I'm a little shocked with these reviews. After having trouble with our eyeglass insurance, I saw that M.E.D (myEyeDr) was having a $199 sale for designer glasses and lenses. Our appointment was at 4:15 and we were pulled back at 4:20 for our first rounds of testing/questions before we saw the doctor. The staff was polite and attentive. We returned to the lobby and continued to look at frames. I have a teenager, so I was grateful for the extra looking time. The only thing that concerned me was that it was probably around 445pm at this point (they close at 6) and they had a lobby full of people waiting to purchase/ adjust glasses. The doctor pulled us back relatively quickly after our first go around of testing, and then did the actual exam. She had a wonderful bedside manner and was thorough. We returned to the lobby while an older woman with grey hair handled the massive crowds out front. Now closer to 515/530 I was getting even more nervous about my child's glasses not being ordered, and us having to come back. When the older woman asked for a staff member to assist her , the other staff (very short dark hair, medium built woman with glasses) was being disrespectful and talking in a negative manner about helping in the back (the corner where they keep supplies) we heard her because we were by the desk waiting. Very unpleasant and unprofessional. The second staff member came out - though it seemed unwillingly to assist, and the older associate helped us. She was also kind and thorough. We were told that the glasses would be available the week of the 16th. We got the glasses picked up on the 14th, and they fit wonderfully. The desk staff was polite and made sure that her glasses were adjusted accordingly. $199 for the frames, $140 for the exam. We got the anti blue light and the warranty, about $390 after taxes. Not bad for Michael Kors frames and no vision benefits. Thank you M.E.D- we appreciate you. read more

Ordered my wife's glasses way in advance so she can have them for her birthday party . They finally came in and it results they ordered the wrong frame and had to get them remade after waiting 2 weeks to get them . Now we're stuck with no glasses and on the waiting game once again and they definitely won't be here in time for her birthday they said . Long wait times but friendly staff is all the good I have to say about them. read more

Expect to spend a long time here. It is rediculous. Staff is friendly but if you make an appointment you still have to wait. Appointment was at 12. We finally left at 1:30 and we discovered they didn't actually put prescription lenses in the sunglasses we paid for. They replaced them for free but beware. read more

I had my eye checked on June 26,2026 I was that my glasses would be ready on July 13,2026 I asked that they be delivered to the MyEyeDr in Florida because that were I would be. I still have received my glasses as of today, I need my glasses because I use the computer a lot.Brenda has a great help but this location is horrible.i would never go back there or advise anyone to go there a whole month to get 1 pair of glass makes no sense. read more

Worst place I have ever gone. I am an elderly woman on a fixed income and I suffer from TED. The doctor was extremely nice and informative but the staff in the front are not friendly or helpful and not knowledgeable of insurance and co-pays. And their customer service (on phone) is even worse. I purchased two pairs of glasses they received over $650 dollars from me and over $300 from my insurance almost a thousand dollars for 2 pairs of glasses. One pair already has a scratch on it and the progressive lenses are actually undetectable. Now on top of the expense and very poor quality of the glasses they are sending me a bill for another 160 dollars. They are in network with my insurance and still they want more money. I paid exactly what they asked and told me was my portion. I went to this branch because they were in network with my insurance, I should have gone to another out of network. My insurance paid exactly their portion and still they want more ... what highway robbery this facility in Massaponic, Virginia. And the glasses I received were and are a huge disappointment. Had my yearly eye exam for glasses and contact lenses last week and must say I was very pleased with Dr. Virk! She was super pleasant and informative during the entire appointment. I can't remember the eye technician's name but she was also super nice and explained everything she needed to. Ordered contact lenses with ease, but wish there was a better selection of eyeglasses to choose from; however they did say they were doing inventory and not everything was out on display. read more

I ordered my glasses mid November and was told I would get them the day after Thanksgiving. Today is 16 Dec and I still haven't gotten them. First the frames were not in stock. Once the frames were available I was then told the lenses had to be redone. I was told they would finally be ready today so I called. I'm still waiting on a return call from the manager. Still no glasses. To make matters worse, a young lady I talked to last week was not interested in me trying to understand why my order was taking so long. As I asked a question, she cut me off and asked if I wanted a refund. I just want my glasses. I don't want to have to go through this entire process over again from the beginning with a different store but I may have to if I don't get my glasses soon. read more

I had a routine visit and wanted a current prescription. The visit was fine, but I've been waiting a week to get an accurate prescription. Their technology does not work to put on their portal and every time I call I am told that the person who can help me is out of the office. This has been going on for 5 days. I will never go back there. Can not recommend them as a business that cares about their customers. read more

