It made the top of our Barcelona list and we have been to some pretty awesome places. My tastebuds are still dancing. We had a 6:00 pm reservation and were the first there. We were happy that we were there early to enjoy the quiet because by 7:30 pm, the place was packed and noisier. The food couldn't be better and the presentation perfection. More Details: we were walking through the Licue looking for a place to have dinner and were only seeing quick cafeteria like places. Then a gentleman was holding out a menu and suggesting a restaurant around the corner. He said it had great food and excellent service. The offerings and the prices looked good so we took a chance. When we walked in, they seated us immediately and gave us each a glass of champagne. We ordered the ravolini and the chicken paella. Both were excellent. We had sangria and wine with the meal and truly enjoyed all the tastes and the atmosphere. I could only finish half of the paella and the waiter was so concerned that I didn't like it, but was visibly relieved when I said I wanted to take it to go. Even even better the second day. Our bill at the end of the meal came with two complementary dessert shots of butterscotch schnapps, coffee liqueur and whipped cream. A delicious surprise. Then as we paid, the bill, he brought us two additional complementary shots of peach schnapps with grenadine. I'm not sure how they are making a profit because this meal was less than we pay for average takeout at home and we received a unique experience with delightful service and amazing food. We started out with the house red wine- it was good but not my favorite, have been pretty spoiled last week with the Italy house wines. We shared appetizers with our friends- fried calamari, octopus on potatoes, and mussels. The waitress suggested a filet for me- it came with mushrooms and potatoes. The flavor of the meat was really good but could have been a bit more tender. My husband had the chicken thighs and loved them. I tried my friend's seafood paella and it was really good. My friend's husband had a tuba steak- he thought the portion size was rather small. We didn't have dessert but they sounded good. I gave this place 4 stars because although it was overall really good, I wouldn't say it was outstanding. read more

Right next to our hotel, can't go wrong there. We got drinks and had some tapas. I got a mixed Jamaican rum drink that was good and the price wasn't too high (6€). Our family saw the good ratings on Yelp and decided to try My Way. We were close by seeing the flamenco show and this was the closest highest rated restaurant. What a great find, off the main square in a nicely decorated restaurant we found some yummy food. Everyone enjoyed their dishes, but I will say the paella was a little salty. The rest was on point. Our service in BCN has been tremendous, and this was decent...but we also had better while here. All in all this is a good place in a touristy part of the city. Considering that, the food quality was very good, but our dining experience and atmosphere just missed the mark for a higher score. I would go back, but there are so many great options in Barcelona. I finally found the best tasting food in Barcelona. Food in Barcelona is generally good everywhere, but this place is excellent. we discovered it by chance when walking in the Gothic Quarter just off La Rambla. I had Kir Royal for a drink which was excellent. We had several tapas and each was to die for. We also had gespacho soup - excellent and. Ceviche from the cold starters menu - was very fresh and full of flavors, came with some little crispy chips which were delicious. Tapas we tried: fried calamari, marinated olives, grilled octopus, baked asparagus with almonds , risotto with ham and wild mushrooms. Excellent. All made from fresh ingredients and full of flavors. Instead of desert i ordered baked camembert with cameralized onions and balsamic vinegar souse - it has sweet taste. The bill for two came to 60 euro, including 2 euro tip ( to round up the bill) for: two glasses of red house wine, one cocktail, 6 tapas, one cold starter and two soups. Picked this restaurant as a second choice due to proximity to the hotel and the chance for rain showers. We were a group of 10 and accommodated with an easy reservation. The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice and the staff are super attentive, professional and accommodating. Overall I would rate the food as good but not great. The portion sizes were adequate but smaller than other restaurants we had visited. The paella was good, again not great just good.. the biggest let down for us was the sangria.. I was able to watch it being made from red wine, fruit, Fanta soda pop (not kidding) and some other "clear liquid" which I presume was simple syrup. I would definitely pass on the sangria- way to sugary- tasted more like cream soda than sangria. I wanted to really love this place, based on the yelp and TripAdvisor reviews, but I thought it was just ok. Dinner was solid, but not spectacular. Perhaps we ordered the wrong dishes. We had mostly small plates for more of a tapas experience: mango salad, risotto, mushroom tapas, cheese plate, and olives. The mushrooms did not seem fresh, and the risotto was not well cooked. The service was exceptional and drinks were generous.
