They never did. I called again today and was told the same thing...not going to wait. I will head there for the fourth time in one week just to get answers that should have been handled with a simple phone call. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service is extremely disappointing. I like the way that she walks through the pictures of your eyes and explains what's going on. She's also patient when helping determine strength for the lens. I have been coming here for about 3-4years and their level of service seems to be declining and fast! From the front desk snippy lady when she answers the phone, to the doctor rushing through their exam, to sending a request for the wrong glasses prescription, to not notifying you your glasses are in, to not telling you what is needed for your pick up, to having to compassion and even to having a do or talk to you like you are stupid as he walks through the order. Dr. Thomas was very knowledgeable and took an extended period of time to answer all my questions and explain pros and cons of my different options. She also listened and refined my prescription in order to improve my eyesight, after many years of just having the same prescription, and assuming that was the best that could be done. read more

Got charged $1 as soon as I walked in the door for not having a mask, even though the mask madidate has ended. I've worn contacts in the past and they knew that, but I still got charged for a contact fitting. Also, charge a $15 service fee on top of my $15 copay. I walked out of there with a $92.50 bill, and I didn't even order contacts or glasses. I have never paid this much for getting a prescription renewed. read more

Although I never was actually a patient, I have wonderful experience with this practice. I was visiting my mom in Marietta when I woke up with blurring in my right eye. I called my doctor in Dallas to get his thoughts. He suggested that I needed to see an eye doctor asap. I called around to at several (8-10) different eye care offices until I called Hazel Family Eyecare. The person that answered (Rausahn) took the time to listen to my plight and went out of his way to help me, in spite of the fact that Hazel was completely booked for two days. They are unwilling to assist in an emergency situation. My son (who is prone to headaches) broke his glasses the day before school starts. They had absolutely no solution to assist him, were unwilling to try to fit him in for an appointment, and were unwilling to help in any way. The front desk staff is terrible when it comes to customer service. They were completely unsympathetic, and this is not the first time I have encountered their lack of empathy and customer service. read more

Not only did the receptionist get the pricing wrong on my glasses when I first inquired about updating my frames, but she completely left off my request for transition lenses when I returned to drop the lenses off. Then when I picked up my glasses, not only did she not tell me there were no transitions added, but a different person told me my prescription would make the frames thick with the transitions and had no way of showing me how thick. read more

I did not have a good experience. To start things off I was charged for an appointment that I had to reschedule because I had the flu which did not feel appropriate. When I went to my rescheduled appointment I had an exam and chose two pairs of glasses. They checked with my insurance company as to what was covered and I paid the balance which shockingly was still very pricey! I few months later I was sent a bill for more money. Really happy we were able to find a great eye doctor in Marietta. After reading a lot of positive reviews online, my wife and I decided to give it a try and we were really glad we did. There was very little wait time, and Dr. Fowler was very patient and thorough in her examination, answering all the questions I had. She also checked my glasses to make sure it was the right power and everything. And after finding out that my previous doctor prescribed a slightly incorrect power, she didn't push me to purchase new lenses, instead informing me that I would be ok with my current one and allowing me to make the decision. We recently moved to Marietta and were having a hard time finding an eye doctor that we liked. After asking a local mom's group, I was recommended to Hazel Family Eyecare and decided to book an appt due to the good reviews online. From the check in, to the eye appt, to the ordering of glasses lenses it was a very smooth visit. The office has such wonderful sunlight shinning in. The wait was not long, and Dr. Fowler was very extensive with the eye exam. My contact lenses brand got discontinued and she worked with me to make sure I was comfortable with the new contacts before I placed an order for a year's worth. Where to start. Dr. Fowler is great. She is extremely personable, seems to be very knowledgeable in her field, and goes well above and beyond what I am used to for an eye exam. Their staff is incredibly helpful and polite. Their location is really convenient (located right next door to a starbucks if you have someone driving you). And, at least in my case, their prices were the same if not better than what you will see at a big box store like Lens Crafters or Pearls... which is amazing given that they offer much better service and attention to their customers. They even had my glasses delivered to my home for no extra charge via a concierge service since I can't drive without them. I was absolutely blown away. I swear they make you feel like a rock star without charging you like one. Now their selection is a bit more limited than a "big box" store, but, even though I require more specialty sized frames due to my head size, in my experience this was not an issue; as they don't have a lot of filler models that are just there so they can advertise a lower starting price. (Every option I looked at seemed really well made and stylish and was reasonably priced.) The only other issue is that you can't do same day service unless you have an appointment before 12 because they don't cut the lenses on site. However, with their concierge service that is not really a big deal; as they send a trained tech to help check and adjust the fitment of your glasses in your home or office. And all of this from a locally owned an operated business. You really can't go wrong with Hazel Family Eyecare. If you are used to more traditional outlet locations and all that goes with that... you are seriously in for a treat :). read more

The reviews were accurate and I was more than pleased with the service and support they provided for her eye examine and care afterwards. They were extremely patient with her learning the process of new contact lenses. She left the office with a huge smile! I was contacted later that afternoon by their office, via email, indicating they had made in error in the charges and over billed me. They offered to refund me the next day, or use it as a credit for future visits. Best experience getting new contacts and glasses. I just got Ambetter vision insurance and wasn't happy to find out nobody nearby took them. After a few phone calls I found out Hazel Family Eye care was the only place nearby without a waiting list. Knowing Ambetter I was skeptical about this place, but they were amazing! Got my new contacts prescription and decided to also get a pair of glasses. I told them I was on a budget and they took the time to go over my insurance policy with me and get the price as low as possible by putting the insurance towards contacts and getting me an inexpensive pair of glasses. I had previously been going to lens crafters thinking it was less expensive. They were actually about the same and I got a much better exam and recommendations from Dr Fowler. I recently visited Hazel Family Eyecare for my regular eye exam. It was a great experience! The atmosphere was very cozy and relaxing. It is not like most eyecare facilities that I have visited in the past because it is warm and welcoming, rather than cold and sterile. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. During my visit the staff was willing to assist me with my insurance and picking out a nice frame. There were several frames to choose from. Not only that, but Dr. Fowler is also very professional and I could tell she truly cares and is concerned for her patients and their eye health. I have been looking for a new eyecare practice because I was tired of having to visit the large corporate/retail type of practices, where no one remembers me.
