If I could give a negative star, I would…read more I received a notice back in November of 2024 regarding a possible assessment from the DOR for our 2021 tax return. I made multiple attempts to contact a tax rep at HR block, with ZERO response. When I did finally get ahold of someone, probably 1.5 months later, I was told we needed to file an amended return, as there was a missing W2 on the original return and we had to pay almost $400 back to the DOR. Fast forward a bit, it is now April and I am still fighting this, they are denying my claim (their "peace of mind" option) stating I never gave the documentation to the original prep person, which is completely inaccurate. This company is IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with. Their customer service people are rude and I was hung up on once, one person sent me to some random banking center which I asked to speak to "client claims," then a third rep told me "client claims" has no direct line to call and everything had to be done via email. What kind of joke of a company does this? How can they sit here and charge me hundreds of dollars for "peace of mind" never stating EVERYTHING HAD TO be submitted online and then accuse me of lying and deny my claim. This company is an embarrassment and shouldn't be allowed to "help" people with their taxes. It seems like a scam and false advertising. I spoke with client claims department when someone FINALLY returned my phone call and they again, insisted I never provided the documents and continue to deny my claim. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY + ESPECIALLY DO NOT PAY FOR "PEACE OF MIND" because it is far from what they provide.
