Got hit with a bill months later because they couldn't get full payment from insurance even though I paid over $600. I will not use again.

Customer service is very poor and failed prescription. Receptionist immediately appears bothered and irritated that she's working. It was beyond uncomfortable. The experience continued throughout the visit. The optometrist has the personality on a wet rag. The contact lenses prescribed did not fit. When the office was called, they insisted this was normal and my eyes needed to adjust. It was only after I explained that my vision was better without the contacts than with the contacts, that they decided to talk to the doctor. The only reason this office was picked was because they offered late appointments. I'd drive a couple hours to go to a provider with weekend appointments instead of returning to this practice. read more

Had an appointment made way in advance, day of appointment Im waiting to check in and reception says their system crashed and they didn't have any appointments for me. Horrible. It took more than 6 weeks to get glasses despite being charged day of my appointment. The glasses I finally received were not correct. I was promised the corrected pair as well as the incorrect pair for free. BUT since picking up the incorrect pair they stopped correspondence. I've left multiple voicemails and have been ignored. it's now over 3 months since my appointment and I still have not received the glasses that I paid for at my appointment. read more

I went to the Mills Avenue location and my visit was pretty good/normal until I got to the optical store area. My total visit time took about 30 min which I appreciated and the receptionist, lady who did the eye test, and the eye doctor were all wonderful. The woman in the optical store was very rude and made me feel like an idiot for asking questions about the contact prescription. I don't think I'll ever go back and I don't recommend anyone go there unless they want their visit to end with a rude woman who makes you feel stupid. read more

Had an excellent experience from start to finish. I'm always nervous at any type of doctor appointment and I appreciated having everything explained to me so I could be more relaxed. After the exam I was escorted to select new glasses. The sales consultant could tell I was very overwhelmed and did not know where to get started considering there were so many to choose from. She asked me a few questions and selected a pair for me. Though I tried on a few more pairs, the original one was perfect for me. Nice and lightweight with a matte red frame, my favorite color. I was also able to get a great price on a new pair of Ray Ban sunglasses and she spent a great deal of time helping me choose the lenses that would work best for me. She was very patient. My eyeglasses were available for pickup earlier than promised and Scott the manager was very accommodating. He knew it was my first time wearing glasses and really took the time to make sure they were comfortable and exactly what I wanted. He explained to me how to care for them which was very helpful. Love the Dr at this location. He is wonderful. The young man in the optical store, however, was completely unprofessional. I told him that we wouldn't be purchasing new glasses for my son today. He seemed very put out and WOULD NOT LET IT GO. He would not take no for an answer. From lecturing me about not buying online to mansplaining my insurance coverage to me, it was extremely uncomfortable. I finally told him as nicely as I could to just stop & that we were leaving. When my 98-year-old mother's glasses broke, my niece said that the folks at MyEyeDr on Mills Avenue are extremely nice and maybe they could help. She was soooo right! They were terrific and repaired the glasses in a short amount of time. Not just the first time and the second... but (as of today) the third time! (This kind of thing happens when you're dealing with someone in a nursing home who keeps dropping them.) My mom can not be transported to an optician and I really appreciated their help when I really needed it! read more

This place is awful! My 3 children are adopted and have Medicaid. I bought there glasses there because the eye Dr. I took them to didn't provide glasses for children with Medicaid. I called my eye dr to bring my child back because his vision is changing. I spoke with 2 different women who were extremely RUDE!! They told me the manager was Scott, who never even touch the time to call me back. Please DO NOT go here with you or your children! The glasses are so cheap the lenses are falling out! We continue to be disappointed at the store in Greenville, SC. October 21, my wife needed to have her glasses adjusted. The office is suppose to open at 9 am. We arrived at the parking lot at 8:55 a.m., stayed until almost 9:15a.m. no one at the office, doors locked. Not happy!!! Today October 31, we arrived at the office around 9:45 am. Office open great. The 2 star rating is for the following: 1) office person debating if they were open on time the previous Friday. 2) My wife was having difficulties walking today. Had no choice, but to use steps into the office. I asked the question if they were ADA compliant. The answer was yes. Office personnel stated that at the end of the building there was a ramp and parking spot. There ADA compliance was a joke. A person has to travel through there stock room of glasses and travel down a long wooden ramp. There was no immediate entrance from the outside. Door is locked from the outside. This particular day it is raining. The ramp is half covered. Even though I brought the car around to the parking spot (parking spot is difficult to recognize.). My wife was completely drenched by the time she entered the car. Luckily we did not have to use a wheelchair. A person trying to access the building on Mills Ave., would have to travel around the building through the parking up a slippery ramp and wait for someone to gain access into the office. I am very disappointed with that. Unfortunately I did not have my phone to take pictures. The good thing is wife my did get her glasses adjusted. read more

Worst experience I have ever had since I started wearing glasses. Had an eye exam and ordered my glasses the same day. About two weeks later one pair arrives and the script for the right eye was completely wrong! They had to re-order both pairs of glasses and I have currently been waiting 3 more weeks and still don't have them back yet! Every time I call them I get a different story. Last week around Thursday I was told that the lab had shipped them that day and that they should be there Friday. I called the following Monday morning and was told they should be there today. Called back Tuesday morning and was told by the manager that the lab had not shipped them yet. Seriously, This company needs to get their shit together. I will never spend another dime at this place! If it were possible, I would cancel the order and get a refund and take my business elsewhere! read more

I hate that Dr. Garrett has left. He always took care of his patients. I have been to this location over 4 time complaining about my glasses, the owner Scott will not call me back. I'm not the one to complain at all. It was time for my check up to get new glasses and the vision from my glasses are not clear. I have tried to get someone to help me get this matter fixed. Called the office serval time and left a message for Scott he has not returned my call. I have been very patient with them. I called yesterday just to ask for a refund, still no call back from Scott about that. I would not recommend MyEyeDr to anyone. All I can say is GOOD LUCK! A good doctor and good exam but consider taking your prescription and buying your glasses somewhere else. They are good quality glasses but way more expensive to get them there compared to anywhere else. read more
