I have been going to Myeyedr for several years. I recently went by the Canton Riverstone office to get my prescription filled to be told that Dr.Chambers is no longer there and, they won't be seeing anyone until July 2025. I am very disappointed, however, I understand that people move on. I started at the Woodstock office, I'll be going to the Sixes /BridgeMill office. I'm fairly confident I will be just as happy. When I made the change from Woodstock to Canton, I noticed that I had been paying a lot more at the Woodstock office for the same execution, that's exact prescription. I can't even give this practice one star. I made an appointment got there on time. Then the girl who was walking by me in the office as I came in the door ask my name and said oh we were just going to call you to cancel your appointment because there wasn't a tech to put me thru the initial testing. So why couldn't the optometrist do it. I suppose it's beneath the realm of his responsibility and let the customer suffer. Kelly who does the pre-calls for the following day is very rude and not pleasant speaking to. She has a very condescending tone and told me she canceled my appointment because I didn't answer her phone call.. it's 3:00pm on a Monday and I was at work. Will not be returning to this location she's not very personable and hopefully she can use this to improve how she speaks with customers. read more

I was notified that eyeglasses were ready to pick up. I drove down to the Canton location, to only be told that the Dr. went home early and I couldn't pick them up since he was not there. I have gotten eyeglasses here several times before over the years and the Dr. never even saw me at pick up. The assistant would sit me at the table in the front and have me put them on to see how they fit. If they needed adjusting the assistant did it right there until I said they felt good. Don't know why I couldn't get my glasses with out the Dr. being there. read more

I've been getting eye exams and having them fill my contact lens prescriptions for many years now. While the eye doctor is amazing (Dr. Stephen Chambers), I'm incredibly disappointed in the management of the location. I have literally gone to this store in the past month - once to order my contacts and once to pick them up. BOTH TIMES I went to the store, only to read a sign posted on the door which indicated that they were closed for 1 1/2-2 hours for lunch. The first time, it was from 12-2pm and the second time, it was from 1:30-3pm. What reputable business does this? No advanced notice. Their website saying nothing about closing for lunch, and they just seem to post a sign whenever it's convenient for them, and off they go. If your time is as precious to you as mine is, you'll find another location that values your time. Also, I know I can get my contacts for less money at Costco, and yet, for the sake of convenience, I've paid a bit more to not have to drive as far. I won't be making that mistake again. Loved my eye dr on hwy 92 near trickum. Had to move due to 92 stopped taking my insurance. They referred me to sixes rd. Loved the Dr. but ended there. The optical manager not only lied to me but ordering the wrong trials but lied about a voicemail! When I called sixes about wrong trial order I got a nice young girl and explained my problems she said to come to Riverstone location and would be glad to help.... Went today at 1:45 doors were locked with employees inside they came and opened door and said couldn't help me that they were closing 1:15 min early. I'm so done with this stupid company!!! This includes an In-store experience as well as timeliness of order. I was seen on Nov 20th, 2024 and had my eye exam and placed an order for my lens. I was told the lenses would arrive to my home in 7-10days. Fast forward to 12/7. I hadn't received my lenses, so I called the office and was told since it was a weekend, the system wouldn't allow them to check the status of the lenses. I gave my contact info and was told they would reach out to me on 12/9. No one called me. I then called the office on 12/11 and spoke with a lady who was busy at the time. I gave her my contact info again and she said she would contact me by the end of that day. No one called. Today I called and was on for a total of 25-30 min. I asked for the manager, David and vented my frustration. He then put me on hold and 4 min later another lady answered and said she would help me. I said I would just stop by the office. I stopped by the office and David asked me how he could help me. I told him that he didn't have the decency, as a manager to help me over the phone and that I didn't want to speak with him. He never apologized or even tried to rectify the issue. He went back to working on his computer. I said I would speak with Kelly and only her. She was able to get me some answers but I'll have to wait until Monday for info regarding my lens order. As a business owner myself, I know customer service is paramount. The unprofessionalism and lack of service provided by the Manager David puts a bad taste in my month. I've been coming here for years and now I'm considering going to another place. Who is the rude lady behind the counter? You will have to wait until the end of the story (or just scroll to the bottom)  I had a 1:15 appointment for my 8 year old daughter. We arrived 1:08. I was informed I was late by the lady behind the counter? I have two text confirmations and already completed a phone call with my insurance information a couple days earlier. All said 1:15. But no worries! What do you need from me? At that point, she pretty much suggested we leave and reschedule. Nope! Not going to happen! I already waited two weeks for this appointment, and I would like my daughter to be able to see the classroom board please. Then she informed me my insurance didn't go through and that we don't have time to fix it. Also, she said that she had been trying to reach out to me all morning. I had one missed call at 8:30. That was it. Like most people, I get spam calls so I didn't answer the number I didn't recognize. Did she give me a second call so I know it is important? Nope. Did she send me a text message she know's works because I have already checked in and confirmed my appointment that way? Nope No worries! Guess what! I have the money so I will pay. $100? You want cash or card? No need to cancel the appointment, let's go!  Well, let's hurry back! at 1:08 for my 1:15 appointment. Oh, by the way, the paperwork was 4 signatures and my daughters birthday that takes less than 30 seconds to complete. All good! 6 minutes and 30 seconds to spare! Now I am early!  At this point the eye examination had begun as the conversation continues with the lady behind the counter. What to do about this insurance situation? Since I told her I was referred to them by my insurance directly, there should have been no problem and I guess I will get reimbursed later. But thanks for the help!  I suggest to her to call the customer service number on my insurance card. What does she do? She proceeds to print me up 3 pages of paper pretty much saying my insurance is garbage and doesn't cover the appointment. She then proceeds to tell me for about 5-10 minutes in front of my daughter about how I have no coverage. Trying to embarrass me I guess? Not sure the angle here? Great customer service! Either way, I get the point!  Still, no worries, as I said earlier, I have the money. I will take care of it and get reimbursed myself and guess what? You will still get your money I almost, almost! Gave 2 or 3 stars just because the doctor and the doctor's assistant were so great with my daughter, but that lady. wow.  Still want to know who she is? The story goes on!  Now I am getting ready to pay. My daughter and I are in the seats out front as the doctor walks by. I couldn't bite my tongue. I pulled him to the side and said "doc, you have a problem with the lady behind the counter, might be why you have 2.5 stars on yelp" , he replies "I am not the boss" and walks off. So epic I go back to paying with another lady who goes over everything with me. She is concise, professional, and informative. Don't waste your time going to this place. I made an appointment online 2 weeks ago, then 3 days before my appointment I received a text asking me to press 1 to confirm my appointment and today I left work early to be there in time. The receptionist said that not just I didn't have an appointment but they didn't have any info of me in the system, even though I was showing the snapshots for my appointment and the text I received from them. I went to this practice 6 years ago and had a pretty awful experience with one of their doctors, she was really unpolite to the lady before me and then proceeded to do the same with me, really odd. I made the mistake to give them another chance and surely won't happen ever again. Don't waste your time with this one, there are plenty of well run practices out there. My appointment was with the one located off Sixes Rd. but I wouldn't trust any location and surely shouldn't trust them with my eyes. read more

