My son Kolton recently had a LOT of work done here. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!…read moreWe visited three dentist total trying to find someone in "network" or who we felt comfortable with. My heart was stuck with Dr. Drew and her team. I trusted the work that she wanted to do on my son. He was a complicated case (in my opinion) bc when he was little, he had a lot of medical treatments that eventually ruined his teeth. The treatment plan that she had for him made sense. She took the time to explain everything and why she thought certain things were necessary. Everyone in this office was patient, kind and greeted us with a warm welcoming smile. Coming here felt like coming home. Any questions I asked, they seemed pleased to answer. I recommend them to any and everyone I know. I am forever grateful for Dr. Drew and her team, and also for Rebecca who was so sweet and always willing to help as well.

The office is fairly nice, and the dentist my daughter saw did a good job overall, but the billing…read morepractices are not what I had expected. We were asked to pay 100% up-front for the exam and file for individual reimbursement, something we have not had to do with any other dentists, and their computer system showed they would be reimbursed for the fluoride and cleaning. That should have been a red flag to me to leave, but I was under the impression that my Delta Dental was in-network and my 100% coverage would make it all okay. Apparently because my DD is "out-of-state," the dentist's office contracted rates did not apply. That's fine, I've worked insurance, I know that the contracts for networks get cloudy at best. When I called to talk about it, they basically said they stay out of network as often as possible so that they can set more of their own preferences in the number of patients, etc. That willingness to charge more per patient is not something I had expected, and there was no negotiating the rate down. Normally issues with negotiated rates are fought between practitioners and insurance companies (that's the only major perk of insurance), so make extra sure you are in network and that you are okay fronting the entire amount with only a hope for reimbursement or that you have sufficient time to call hither thither and yon to try to get full payment.

Go to this dental office if you want your insurance benefits maxed out and a surprise bill showing…read moreup in your mailbox later. They openly admit they do not verify EOBs because it's considered a "courtesy service," yet they have no problem upselling unnecessary treatments like nitrous oxide for children -- knowing it may not be covered by insurance and isn't always medically necessary. This office caused me so much stress that I transferred my child to another dentist for a second opinion. Turns out only 1 of the 3 molars they claimed needed treatment actually needed work. That alone says enough. SCAMMERS ! Oh and they don't tell you the charges until arrival. I've received 3 different charges for one tooth and a surprise text for a balance owed. Contacted Human Resources to have the 216.00 charge removed after paying $130 and having Aetna insurance. The wait to tell you the charges part of the strategy & then they have you sign the estimate to throw in your face that you signed it. Organized CRIME, on to the BBB for my next review on them... The front desk staff were nonchalant and unhelpful throughout the process, and management seemed more focused on swiping cards than properly running the office or helping patients understand charges and treatment plans. I guess those fancy decorations and showroom-style furniture have to get paid for somehow. . Don't waste your time here it's all about the money and charges. They will use up your insurance just on fees and up sales, and also have you to pay out of pocket. Wish I could leave 0 stars. And honestly, some of these Google reviews feel way too scripted to be believable.

They are money hungry and Dr. Nia the wife is disrespectful and doesn't know how to work with kids. She was very unprofessional and rude while my son was crying. Do not take your kids here.

Predatory, Aggressive and Dangerous practices - Avoid at all costs…read moreI have been a patient with Canton Smiles for over 2 years. I have periodontal gum disease and my treatment plan was to close the gap in my 2 front teeth in order to proceed with a treatment in hopes that they can treat avoid extracting my teeth. They referred me to a prosthodontist and I have been under her care for about 18 months, and alternating cleanings between her office and Canton Smiles. Yesterday, after being examined by my prosthodontist and my orthodontist I was referred back to my periodontist in Canton Smiles for treatment of inflammation behind my 2 front upper teeth. I scheduled and appointment at Canton Smiles with Dr. Schatz. Instead of receiving medical care, I experienced predatory bait-and-switch. First, the periodontist Peter Schatz was completely unprepared and asked me what my own treatment plan was. After explaining my history, he diagnosed a periodontal abscess and left me to go "consult" with Dr. Reza. Dr. Reza then came to the examination room and proceeded to push and extreme financially motivated scheme to extract 8 of my front teeth for bridges. I asked to consult with my prosthodontist, and reminded him that I was there to treat the inflammation in my gums. I was then approached by the front desk lady to discuss my the treatment plan for extracting teeth and bridges. Once again, I had to ask about the treatment for the inflammation, she said she would need to speak with Dr. Schatz. She again returned and told me that Dr. Schatz was going to be sending a script to the pharmacy for the abscess and he would not be willing to treat my abscess until my 2 front teeth were extracted!!! Extremely dissatisfied that Dr. Schatz couldn't find the time to discuss his the treatment for my abscess, I asked her to send the treatment plan to my prosthodontist and I would discuss it with her. I immediately consulted my orthodontist, who shared his disappointment with how Canton Smiles handled this abscess. He confirmed that he is aware of my bone loss issues, and that he does not see the red flags being raised by Canton Smiles' extreme claims. Canton Smiles tactics feel more like an attempt to bully me into expensive, unnecessary surgeries. They care about money, not medicine. Stay far away.
