When we entered the space, it felt like an open layout house. Fairly modern design. Useful space. Two restrooms for guests. There was a small connecting area with a fridge for storage. The next room over was perfect for a small play bouncer. No kitchen area. The catering company all had to set up outside in the already limited parking lot area. The pavement was in ruin. Kevin and his two lovely partners, Megan and Michelle, shot our wedding on 10-10-10 at the Malibu Adamson House. They are a fabulous team and would recommend them for any occasion! We've had many compliments from our guests, family, and friends about their work and are always inquiring about Kevin and his team... Not only are they great photographers, they are also fun people to be around, evidenced by our Sushi dinners... We first met Kevin at a Starbucks about 10 months before our wedding and minutes into our conversation, we knew we had our guy. He was easy-going, had a lot of good ideas, offered a good price, and after showing us his previous work, it was a done deal. After many emails going back and forth about sharing ideas on how we were going to do our engagement shoot and the wedding day, we finally saw Kevin again about 6 months later for our engagement shoot. This is when we first met Megan (Kevin's girlfriend) and Michelle (Megan's cousin) as Kevin's back up photographers. The locations that Kevin selected for the engagement were fabulous. We had talked about in depth on what we had envisioned and Kevin and his team made it happen with their creativity and style. Fast forward to 10-10-10...Kevin, Megan, and Michelle, took their talents to the Marina Del Rey Marriot, where they were introduced to the 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen. We had already talked about us having that many people in our bridal party, but even with their wealth of experience, they were still surprised of the size of the group. Either way, Kevin and the girls had no problems whatsoever and got along well with the bridal party. Not only was Kevin Le Vu Photography very accommodating to us, they worked so well with our Videographers (Alumiq) as well. They had so many unbelievable shots at the Hotel, at the Ceremony, the Cocktail Hour, the Bridal Party Entrance Dance, during the Slideshow / SDE, Money Dance, at Backdrop Photobooth, and so on... I've worked with Kevin both as a vendor and a client and he is by far one of the most professional, fun, flexible photographers I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I met Kevin and Megan when they were shooting a wedding at a wedding venue I previously worked at as a wedding coordinator. A lot of photographers ask what a venue can do for them, but Kevin was so helpful and customer focused... it was... refreshing! So much so that he was the first photographer I looked to for my own wedding. He works with a great team and they ALL slapped on a smile when my fiance and I were 45 mins late for our engagement shoot, lugged what looked like 100lbs of camera equipment up to a helipad....where it was windy as hell and laughed at all of our dumb jokes. We had so much fun and they are so great at what they do that my fiance and I at times didn't even notice that they were there taking pictures! His works immediately caught my attention. I was drawn to the lifestyle journalism type of photography. My husband and I were married earlier this year and we had the honor to have Kevin photographed on our speacial day. Kevin takes pride in his work, he makes sure he is not only on time but early. I wanted something that looked like the cover of a romance novel. A romantic vibe. During this journey, we were introduced to this Lin and Jirsa (referred by a venue I think? Not quite now). Fast forward - I had an amazing experience with Juliana for our engagement photo shoot. Honestly, I wasn't even going to do the engagement photo shoot but the more I looked at Lin and Jirsas photos the more obsessed I got. Once you commit, you fill out a questionnaire and they even ask for inspo photos, good AND bad which I thought was cool! I'm so so so happy that Juliana will be with me on my upcoming wedding day. She was really great at coaching poses, which I was super nervous about. She showed photos in real time. Might I add, it's absolutely fascinating what settings on a camera, and someone holding a lighting stick can produce. The photos she showed me in real time looked like the magic that was produced in our viewing album! She was receptive to feedback about how I felt about myself in pics. Me: "My arm looks skinnier but when my hand is on my hip but I don't want to look like I'm trying to be skinny and have the same pose so like um, I don't know what I want." Juliana "I got you! Let's try this!" No hesitation. She also was very purposeful with the photos she took. She wasn't aimlessly snapping her camera with hopes of a good one - she was intentional and thoughtful. Julianas personality was great - engaging, funny, thoughtful. Her lighting assistant Diana (I think that was her name, so sorry I don't quite remember!) was super easy going too and took the direction of whatever vision Juliana had. The support team that emails you is very nice and efficient. I feel bad that I've not gotten back to them nearly as quickly as they replied to me! The original beach we selected Victoria Beach, ended up having super high tide so when we got there, she immediately had Plan B, no time wasted. When we got to the beach, we really wanted a picture with this seal we saw on a rock (from a safe distance of course so as to not bug). It looks like CGI but she got the pic!! She was climbing over rocks and really putting in effort to get good shots! At the end of the shoot I spontaneously wanted to get in the water and she happily snapped some shots and they came out great! (Visible in my post here). If you have any thoughts or concern about the cost or if it's a good idea - ITS THE BEST IDEA, do it!!! Before I ever saw their site (well, stared at it for hours) I never knew this was something I would want, or feel comfortable with. If you're getting married and are unsure because hey, weddings are insanely expensive, remember that your pics with live forever. So just commit, enjoy the process, and look forward to being absolutely in love with the magic this company creates!

