    I am extremely disappointed with my experience trying to schedule care with Woolfson Eye Institute…read moreand Dr. Gaby Gutierrez. My appointment has now been canceled twice, including after I had already waited months to be seen. The most recent cancellation was not a same-day emergency situation. I was notified weeks in advance that the appointment would not be kept, yet the clinic did not provide a reasonable solution or help me get scheduled with another provider. For a medical practice, especially one dealing with eye care, reliability and communication matter. Patients arrange their schedules, wait for appointments, and trust that the office will respect their time. Repeated cancellations without an appropriate alternative creates a real access-to-care problem. After this happened, I looked further into the clinic's reviews and complaints and saw many other people reporting concerns about scheduling, communication, billing, insurance issues, and overall poor patient experience. Based on my own experience, those complaints are concerning. At this point, I do not feel confident moving forward with this office. I am thankful I found out before receiving treatment, because repeated scheduling issues and poor communication are warning signs for me. For anyone dealing with repeated cancellations or difficulty accessing care, it may be worth contacting your insurance company and reporting it as an access-to-care or network adequacy issue. Insurance companies need to know when listed in-network providers are not actually providing timely or reliable access to care. I do not believe contacting management will resolve my concern because this appears to be an ongoing pattern based on multiple reviews and complaints. I will be looking for another provider.

I was assisted by a woman name Ginger.. who was extremely helpful making sure my frames were the best fit and look for me...she was delightful to work with and did all she could do offer great her expertise Thank you so much Ginger. you did a great job. and I love my new glasses.

    We had eye appointments for my husband my daughter and myself. We were able to easily schedule…read moreeither online or over the phone. They made it very convenient to complete our required documents beforehand via their website so all we had to do was bring them in. The first set of tests for glaucoma, etc. were State-of-the-art and they have it set up very efficiently. First my husband went down the row of machines than I did then my daughter. I was so thankful that for an additional $55, they didn't have to dilate my eyes and instead used a machine that took a picture of the back of the eye. It was pretty cool! Also, they use a device but there's no puff of air which I was really grateful for! There was a power outage midway through our appointments and they handled it with care. As far as the portion that the doctor does, it's pretty standard procedure. Dr. Edwards listen to any concerns that we had and reviewed the results of the other test with us. My thought process has been that when they get you in the room to read the letters, it's not an efficient way to test someone's eyesight. I'd rather have them step outside with me while I've got lenses on so that I can truly look at distance versus close-up in adequate lighting. My husband got contacts and he thinks the prescription is perhaps too strong. Because they did not push products on us, we actually ordered glasses for me. They even sent us home with our popular distance so that I can order extra pairs online if I so choose. we will actually ask for the prescriptions when we go to pick up my glasses. Oops! Overall, we recommend Edwards eye care. Be aware that as of May 2025, there is construction out front to widen the road so pad your timing a little bit extra.
