He made sure I understood what I was looking at and was very clear about which issues were urgent and which issues were things I could deal with on my own in my own time. He was incredibly thorough, took into consideration everything I asked about, and was simply kind the entire time. He didn't make me feel inexperienced or dumb, and I left the inspection feeling confident and knowledgeable about my home! The report he sent to me after was also next-level! It was so clear, so thorough, included everything he and I looked at, and was super well laid out (kudos to whoever designed that layout!!) He even had photos which demonstrated what things should look like or how they could potentially be fixed. It was so awesome! I won't say I was dreading the inspection, but I certainly didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did! Go see these folks--you will not regret it at all!

Not everyone knows what to look for in an old house - and he certainly did. He gave us tips about the foundation, pipes, etc..and was really knowledgeable. If you accompany him through the inspection (and I followed him around with a notebook), you learned all sorts of things about your home - he gave suggestions for future repairs, and pointed out things that were big fixes vs. things that we could remedy ourself. He was able to make an appointment quickly for our timeline, and got the report back to us very quickly. He also did a fantastic job with our radon inspection. For an inspector in the area, he did a great job, and I'd definitely use him in the future. The only thing I would love is if he had more referrals of reliable local businesses who could do the work on things that require repairs...but all and all, that's really not his role. What I particularly liked about him, is that he doesn't focus at all on the cosmetic things - which too many people do....instead, he focused on the big things - structural integrity, electrical systems, heating system, roofing, etc..the things that could really sink your budget. He actually take a ladder and goes up to your roof to look at it - and we had a 3 story place. For a thorough, reliable inspector who will go through both the internal systems and external integrity...Wayne does a great job. We suspected we had mold in our house and had hired another inspector. After taking just air…read moresamples, this inspector found no cause for concern. Fast forward several months and I smelled something off in my bedroom though didn't see mold anywhere. My doctor recommended EnviroHealth Consulting and I made an appointment to have May come out to do her inspection. This inspection took over 5 hours and was extremely thorough. Unlike the other inspector, May took the time to ask questions about past leaks in the house and to get a sense for where there might have been problems. May is knowledgeable about construction which helps in pinpointing potentail problem areas with moisture. A week or so after her inspection, May emailed me a comprehensive report which included recommendations for remediation of the mold that she found. Turns out, the mold was lurking in the walls. That's why I could smell it but not see it. I highly recommend May if you want a thorough inspection.

Very tidy, I'd even say extremely clean contractor. I wiped down all the walls and ceilings after he finished because we're painting, and for 800 sq feet I used one, repeat ONE dry swiffer. The entire second floor was carpeted and we had no idea what lay beneath. Aaron was able to smooth out the uneven boards and stain smoothly to not highlight the blemishes.