Encor previously shot engagement & wedding photo's for my brother-in-law's and the pictures came out absolutely wonderful, so we decided to also go with them for our engagement and wedding photography needs. They made the engagement shoot extremely easy, providing a list of recommended shooting locations and even scoped out the perfect area for us based on our request. On our wedding day we were worried as heavy rains were forecasted. The team did a great job of scouting out the area and giving us plan B's and plan C's in case we needed alt shooting locations. The photography was amazing and did a great job of helping us keep our energy up while keeping everything relaxed. The photographers were so creative with different lighting effects and camera angles despite not being familiar with the new wedding venue we chose. We feel they certainly got the best photos possible and were great with making accommodations for requests during the ceremony and reception. We received a few sneak peeks of our photos and are absolutely blown away so far! We couldn't be happier with choosing Encor and would encourage anyone that is looking for the best possible team and pictures to utilize them!

You can tell from the moment you meet them that they are genuinely passionate about giving couples the best experience possible, and that passion shows in every single shot. We first had them at our engagement shoot, and my husband and I are completely hopeless when it comes to posing LOL. But Janice and Edwin were so patient and wonderful at directing us while making us feel completely comfortable. When we saw the results, we were thrilled and we couldn't wait to have them there on our wedding day :) Leading up to the wedding, they had a call with us to go over the timeline and were so accommodating about our location shots and making sure everything I wanted captured was planned out. On the day of, they arrived early and worked closely with our coordinator to keep everything on track. My bridal makeup ran a little behind schedule, but they handled it so gracefully and were able to get all the getting-ready and bridal shots we needed while making sure we never once felt rushed or stressed. Throughout the day, they went above and beyond in ways I didn't even expect, like fixing hair and outfits that were slightly out of place, making sure photos were balanced, and capturing extra poses to make sure everything looked perfect. They made everyone in our wedding party feel so comfortable and at ease. During the reception, so many guests came up to the sweetheart table to take photos. Family portraits were already on the timeline, but so many additional families who weren't even on the photo list came up wanting to be captured, and Janice and Edwin were so gracious and kept going to make sure everyone was included. That kind of warmth and flexibility is truly rare. While their contract had a set window of time, they came early and stayed late because they genuinely wanted to make sure all of our big moments were captured. That kind of dedication means the world to us. What also made them extra special was that they speak both Cantonese and English, which made our guests feel so comfortable and included throughout the entire day. We loved working with Janice and Edwin so much and are so happy we invested in them to be part of our big day. They worked incredibly hard from start to finish and we are so grateful for everything they did. I found O&O through a facebook group and loved their photography style! After meeting with them,…read moreknew I wanted to move forward. We first did an engagement shoot with them at Greystone Mansion and they did an amazing job with those photos. The weather was nice and it wasn't too crowded as well, but they were able to frame shots and clear people so that it looked like we had the place to ourselves! We were also running a bit late to the appointment but they kindly waited for us and stayed after to make sure we had a full session (and went over as well). They got the shots back to us in a few days and they were all stunning! For our wedding, they also came to our final details meeting to walk through the space beforehand and scope out spots, as well as met with us virtually to discuss what we wanted and look at inspiration together. Janice did a great job of trying to recreate and capture looks from the inspiration! They came early to do flat lay shots, then we went out and did our first look and couple portraits. Then were family portraits and the ceremony. Throughout the night they also pulled us aside for various couple shoots, which some of those ended up being our favorite pictures. All of our guests were really impressed with their professionalism and ease to work with, they made everyone comfortable and also loved the photos and videos they took. After, they edited and delivered the photos very quickly (I believe in a week or two), and when we asked for additional images they were very accommodating and kindly sent those as well, even though it was not in their typical services. They also sent a hard drive with all the photos and videos to us with a cute polaroid in it of one of our favorite photos! Overall, it was a joy to work with them, and if we ever had a need for their services again we would definitely do so and recommend them to others!

