I have been a patient here for years and I can't say enough about the care that they offer. I like…read morethat I have one facility that can take care of all my needs and coordinate my care between doctors. I would highly recommend this practice!

The billing team here is awful- lost my job due to the company closing down. Called in for a…read morepayment plan when I started working. The woman I spoke with was very rude telling me i never had a payment plan previously or made a payment. Asked for a manager to share the bad experience as well as ask some questions about the bill break down. Instead the same woman called me back and left me a VM stating there is nothing anyone will do for me left collections number (which she already provided) Called back again a month later spoke with someone who made my appt told me to set up a payment plan on the web. Sent a message to the doctor about a question for my up coming MRI that needed to be done. Was hoping to have it done before my $250 visit with her so i can have more information for our visit and had a question about her thoughts on contrast. And instead they cancelled my appt . Without my knowledge ( that i requested time off work for) Told me they don't have any other medical advice for me . Didn't even call me with a payment option or advising what needed to be paid prior to cancelling. Called back in asked for the manager again who then had her employee call me back to tell she is too busy and she doesn't believe the other rep would've ever been rude to me because she knows her personally (even though the calls are recorded) not willing to pull the call or resolve . This would be the second person essentially accusing me- Visits are booked out longer& at this point because of the horrible customer service i don't even want an appt here and will take care of the balance with collections instead of through them. All of this while dealing with several serious health issues! Major communication issue here! Horrible customer service- will miss Dr Burkman, sometimes people fall on hard times and paying out of pocket can be hard temporarily!

I called to make a new patient appointment and was told they were taking new patients but would not…read morebook me until I set up an online account and complete intake forms. While I'm not a huge fan of that process I was still willing to do it because I was looking for a provider that offered a more holistic approach. Once I filled everything out I received a phone call to book my appointment at which time I was told they don't do primary care, which I indicated on my intake forms that I was looking for. This is very frustrating and had they told me that when I first called I wouldn't have wasted my time or theirs by doing a bunch of paperwork. I can't say that I wouldn't recommend them but think that if someone calls their office they should at least ask what kind of care people are looking for before referring them to a lengthy intake process.

I saw Dr. Keroack today, full of hope after a 34 year ordeal with mold toxicity that many doctors…read morehad missed. I explained that my present doctor was unable to treat the mold due to some extensive food, supplement and medication allergies. Dr. Keroavk's only offering was 3 medications after I was crystal clear about these intense allergies. He actually challenged my allergies. He also mentioned to his trainee, that my tongue looked good, due my diet. Other than the mold and related allergies, I am in excellent health. I have a holistic health practice and am a certified vegan nutrition health coach. He later told me that I have too much fat (I'm 5'4" and typically weigh 130. I am a size 6. I workout 5 days a week for 3 hours with weights, ride the bike, do yoga, etc.). His machine told him that I had too much fat. He claimed that it was due to my vegan diet that lacked protein AFTER I told him that my meals included beans, hemp seeds and nuts (PS Most foods have protein, even kale.). Why don't doctors know this? Where do vegans get their protein? The same place elephants and other strong animals do, FROM PLANTS! When the secretary asked me when I would make my next appointment, I whispered "Never." If I wanted to be misunderstood, had pills and handouts about pills thrown at me with no other alternatives, I would have gone to a traditional doctor. I did not expect this from a functional doctor who says this in his biography: " As a functional medicine physician, I know that optimal health and balanced living is a realistic goal for every human being at every stage of life. Because of this, I am dedicated to assisting my patients in reaching their full potential in order to pursue life to the fullest. I help guide patients through foundational and personalized approaches to health that focus on dietary guidelines, activity regimens, stress management and sleep management that are specifically designed for each patient. Each personalized health and wellness plan takes into account the five foundational imbalances: Nutrition, Metabolism, Inflammation, Detoxification and Oxidation." The handouts were mass produced meaning that this is not personalized care at all! New England Center for Functional Medicine had this to say: "Our integrative and holistic treatment model focuses on the Mind, Body, and Spirit of the individual." I GOT NONE OF THE ABOVE! I got 3 pills and I'm fat AFTER I TOLD HIM THAT I CANNOT TAKE PILLS! I cried in my car after I left. I was let down and felt disrespected and unheard. I do not recommend Dr. Keroack. He got one star ONLY because he recommended Nirvana Sps & Wellness. They helped me, treated me with respect and created a warm environment for healing.
