I had reached out in September 2025 for a quince we were going to do for June 2026 We gave deposit and started doing payments through out the months . Payments we made towards our balance was $400-500 dollars each time. On April 2026 I had reached out to them because we had an unexpected family emergency and had to cancel everything .. I asked for them to keep the deposit because that is understandable that deposit is not refunded but the remaining should've been refunded back as I did give enough time notice on my part also.. they are not honest and have refused to contact me it's always their ai not responding to me that someone will get back to me and reach out and nothing I've contacted them through email Facebook messenger and nothing until this day 8/13/2026 still have not been reached out to so we can handle this matter they just completely ghosted me and pocketed the money. read more

I hired My Unique Wedding & Events for my daughter's Quinceañera and I am very pleased and happy with my decision to hire them. Jessica was our photographer and the main point of contact. She has been very professional, friendly and accommodating. I was so stressed with all of the planning but she made sure to touch base and check in a we got closer to the event. Day of the event again she was friendly and patient. She made sure to capture all of the photos on the list we provided. We had the Google photo album just a few days after the event and I was very pleased. She mentioned the edited photos will take anywhere from 8-16 weeks, we can't wait to get those back! Norris was our Videographer and he was also a pleasure to work with. He was friendly, patient and accommodating. Our event was just a week ago and I already have our video highlight and couldn't be happier with the results. Based on my experience with Jessica, I would avoid this business. I canceled the booking after she tried to get the full payment prior to the event date. That had not been agreed on and at the time was not in their terms of agreement. She agreed to refund half of my deposit, but in the end ghosted me and never returned the money. It's so hard to put into words how amazing these services were I was running a bit late getting to my hotel room, but they were already there patiently waiting. They didn't make me feel rushed and I truly felt like everything was on my time while they still go everything they needed to get done. They just jumped right in very graciously and go to work. I appreciated the attentiveness and attention to detail they projected. I had photography and videography services and I honestly would do if all over again with both of them The end result of my photos and videos are beyond anything I could ever imagine. Hello Jessica, Thank you for your response but I would like to further explain my experience with your business. After posting my initial review I was contacted by someone from your team in regards to removing my negative review in exchange for partial reimbursement of the session (Email photo attached below). I decided not to respond and leave my review posted because I felt like it was an honest representation of my experience. As far as the pictures that were received I do blame myself for not researching your photo style more. My mother had gifted me the photographer as a wedding gift and it was one less thing I had to check off of my long list of "wedding to-do's". Had I known I would have to come up with my own poses and suggest photo location ideas I would have come better prepared. I had assumed as a wedding photographer who had shot at my venue in the past you would have had more ideas. In the gallery you shared of MY wedding day in your response on yelp, you only included the 50 pictures that were not the traditional portraits. In the gallery I was emailed with around 300 photos all but those 50ish photos were "natural portrait" which I specifically did not want. Again, had I have known to come up with a list of photo ideas before hand I would have. Lastly, in response to the attitude of the photographer I do believe I was honest. I felt like I was given a cold shoulder from the start of my session to the end of it. It is usually courteous to congratulate the bride and groom when you are introducing yourself but you didn't even introduce yourself. I had to come up to you and introduce myself to you for you to give me a short "hi" in response. As a bride the wedding day is stressful enough and I wasn't going to let your negativity affect MY mood. I don't believe I gave you any attitude in return and tried to keep the day moving. As for the picture of you, that came straight from a screen shot of the video I was sent by your videographer. So now not only do I have mediocre photos, I also have that image of you in my wedding videos that you could have edited out. Less than two weeks before our reception we had to postpone due to COVID-19. Jessica was more than understanding and allowed us to reschedule for a later date without any issue. Once our event finally happened Jessica was very professional. I came into the day with a few photo ideas that I knew I wanted. She was open to my ideas and brought ideas of her own. My issue with My Unique Wedding & Event was them not honoring the conditions of the contract which I signed. The contract required a $300 deposit and then full payment prior to the event. I ended up canceling their services (photo/video) knowing that I would forfeit the $300 deposit, but by the terms of their agreement I would be refunded the amount I paid them ($1,416.22). This is where the problems began with Jessica. Btw most of our communication was done through text messages. We talked on the phone maybe twice and she seemed very unenthusiastic and impersonal. When I told her that I needed to cancel she said it was fine. I asked her when I would receive my refund and she said "We refund 30 days after event date."(btw, this simple response took her about one month!) Anyway long story short I kept calling her and texting her about my refund and she just kept blowing my off!! The final text between us she said that she had not answered my calls / texts bc she had a family emergency (which I do not believe is true based on two other yelp reviews I've read). In conclusion I'd like to say that I would not use or recommend this vendor to anyone! read more