My husband and I knew we wanted to book Carmen early on in our wedding planning process - in fact, she was the first vendor we booked. After we picked a venue, we worked with Carmen's schedule since we knew 1000% that we wanted to have her document our big day. From the beginning Carmen was super friendly and communicative with quick responses throughout the week (usually on weekends she is likely at a wedding). She was also very organized and had questionnaires to help us get to know each other better on a more personal level so we wouldn't feel like strangers on the big day. We went with one of her packages which included an engagement session (which was super fun and matched what we were envisioning - a "naturey" theme with mountains/hills in the background), a second shooter (who was super amazing!), an heirloom album (which we are currently working with her on), and more! The engagement session was extremely helpful for us because we were slightly nervous before the shoot, but the more time we spent with her, the more relaxed and at ease we felt (which is saying a lot because my husband and I are both introverts). We liked that Carmen could help us naturally pose and that her editing style was not too overly edited but allowed the natural beauty in each shot to shine. We also really appreciated Carmen's flexibility - my husband and I are both healthcare workers who have varying schedules and sometimes work weekends, but she was able to still plan our engagement session and our Zoom calls around our busy schedules. After the big day, when we look back on our wedding day, one thing that really stood out was how many of our guests were amazed with Carmen and her second shooter; the small details Carmen noticed made a lasting impression on a lot of our family members such as when Carmen and her second shooter would hold onto our guests' purses or sunglasses and make sure everyone looked essentially before taking photos. My mother-in-law couldn't stop raving about Carmen and how attentive she was to each guest. We also enjoyed all the photos of the wedding venue, each of our guests, and small moments and details that my husband and I might not have noticed since we were all over the place on the day of our wedding. From the moment we saw her photos from mutuals' weddings we knew we wanted her to shoot our wedding. In our first meeting, it felt like talking to a long-time friend and it was an easy decision for us to put all our trust in her and her team. She was the first person we hired after our wedding planner. We actually contacted her the month after we got engaged in 2021 but her 2023 book wasn't open yet. After conversing via text and email for months, we met her for the first time during our engagement shoot and she captured us and our dogs perfectly (YES, she capture our anxiety-ridden GSD mixes with smiles and they stood still, and the doggos absolutely fell in love with her husband, THANKS REX!!) We were looking for a photographer for a family photo session. I got some quotes from local family…read morephotographers and was about to go with one of them when I randomly remembered Greycard who did our wedding photos. I reached out to them and their pricing was very reasonable. They were cheaper than most of the other photographers and offered access to all of our digital photos. A lot of the other companies wanted to charge more money for a shorter session and were only going to give us access to about 20 edited photos. We got our edited photos the next day and are so pleased with how they came out. It's always a gamble when you have a baby and a toddler, but John got some really beautiful shots. Thank you!
