I went here to have an eye exam because my Colorado state drivers license was nearing expiration and the DMV website said I needed proof of a recent exam. I had the exam and my vision is 20-20 and 20-25. I'm 61 years old and I only need reading glasses. I want nice readers so I picked out an Oakley brand frame and I asked that they put +1.50 strength lenses in them. With insurance they were about $180.00 dollars. They took way longer than they said it would take. When I went to pick them up they had +3.25 readers in them, and the guy at the desk said that even that was wrong because the ticket actually was written for them to have prescription lenses. Again, with my vision I don't need prescription lenses. When I asked how do you get what you do as a business day-in and day-out so wrong all I got was a sorry. The eye doctor who gave me the exam and the imbecile who wrote up the order were both standing there and they both just walked away. I realize this place is the Burger King of eye doctors and my expectations going in were low. I went here out of convenience because I knew my vision is very good. However this place still manged to completely botch this order. I gave them one star because no stars isn't an option. If you care about competent care for your eyes I'd avoid this place. Give your business to a real vision care clinic. read more

Super impressed with friendliness and professionalism. Every single employee I interacted with was amazing. Everyone answered any questions I had thoroughly and I understood everything. I got my glasses in about a week which is good timing as well. I'm super happy with my glasses and my experience. These employees are good at giving enough information to help you make a good decision for your own finances. I loved it so much. I wish I remembered everyone's names but i don't. This review reflects ONLY of the optical department. I ordered glasses on June 30th, 2023. I was promised to get them back on July 14th. I received no update throughout the process. I called 3 times, all 3 I was promised a callback. Never received one. On Friday, July 21st, right before the office closed, I got a voicemail letting me know my glasses were lost and I needed to call to re-start the process. Needless to say , my son also got his glasses done, was also promised July the 14th and they came back with a defect that is only visible when using transitions. Now, we have to go back and perhaps send those back. I called today , July 24th and was told a Manager would call me back to discuss the process after I demanded a refund, which most likely will not happen. I am down over $300.00 dollars, 4 weeks after ordering glasses and I can't even get them at an additional place because this place marked my glasses as done and now VSP will not cover my claim. No one is taking responsibility. I have been going to this place for over 10 years and now, I leave with my 4 family members. This place is going downhill fast. I have emailed patients relations twice and received 0 response. I sure hope I can get my money back. read more

the staff here is great, so are the docs. the main issue I had was when I purchased glasses, the receipt says: PROMISE DATE: with a date listed. I called on that day thunking I'd be picking up my glasses, but they said they weren't ready yet. you can imagine my surprise. The woman I spoke with said the date listed is only an estimate. I asked why then did it say PROMISE DATE? She had no idea that was even on every receipt given to every single customer. Not for nothing, but that's basically a lie. I've been a customer here since it was Family Eye Care and had some problems with my glasses previously. I decided to give it another try and discovered that my old doctor had retired. Taking a chance, I saw Dr. Schmicker, and she was fantastic. Surprisingly, my glasses arrived earlier than expected. It was a nice change from last years visit. This location on Yosemite St. has really turned things around. When MyEyeDr took over the family eye clinic, the transition was painful. I ultimately found another clinic that sold glasses that was better, but it was just ok. Fast forward to a few months ago and I was desperate to find new frames that I liked and even though I vowed never to use MyEyeDr. again, I found myself popping in to check out their selection. They had an entirely new front office staff. They came through for me on so many levels. I had just been told by another eye place that it was impossible to replace my lenses on frames I loved. they had tried and failed 3 times. when I told MyEyeDr what had happened, they spent a lot of time troubleshooting with me and ultimately solved the problem. In addition, they were pleasant to work with and so knowledgeable. The best service I have received in a very long time. I highly recommend this location. read more

Used to be amazing - best in town. Since myeyedr bought them, they are AWFUL. The docs are still good, but the lab folks are not good. We've had 3 pairs of glasses made there, ALL have had problems. They do not stand behind their work - they admitted they made my husband's lenses wrong, but then charged him full price for new lenses. My daughter's lenses keep popping out of her glasses (not screws). They had me bring in my frames several times (bought there) because they couldn't get the lenses made correctly. They give you incorrect information on benefits so you end up paying more. After 20 years, we are going somewhere else. read more

So this review is a bit belated and Dr Uddin's eye exam was fine. The optometry service here however is very dissapointing. The nosepad broke off of my wire frames. (The frames haven't been abused bent or sat on etc.. seemed like something I wouldn't expect for a 6 month old frame) So upon returning to the store to ask about repairs I was told that because I didn't buy the extended coverage plan they won't repair them. They pointed me to another shop across town which I guess does repairs (no affiliation). Now these glasses weren't cheap. Over 500 dollars all in and I was told somewhat dismissively by the counter clerk they only warranty the frames for 30 days unless you buy the extended coverage. They are making their money but really aren't really doing much for their customer service with this policy. There are other optical shops. .. after I find one that actually repairs frames I'll look elsewhere for future glasses purchases and unfortunately exams as well for me and my family. read more