Wow Wow WOW!!! We are beyond blown away. We knew we picked a photography/ videography team that was very affordable compared to others out there. In planning our wedding through covid we were unsure if we were "cutting a cost" that we were later going to regret. NOT A CHANCE!!! Jan and Chuck were not just amazing, they were PHENOMENAL!!! From arriving 30 minutes prior to our schedule ready to go, having our overly precise shot list in hand, and making sure we got everything we wanted we could not be any happier. Chuck was an awesome help as a videographer he also acted as a photography assistant making sure our poses weren't awkward and my dress and veil were flowing. HIRE THEM BOTH. its a must. I literally did not think WE could have such professional beautiful wedding photos. People literally pay triple for what we received. Might I add, we got our photos (600+) in 2 days, not 2 business days but 2 calendar DAYS!!! Jan and Chuck were attentive and kept things moving but also followed the pace when our timeline fell behind. One Big Wow Moment was when our coordinator dropped the ball and we were wasting precious photography /video time, Jan politely approached us and let us know that we may not be able to capture our speeches and toasts at the rate we were moving. In the moment we requested to add another hour which they graciously said of course. If it weren't for this conversation we may have missed integral pieces we wanted captured. Our Wedding got moving and we got all first dances, toasts, garter/ bouquet toss, cake cutting, literally all the monumental moments done in time. Jan approached me once more and said Crystal we did it, if you feel we got everything we can pack up now and you guys don't owe anything additional. (Wait what??? we have a photographer who not only made sure we caught our special moments but also was not trying to gauge us for extra money?) Then I found out later that night that Jan sent my sis in law a preview, jaw dropping photos!! wow!!! Our wedding was on Saturday evening, by Monday Night we had our full album and literally everyone is raving about our photo quality and beauty. We could not have asked for a better, more compassionate team to work with. Take our word on this, covid sent us through so many tosses and turns, My unique wedding & event helped us change our contract, happily agreed to a new venue site, and was reliable. Four days after our wedding we received our highlight reel which was also as amazing as our photos. Our families and us are in awe with our video as we all keep watching it and crying over the beautiful emotions captured. Photography at any event is important, not just weddings. When I first found MUE, they were affordable AND had great reviews. We hired them a year before our wedding date. At 8 months out, I noticed a series of bad reviews so I called to express my concern. Jessica ensured me that those were isolated situations where the clients were being unreasonable or did not cooperate with instructions. When I asked about the complaints about not receiving photos on time, she said their office was broken into with a couple of computers stolen so that set them back. I believed her and kept our booking. In terms of prep, we filled out that silly excel sheet on our preferences, but I don't think anyone ever looked at it again. Our contract also said there would be a pre-event consultation 2-3 weeks before the event but that never happened. The wedding went as expected with the videographer and Jessica taking photos. We also got a DJ through them, which was amazing, and a photobooth. The photobooth stopped working twice throughout the night and you don't get digital copies. It was after the event where things got hairy. Our contract said we'd receive the photos in about 2-3 weeks. When I emailed at 4 weeks, Jessica said we could expect them in 8-14 weeks and the original time stated in the contract was approximate. I understand things happen and would have been fine with 4-6 weeks. But 8-14 weeks is nowhere near 2-3. After a hard push, we received the preview video through an online link a few days later. It started off with my husband's name spelled wrong. Jessica said she got the spelling from a sheet my wedding coordinator used, but his name is Michael. It was spelled correctly on every piece of paperwork she asked us to fill out and was obviously spelled Micheal as a typo once, on a resource that was not provided by us directly. A 1/2 second pause or quick reference to any other piece of paperwork should have prevented the mistake from making it to us. It was a quick fix so we moved on. A week after that we received a link with all of the photos. They were fine, but definitely not the quality that is displayed on their website. We did not want all the corny poses and staged cuteness and specifically chose MUE because their portfolio wasn't like that. Our photos, however, are mostly the standard checklist of poses and you could sub us out for any couple. Maybe it's not fair to expect a hired photographer to capture your personality in their photos, but we felt a bit disappointed with the lack of connection. After a few weeks after that, we received the blue-ray disk with photos on them (warning, you need a blue-ray playing to view). It started with Michael's name wrong on the homepage and then ended by not actually working. We received new copies a few days later. Throughout each problem, Jessica was very difficult to communicate with. We had to send follow up emails asking if she received our first message and eventually started calling and leaving voicemails. At one point she straight up lied saying she never got our email but then mentioned a specific detail we only mentioned in that email she "never received." One of these mistakes is understandable, but when you compile them together, it resulted in a terrible overall experience. No one wants to feel frustrated, ignored, or disappointed when it comes to event photos and my experience with MUE was exactly that. They are affordable, but just know it does come at a cost of quality and professionalism. read more

