech says you cant sit together and we would be on opposite ends of the pedi area. I have to for the 3rd time tell them i made the reservation saying we wanted to sot together. Isnt this common sense when you book 2 appointments that you want to be together!! Little did they know my bf speaks Spanish and overheard the techs say they had 2 appointments for pedis coming in soon and they were saving 2 real pedicure chairs for them!! Im sorry but how can you expect to throw the young people at the make shift pedi area (hard plastic chair with your foot under a table) and give the two other pedi chairs to clients coming in AFTER US. You cannot expect to pay for a gel pedi under a mani table vs a real pedicure chair. The salon discriminated against us because they would never ask a 40+ year old women to sit at a makeshift mani area, but they tried it on me bc im in my 20s. Good Try. Waited to visit a few times before reviewing to make sure it was solid. I was in desperate need of a new local nail salon and stumbled upon this place on yelp, and I am SOOO happy I did. Jennisey is a goddess. She takes her time and is super detail oriented. I like my nails rounded, which is always an issue with most manicurists - I typically have to ask for them to correct my nails or I give up and deal with the weird shapes - but that is NOT the case here. She is amazing, I can go in with my eyes closed and trust my mani will be perfect. She is also sooo sweet which of course helps! The location itself is small but super cute, bright, and clean. There's a ton of nail polish color selections. Everyone seems very nice. You have to book your appointment ahead of schedule, as everyone is typically busy. You can tip with cash or Venmo (which I love). It is not the cheapest place in the area ($60 for gel mani regular pedi) but I'll pay for quality. It's a little off of the mile so street parking is more likely to be available (but expensive), I paid extra for a salt scrub which was great. Cons: Asides from the salt scrub the mani/pedi was not very relaxing. The chairs were pretty hard and uncomfortable, no massagers. My manicure lasted less than a week. I arrived at the salon during a Week day. After my manicurist finished her service with my manicure and pedicure, I noticed my manicure was not cleaned properly and there was a lot of bubbles, in addition she had cut me badly, the polish was not applied smoothly nor was it cleaned properly. When I brought this to her attention, she said it's because "my nails are to short" when she replied with that, I was at a loss of words, I truly didn't know how to reply. ( I attached a photo from the same day I had my manicure done. I wish I would have taken more photos so you can see see how terrible they came to be) About 15 mins later I arrived home and my nails (manicure and pedicure) were not pretty to look at nor worth the service I paid for nor the $10 tip. I then called the salon that same moment I had that realization (within those 15 mins) and explained to the secretary if I could come again and have them redone. The secretary said "yes come in Sat at 10am" So then I did. When I arrived my manicurist re did my manicure but she was clearly very bothered. The owner/manager then calls me on my cellphone after I leave the nail salon to tell me the manicurist started crying after I left because "I wasn't content with her work and everything she does is not good enough" she continued to talk on behalf of the manicurist making her sounds helpless. The manager/owner was also saying, how picky I was as a client without even seeing my nails. My nails clearly were not cleaned properly, I had a bad cut, the polish wasn't distributed evenly, didn't have the shine a new polish should have, and my nails had some type of dried out lines ?, just ugly work. The owner continued to make me feel bad about me coming back for the manicurist to redo my hands luckily for her I didn't ask for my pedicure to get redone. The way this was handled on behalf of the owner was unprofessional and very uncomfortable for me as a client. Fortunately for me, Merick Park and the surrounding cities have amazing nail salons. This place is so cute! Looking for a convenient spot nearby and thanks to Yelp I found My Time Nail Bar. I called and was able to get an appointment on the same day- granted it was a Monday- but that was great news for me in a pinch. This salon is very modern and clean- multiple pedi chairs and mani stations with a wide variety of colors. I went with Essie but they have Zoya, OPI, and others too. They start with the manicure first which is my favorite- that way no chips when you go to grab your keys and go. The nail tech was super thorough and went all the way to the cuticle which is also much appreciated and sometimes hard to find at salons. I chose Fiji which can be a complicated color since it's a milky pink, but she did an amazing job. Moving on to the pedi- the chairs are really comfy and glamorous looking. One thing to note- but it's not a spa chair or water bucket so don't expect massages here. Kind of would expect that for the price, but I'd rather a good job than the extra perk so it was a-ok. My mani pedi came out great and for $40 I think that's reasonable for a salon on the mile. On Tuesday's mani pedis are $35 so I would definitely come back to take advantage of that deal. read more

They bait and switched me twice when they promised me one person would do my nails and then put me with someone else. One of the times was not great but fine. Moved from NYC and have been looking for a similar in and out, simple nail place with reasonable prices. Couldn't have asked for a better $50 mani and pedi combo. The lady next to me was getting nail art done for an extra $15 or so per nail. The only downside is that the pedi chairs are not massage chairs (they are regular curved bubble-like chairs) and the salon has yet to invest in self-draining tubs -- instead, the techs have to carry a bowl of water from the back. After searching for a salon for years I have finally found one that offers convenience, skilled nail techs and fast service. I always go in for a gel pedicure with Yanelis and could not be happier with her work, she is fast but meticulous and always delivers perfect results. My only complaint is that the seats are awkwardly shaped so it's hard to find a comfortable position, other than that I would highly recommend this salon if you live in the area, they also carry the latest nail polish collections which is a huge plus. read more

The standard prices of mani/pedis has increased over the past couple of years, so I think their prices are standard. When I asked about the charge, I was made by the owner to feel like I had committed the worst nail crime imaginable. When I outlined the facts, both the girl at the front desk and my technician lied to the owner to cover their error. What else does the staff lie to the owner about? Forget the customer is always right, here the paying customer is guilty, and even when shown proof of innocence, ignored and disregarded. Terrible place for a couples pedicure. My girlfriend booked us days in advance for a 4:45 appointment and we left with nothing done. Lady on the phone said they could accommodate two people together but in person it became a shit show. They overbooked or were running late so they tried to finesse her into a pedi at a manicure table. Wtf just picture how uncomfortable that is. Then they wanted to put me at the manicure table next to her for my pedicure. Meanwhile, they had two actual pedicure chairs right next to each other finishing their clients soon that we would have happily waited for instead. Ok so what's the problem how'd we get here you ask? Because half the technicians butted into the conversion and had something different to say. They knew my girlfriend didn't speak Spanish but I do. They were saving those chairs for people coming after us. "We can't accommodate sitting you together bc of COVID" was their excuse. Ok so then don't lie to my girlfriend on the phone and say you can. Or in person when the receptionist confirmed we will be together. Shame because she was really excited and thought the place was cute but they lost out on my $100 because their communication and customer service is trash. I'm the girl who gets a manicure and within 24 hours has managed to get a chip, which only increases as the hours progress. My good friend gets her gel nails done here and highly recommended them. Since I was jetting off to Europe for 2 weeks, I figured it was a good time to put them to the test. I made my appointment with the same girl she uses, Saily, and I am a geliever! My gel lasted a whole 3 weeks- despite the fact you could see the growth- intact! Saily was super sweet and took her time- this is not a factory process here where they want you in and out as fast as possible. She was super meticulous cutting all my cuticles with such tenderness I didn't feel a thing, as well as painting each nail to perfection! I could have left without her cleaning them they were that well done. They have a plethora of amazing colors to choose from- so many I had a hard time choosing! The place is super chic and clean. They run a special for $55 Monday-Wednesday for a gel mani and a regular pedi. Even her pedi lasted well over a month! It's definitely a great return on investment!
