The prescription was not the same as my sample lenses. Because the lenses were purchased at Costco and one used before, I realized what was wrong, I was stuck with $200 of contacts I could not wear. They asked me if I would like a re-exam and I refused, what good is it going to a Dr. who already screwed up. Temple was kind and understanding but limited on what she could do. I received a questionnaire from the corporate office and filled it out with the facts (as above) It stated they would like to talk further and asked if it was ok to call. Of course. That call got action. Temple, who had already been so caring called and explained who the new Dr. was. What he would do before selling contacts and they offered a free eye exam. I agreed, with some hesitation and embarrassment. It was not necessary as they were welcoming, and the new eye Dr. spent about 45 minutes making sure the new contacts would fit. He even recognized I did not want daily wear contacts and gave me a test pair that were really comfortable. As fate would have it my husband hit my hand when I was placing a contact in my eye, and we have never found it. Upon calling, Temple, I was given a new pair and explained I didn't feel I was reading menus as well as I could. They included another contact to try, after talking with the Doctor. Contacts are now comfortable, and I am able to read a menu. I am going back again. Great difference with a doctor who knows what he is doing from one who does not.

However, I called in to ask to switch locations as I selected the incorrect one. Luckily, they were able to accommodate a same-day switch with no issues. I arrived 45 minutes early, and to my surprise, they were able to get me started right away. The technician and Dr. Emmons were amazing. Located by the Palladium in Carmel, this place is in a nice brick building that has a private parking lot out front. I walked in, had to fill out paperwork and then was called back for my appointment. They did all of the normal tests and the girl who was getting basic info from me before the doctor came in was incredibly friendly and easygoing. The doctor was very personable and helpful as well, and even showed me the photos of my eyes and described every little part of them and what to look for. He also went beyond prescribing a prescription and gave me intelligent information on new 'anti fatigue' glasses that are supposed to help the eye strain most people are now experiencing after looking at computers all day and let me know my Lasik options. Tip: He said that Indy has one of the best Lasik surgeons in the entire country, so be sure to go to him if you get it done and not some place that is cheap (he said each eye should be about $2000 and if it's less than that, you should be concerned). Good to know! The icing on the cake was the woman who checked me out and ran through my insurance afterwards. Not only was she able to tell me exactly what my insurance covers in terms of contacts/glasses, but she also had my year-long contact order in stock and brought them out to me in a cute bag. So happy I don't have to make a trip back! Also, with the $200 rebate they came with, I'll be getting contacts for the cheapest I've ever gotten them which is awesome.

Everyone was extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable, and there were a lot of tests conducted and I never felt like they were trying to push me to buy anything extra or get something I didn't need. They gave me a free sample of eye drops and also in the eye exam found an issue with my eye that I've never even been aware of and recommended how to treat it so I'm really happy. The doctor was very knowledgeable, friendly and answered all of my questions and didn't make me feel like he was rushing through anything. I highly recommend!

They were a well oiled machine. Then we met with Jadyn, the Optician. My wife Jackie and i both enjoyed talking with her and understanding new trends and eyewear we may prefer. Jadyn was so attentive and just interested in us. She was a good listener and let us know she heard what we were saying in a very courteous way. Jackie plans to purchase several pair of glasses, both prescription sunglasses and the regular inside pair. From here on out we will be going to Vision Quest and asking for Jadyn, when we need new eyewear.

My appt was at 8:30, grace period 10 minutes... I get there at 8:40, park my car and walk in, it's now 8:41 and she tells me to reschedule!?!?! I was so upset and disappointed in this treatment. She didn't even consider trying to help me or accommodate me in any way. I had to leave quickly because I was offended. However, about 30mins later on my way home, I did receive a phone call from the office manager who apologized for how my situation was handled. She acknowledged me as a long time customer and there should have been an attempt made to accommodate me. This speaks volumes to me because they could've shrugged their shoulders and moved on. So, even though I am still a bit upset at the person who was at the front desk for not trying in the least to accommodate me, I am changing their rating. I left with a two star experience today and that was me being a bit generous. The immediate follow up from management made me feel like a valued customer. That earned Norman and Miller Eyecare a four Star rating.