My experience with this company was the worst! I found them while planning my wedding based on the website seemed like they did really good work so we decided to go with them. I had my dad who is a photographer also on the phone to ensure I asked all the correct questions and it all seemed fine. The only time I heard from them was close to the wedding when they wanted to be paid and when I submitted the spreadsheets for the photography, videography, dj service and day of coordinator. On the day of my wedding (Oct 13th, 2019)things seemed okay and it seemed like things were going smoothly but it was after that this started to become frustrating. One of my bridesmaids had told me that the photographer (Jessica) was not that great and had she not told her she would have missed key photos. Then a few weeks after my wedding I followed up and asked about when the finished product would be available and Jessica replied it takes 8 to 14 weeks to get out finished product which is our photos and highlight reel and the full wedding. She did however provide a Google photo link to the raw photo footage around 10/28. I followed up again o. 12/17 asking for a status update since they do not communicate to you and I was told my edits and stuff would done in January and then she had the nerve to ask what we expected for the video which I had to relay what was in our contact. On Jan 13th I reached out again and asked for an update at this point I have been married 3 months (12 weeks) and I asked for status and what types of edits they were doing because I just didn't see what we got taking the full 14 weeks needless to say I got a response loaded with excuses about the holiday season and emergencies, pregnancy, etc. and telling me my product would be ready at the end of Jan which would have been past the 14 week deadline. The end of Jan came and went and again if you are missing a deadline or have things come up you should be communicating to your customers. I reached out on 2/10 almost 4 months past my wedding day and weeks past the original and late deadlines. And complained about the lack of communication and the fact I still hadn't recieved anything. On 2/15 I get a link to my photo edits and needless to say for this to have taken so long I was not pleased it looked like very generic editing I seen better pictures taken and edited on an iPhone. Well even though I got the new link I was still missing my full video and highlight reel. So I reached back out again Jessica responds that she is reaching out to the editing team and will respond that was on 2/18. Once again I had to reach out on 2/27 because at this point I want what I paid for. You would have thought we didn't pay them they way they were acting. This is what I had to send another email detailing my contract and implying taking legal action. That same day I get a access to my video and highlight reel via Google again and needless to say that highlight reel was very basic again I have seen better done on an iPhone. I was still missing parts of what I paid for and I promptly responded advising on 2/27. I did not get a response until 3/7 which was Jessica asking for my address SERIOUSLY ALL THIS TIME AND YOU ARE ASKING FOR AN ADDRESS THAT WAS PROVIDED! I just got my DVD and instead of putting the pics on a thumb drive got a CD Rom like seriously I received everything 5 months after getting married and waaaay past the original farthest due date of Jan 19th. All in all this place is awful what they advertise is not what they give and they are very unprofessional and slow. I will never use them again. To think I almost referred a friend who is getting married to them and a friend who was throwing a graduation party and a few others...I am glad I didn't. Choosing My Unique Event to do photography for my wedding is the only cost saving measure I took that I really regret. Yes, they are affordable, but you get what you pay for. Looking at the photos posted by other clients, I am sure that they do have some talented photographers, but the person who shot my wedding, and the customer service I received from Jessica before and after the wedding were both very disappointing. To start with, they have a very impersonal and unprofessional system for getting your info leading up to the wedding. It was all through email, and like others mentioned, Jessica was extremely short and not very friendly through this process. I received a poorly formatted Excel spreadsheet with questions about the theme and style of our event, info about our wedding party, preferences for photography style, etc. I took a lot of time filling it out carefully, googling photography styles so I would know how to express what I wanted and still ended up so disappointed. The photographer was really nice, but didn't seem to get that we wanted more classic photos, not overly posed, theatrical, cheesy or funny shots. I doubt he even saw the form I filled out with our preferences. He kept pushing us into forced poses that were just awkward and not at all the style we wanted or requested. I kept trying to explain what we wanted but he just didn't get it. I'm happier with candid photos family members took with their phones than most of the photos our photographer took. Many of our reception photos are of small groups of people where half the people have their backs to the camera, or stealthily taken from a distance through bushes and trees... I don't remember asking for that. To get a nice, casual group shot, our guests had to wave him over and ask, so there are very few. I cried a little from disappointment while looking at them. Then, the process of getting our disappointing photos was terrible. Our contract stated that it would take approximately 4-6 weeks to get a CD with the photos. At 7 weeks I reached