This review is for the optical department only. I have no issues with the doctors and techs there. Ever since they've been bought out by myeyedr, everything seems to have gone downhill. They are very pushy with trying to sell us glasses, even when the optometrist recommended we wait. But, once they take your money, there's no accountability and customer service ends there. We ordered a pair of glasses for my daughter about 6 weeks ago. Usually it takes 2 (at the most 3 weeks) and that's what I was told. 4 weeks in we haven't heard anything back so I called and they said there is some issue with my glasses at the lab but it should be just 1 more week. Well, as of today, 2 additional weeks passed (6 weeks from ordering) and still nothing. I called around 8:30am and they said they'll call me right back. Called again 11:30 and waited almost 20 min but they said they're assisting other customers. Called again after 4pm and finally someone looked into the order and found out that lab had our lens but the frames were originally sent to the clinic. There were no communication between lab and clinic and definitely not to me. Lab was just waiting for frames to arrive. They obviously didn't really look into it when I called 2 weeks ago and now say it'll be another week before they'll be ready since they have to send the frames to the lab. Furthermore, they never acknowledged their mistake nor apologized. The optical department was too busy to give me the courtesy of a phone call back. They're too busy trying to sell new glasses to on site customers. This is so disappointing as I have been buying glasses for my 4 family members there for over 4 years. I would not recommend for glasses due to turnaround time, shoddy customer service, and lack of accountability.

The actual eye care here is okay. Whatever you do, do NOT buy glasses from this practice. The turnaround time is atrocious and they do not communicate well after you've paid them. After asking for a refund 2 months later, I was told that my glasses magically would arrive "soon." The general manager, Quanesha, refused to acknowledge the issue and so I am stuck with the glasses, whenever they arrive. If they every do arrive, I guess I could pop the lenses out for fun (and a nominal refund) and then shave them into new frames, which is as ludicrous as it gets, considering that new frames would probably never arrive anyway. Stay away; there are too many good practices out there to get sucked into this scam. read more

I've been trying to get reading glasses since JANUARY 2022. Have been sent to different locations to follow a doctor that stopped working at the location I originally went to. Had a NEW script written 4/22/22, called today because it's been two weeks - NO WORD from them. Sat on hold for 22 min with original location just to have them tell me that the "other, new office" never ordered them. Their going place and rush an order TODAY, 5/12/22. It's been five months. I am getting huge strain behind my right eye for overcompensating and causing headaches. They told me there was nothing they could do and that I had to call the "other" office. "They should have not dropped the ball, that would never had never happened here". Ummmm ... you're the same company. Both offices blamed each other or only took a tiny bit of responsibility (after some time) and no one took responsibility as a whole. So now I'm on waiting nearly 15 min on the phone with the new location for the office manager and I am not quite sure why? Oh! To tell me the order could be placed today but not a refund. "That doesn't make sense" she said. If the order was placed today, I am not sure what the resolve could be? A refund? Ugh. Don't go MyEyeDr --- there are SO MANY OTHER OPTIONS. I took my script (hopefully it's accurate this time) and ordered on EyeBuyDirect for about 30% of the MyEyeDr charge! read more

Had two appointments for myself and wife. 10 minutes late for the one and ten minutes early for the other. One of us was refused service. No attempt was made to accommodate us or make another appointment. Odd that they would want to lose a four person family's worth of business over a minute or two. read more

This is by far the worst eye clinic I have ever been to. It started with them not reviewing my insurance and recommending dilation vs. digital retinal imagining. The excuse was that the staff was new (been there 1 day). Then I ordered my glassed and over 6 weeks later I still do not have them. I keep calling and they keep telling me excuses as to why they have not arrived. Further, they said that I would be a 20% discount due to the inconvenience that I have experience and that has not hit my account yet (been over 3 weeks). When I call to inquire about my glass I also ask about my refund and they are telling me I have to wait for my glasses to arrive and then I need to speak to the office manager. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone - they are AWFUL! read more

I've been a patient of this office for 15 years, and they were great until they got bought out by MyEyeDr. The doctors and techs are still excellent, but the business administration side is terrible. They don't answer voicemail or emails, EVER. You wait a week or 3 and then call them back, and they say "well sometimes things fall through the cracks". When 100% of communication falls through the cracks, that's a big ass crack. They claim that the vision insurance you've had (unchanged) for years now doesn't cover contacts because they can't figure out how to process it, and the other staffer who said it still is covered was "misinformed". Accuracy, precision, and attention to detail are extremely important qualities for a medical office. MyEyeDr staff fails spectacularly at all three. I'm really hoping my doctor leaves and sets up his own practice , or joins another practice that has better management. read more