I called the number given and after talking with a representative I got what I refer to as a canned answer... the insurance company changed the amount they agreed to pay. After reading some of the reviews, I was very wary of going here but we couldn't have had a better experience. The office staff was so friendly and helpful. They only care about milking as much money from there customers, I paid for eye exam, plus more test, then found out my insurance only covers by annually, could not find frames cheap enough that looks half way decant, so I ask for my subscription, and they said NO! Need NEGATIVE Stars! Called ahead - asked - does your facility allow me to bring my own frames with my Rx to have my glasses made? OH YES, bring them in. Only concern via phone was does insurance pay. yes yes... Ok. I go in on 04/16. They take my two pairs of frames, determine what I want on my glasses, charge me $400+ and advise will be ready in 2 wks. No word, so I call on 4/30 - Hi, what is status? I was informed I needed to give them at least two weeks, as the order was made on 04/22. I don't know why ya'll waited a week to order, but I was THERE on 04/16. Person on phone argued with me over date, then comes back and says OH - Issue is your glasses came back, optometrist reviewed, and they did not pass quality check - sent back. WIll call when ready. Unhappy, but ok. Then on 05/02, I receive a call from the facility - I'm advised my sunglasses are in, I can come get them, but they cannot locate my clear frames and are fervently seeking them and will get back to me. I asked - what about the optometrist determining not passing quality control? I'm informed they have NO IDEA why I was told that - it was not the case. SUPER!! Now, really unhappy. THEN 05/03 I get a call from yet ANOTHER person - advising they have straight up LOST MY FRAMES AND GLASSES and the ones that are the sunglasses that I could come pick up is ALSO incorrect, as the glasses that came in as sunglasses, were in the frames that were supposed to be my clear frames. I asked this person about the optometrist story - Nope - don't know where that came from. Advised I was told my sunglasses were ready to pick up - Nope - that is wrong, don't know why I was told that either. REALLY UNHAPPY and frankly this time, let it be known. I know it was nnot the fault of the person on the phone, but DANG! THIRD CALL THIRD STORY and this one says basically, I am s**t out of luck for one of my pair of frames, and now... guess how long to have the tint removed from the lenses?? ANOTHER WEEK & HALF TO TWO MORE WEEKS!!! UNFREAKING BELIEVABLE. I have spent $400+ I have nothing to show for it except three separate stories and advisement my glasses are straight up lost. I asked what they were going to do for me due to their error? Oh, we'll refund you the cost and if you replace we'll pay for the shipping. SERIOUSLY????? Oh... I have been a patient of Dr. Shipley for about 9 years but have seen the other doctors when I was having an issue. They were all very kind and professional. My family has a history of eye problems and Dr. Shipley is always very thorough and explains everything. I have had to pop in numerous times over the years for myself or my grandson when there were issues with our glasses and they are always helpful and, if not with a patient, immediately take care of our needs. read more

To start the one star is for Dr.Shipley, if it wasn't for him it would be zero stars. I have been going here a long time and have just overlooked the staff because I love Dr. Shipley. The staff is rude and in your face trying to sell you things you don't want or need. They don't listen to your concerns and questions, interupt conversations. Some of the staff have no clue how to determine what your insurance will pay. I acutually think I got charged twice. Also, it seems there is a big tunover there, always a differet office staff except for the one dude. He is high pressure sales and a bully. I only went back to order contacts because i was out and going out of town and didn't have time to shop around. Do yourself a favor, shop around. Just walking in this place sends my BP thru the roof. I would avoid this place. Even though I love Dr. Shipley, I think I am goint to have to go somewhere else. read more