out to Jessica. There was no reply. Almost a week later I emailed again and she rudely reminded me that 4-6 weeks is "approximate" and that they were actually estimating 8 weeks from our wedding date. No problem, but why did I have to ask twice for that info? 9 weeks after my wedding I still had no photos and no one had contacted me with an explanation, so I emailed again. Jessica then says it will be one more week. I was finally emailed a link to view my photos more than 10 weeks after my wedding. I hate leaving reviews like this, but I just wanted to share my experience to help others considering this company for their wedding. We spent over $1000 for photography, which I know is cheap. But it isn't a bargain when half the photos you get are terrible and you don't even want to look at them. My husband and I just got married in January 2017. During the planning process we wanted to make things as easy as possible since we were planning a California wedding from Colorado. When I stumbled across My Unique Event I thought, perfect! The photos and video I saw on their website and elsewhere looked good, they had good reviews, the price for the Diamond package was great considering everything you get, they were able to work with us being out of state and we wouldn't have to worry about hiring a bunch of separate vendors. They answered all my questions (which there were a lot of) and I got a satisfactory response within a couple days. So we decided to pull the trigger and hire them about a year before the wedding. So here comes the start of the decline for me. During my question asking I inquired about possibly speaking with the people that would be working our event. I was told that after we hired them they would send me planning documents and that I could arrange to speak with those working our event once they knew who it would be. I thought this was understandable considering they have a lot of people that work for them. Fast forward to 2 months before the wedding, I got caught up in other things and didn't realize they hadn't sent me any planning documents. I emailed the main contact and she got back to me quickly with what they needed and let me know that I only had a month to work on it. This irked me because they failed to get this to me earlier and I could have had a year to work on this. I brushed it off and just hustled to get them what they needed. Another question I had asked was if we could pay our balance earlier. I was told you can make final payment the month of your wedding and was given a date for when they would send us the link to do so which was the at the start of the week of our wedding. Now fast forward to the week of the wedding. Never got the link to pay the day they said they would send it. I was assured I would get a phone call from the coordinator to finalize some things with her and that she would communicate my wishes with the rest of the people working our event. Instead I got not 1 but 2 emails asking for final payment. No contact from the coordinator as discussed. At that point there was too much going on to worry about it. In this part of the review I think it best to just review the services we got the day of. Photographer: she was really nice and got some good pictures. I don't think she scouted out our venue beforehand like I was told they would since she asked us where we should take pictures. She also didn't really let us know when she was taking pictures or give us advice on how to pose. In some of the pictures we got back my husband and I look angry/bewildered because we were waiting for her to tell us when she was ready. Videographer: he was decent. When we got our video back however it wasn't a fully streamlined video like we were expecting. It was an unedited video of our ceremony and a bunch of clips he managed to take throughout the reception. The only edited footage we got was a sneak peak of our "video". Photo Booth: our guests had a lot of fun with this but after a certain point someone had accidentally spilled a drink behind the curtain so the attendant limited my guests to 2 at a time. DJ: he was the highlight of our day as far as I'm concerned. He had our guests up and dancing and he listened to our song requests. Coordinator: so as stated before didn't get a call from her before the wedding. She called me the day of while I was getting ready. Thankfully my sister took the phone and handled it from there because it was starting to stress me out. I honestly don't think the coordinator communicated with anyone working our event. There were things that came up that the DJ didn't seem fully ready for or just flat out skipped over. During the cake cutting instead of getting the pretty cake cutting knife from the restaurant the coordinator gave us a butter knife. On top of that I later found out that she was rude to the bridal party. After the wedding I was told post production would take 8-10 weeks and then they would mail us our stuff. I had to email the main contact to get any sort of updates after that deadline had passed. Almost 6 months later we finally got the final product back. The pictures were ok, there's only a handful that we loved. A lot of the pictures were the same poses in different locations. The pictures didn't seem to be all that edited either. The "video" I plan to give to a friend to see if she can edit it into a complete video instead of just clips. Overall my husband and I are really disappointed with the final product and don't think the communication with My Unique Event is all that good despite being timely. If I was to do this all over again I would rather have gone with different vendors and spent more money. I think that says a lot. read more

Let me start off by saying that if we could hire this team again we would! They came out for my brother and sister-in-laws wedding and did such an outstanding job. Jan was extremely attentive and made us all feel so comfortable. While Chuck did such an amazing job at making sure every detail in the pictures were perfect and captured. 10/10 would recommend them and hire them all over again.