The front desk staff was great. Nice and personable. The DR though, very short, no bed side manner, I felt I wasn't properly examined. I was back in the eye exam room for MAYBE 1-2 minutes and she sent me on my way. Her first words to me were "so you think you need glasses?" I decided to try this eye care facility based on a referral from a family member. The doctor was very friendly and answered all my questions. There was no long wait time to get an appointment and everything including my eye exam went smoothly, up until it was time to pick up my new glasses and contacts. They said they'd call when my items arrived. Well after a couple of weeks went by, I called to check the status. They said to give it another week then try back. I knew that the contacts would take a while to arrive since they're custom made with a special prescription but I couldn't figure out why the glasses took so long. After another week went by, I called just to be told that the lab broke the glasses after making them and had to remake them so it'd be another week or so. By this time my contacts should have come in. Nope, they're not ready either. After more time and another call they finally told me that the lab only made 1(one) contact lens because they hadn't receive the order for the other eye. WTF! How do you get a contact lens prescription and only make one contact? So they had to call in the prescription for the other lens which meant an even longer wait time. Needless to say, I was furious, but to help minimize my frustration, they did offer a $200 refund, thankfully but it wasn't enough to make me want to go back. They've been calling me for the last almost 3 years to come back but my spirit won't allow it. I realize there's room for human error but that was ridiculous. read more

Handed us a USED cleaning cloth and when asked for a new one that's sanitary, Brenda rolled her eyes and mocked us about being concerned about germs and Covid. I had called this place and asked if they accepted my son's s insurance. I told them what his insurance was and they said they accepted it. Well I came home Thursday and my husband said they don't accept his insurance. I will not go there nor tell anybody to go there. Miscommunications there . Very disappointed. read more

Each time I go there Crystal M.(eye/optician consultant) is very helpful with me when it comes time to make my selection of frames, especially the first time I went there. She took the time to explain the process and steps to me. Also really helpful were Nadeen Al-G.(optometrist) and Vanessa L.(patient coordinator). They all give excellent customer service! read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Made an appointment and took the day off only to be told that I had to wait an additional 45 minutes to be seen (No apology). I appreciate the fact that they are taking precautions due to COVID but the staff treats you as if you have the most contagious desease in the history of the world while they improperly wear their masks (off putting to the client . Also they make you put on their masks that are sitting on top of a dirty tray???? Overall the place seems nice and clean, the staff's attitude and lack of consideration for the client's time is what killed it for me. I wouldn't go back. Don't waste your money and time! I had an exam and purchased glasses, prescription sunglasses, and contacts 3 weeks ago. I recieved my regular pair of glasses in just a couple days, but about a week later later when my sunglasses arrived, the lenses were clear! They sent them back to the lab to get fixed, and my contacts still hadn't arrived. That Monday was the promise date for my contacts, but when I called I was told they weren't there, and they'd call me when they arrived. The next day, I stopped in to ask if they arrived because I was leaving that day for a work trip. Nope. Not there. I asked for more samples because I was leaving town, and I was given 5 days worth. A few days later I get an email that my order is ready. I arrive, and finally my sunglasses are ready. I ask about the contacts, and after sitting and waiting while they looked, someone sat down with me to tell me they were never ordered. They were going to call in the order, and it would take another week. Frustrated, I asked for more samples, and they didn't have any. At that point, I was so frustrated I had to go before I really lost my cool. I told them after the contacts arrive, I will not be back after 3 years of using their services, and almost $700 spent just this year. Don't go here. Buy your glasses somewhere else, and order your contacts online for much less and get them in 2 days, not 3 weeks. I'll never go here again. You shouldn't either. They didn't even seem to care a loyal customer was dissatisfied, and barely expressed regret for their mistakes. One mistake is forgivable, but multiple mistakes are not. Appt. Today at the south point location. 3:00. Went in, my daughter had the depth perception test and the eye analyzed. 2 mins, tops. We go to the waiting room, look at all the frames, do handstands, color, stack the kids chairs and play toss my slide. It is now 415. I approach the desk, which is in front of the "waiting room" and I say, through my mask, I am leaving in 5 minutes. The receptionist says, you re not allowed in this area. Mind you, same person who did the depth test, in a room inches away from my daughter and myself. Again, I state, we are leaving in 5 minutes. Without hesitation, she says, you can't be in this area, 6 feet. I walk back, 4 feet to my chair and sit. The receptionist meets with the eye dr. In private....we left. What practice schedules an appt. At 3, is involved with a client from 3 until 430 and no one says anything to you. Not, hey, I'm sorry this is taking so long, or we're running behind, would you like to reschedule? Nothing. Mind you, my daughter is patient and has manners. We left. NEVER AGAIN. read more
