This is the BEST place I've EVER had my nails done. I probably won't ever go anywhere else for as long as I live in Baltimore. The prices are fair and the women working there are so friendly. In some of these reviews people complain about one of them bringing in their young daughter, but she's the cutest little girl and we all helped her with her math homework lol. Overall though she wasn't at all bothersome or in the way. I'm not someone who gets acrylics often, so I never quite know what shape and length I want. The woman working with me was so patient and helped me pick a shape and even a color. It was raining this particular day and I had gotten my toes done too, and before I left they moisturized my feet, put plastic bags over them, and then put my shoes on for me. Who does that?? I was so shocked at now NICE everyone was! My nails have grown out a bunch now, but I haven't yet experienced that annoying thing where the nails lift up and your hair gets stuck under them. I've had that problem at every other nail salon I've ever been to, even ones that were pricer than here. Pay them a visit! You won't be disappointed. I'm overall happy with the the way they do my nails. The reason why I gave this place only 1 star is because the customer service is less than desirable. The male nail technicians are super friendly and quiet; the female nail technicians, however, are super loud and unprofessional. I was once getting my nails done and the younger girl was telling the older woman, who I think is the owner, how she burned her boyfriend's clothes, kicked him in the groin and kicked him out of the house. They both found this information to be amusing and was laughing hysterically. There is also a teenage girl there, someone's daughter(?), who walks around and talks in this annoying baby voice to the customers and nobody sees a need to correct her that maybe it's not the best thing to do and not all customers are open to engage in conversations. I got a spa pedicure for $39 which I was told lasted 1 hour and included a nice massage, but my pedicurist acted like she was in a race against the clock and finished in 40 minutes. Then, I went to get a normal manicure for $16 and again the manicurist acted like she was in a rush. The manicure lasted only 8 minutes! I timed it on my phone! She also did a bad job since one of my cuticles started to bleed. My nails look awful. I left the salon before another woman, who got the same package as me and had already started her appointment before I got there, left! She was very sweet and when I let her know that I have joint issues in one of my fingers, she was careful not to apply too much pressure on the area that is painful. I'll definitely be back! After checking reviews to find a place I decided to try this place and was so happy I did. I had a pedicure and a dip manicure and was pleased with the outcome. The staff was friendly and it was one of the better pedicures I've had in awhile. I enjoyed that they used hot stones on my legs which definitely helped to make the leg massage even better. I heard one customer get asked if she would like a drink which I was not asked but had an overall great experience. Tracy is very popular but my main guy is Jaing (pronounced Yang) and he gives the best pedicure massage - sometimes he'll massage my shoulders as well while my toes dry. I've met people here that drive from the city, just to get their nails done here. Also, they have a loyalty card if you pay cash and when you get 10 stamps (which is 5 visits for me) you get $14 off. On of the staff had their little girl here and she tried to play LOUDLY (like screening) with every person getting a pedicure. And NO ONE told her to be quiet, ever. I had just finished working three night shifts in a row and decided to reward my hard work with a manicure, as I was way overdue. As soon as I walked in, I was cheerfully greeted by several employees. I expressed my interest in the "dipping powder" versus traditional gel manicures, and they were able to answer all of my questions and were eager to help me decide on a color. During my service, they continued to treat every customer with the same professionalism and politeness. The salon was very recently (finished a week ago) remodeled and it looks incredible.. From the moment I walked in everyone was so kind and friendly, the store was so clean and right away I was offered a beverage and a glass of wine. Ok, so as mentioned by someone else, one of the employees' little girl is there in the summer and she is kinda loud and can be annoying. I don't care. They give a good pedicure. The spa pedicure with paraffin wax is something like $45. If you have never tried paraffin, it is wonderful, and it's usually not this cheap. The chairs are comfy, the employees are really friendly, but not overly talkative, and it's clean. There is also generally never a wait. Myriam Nails seems to do a great job IF you are an existing customer or have an appt. However, if you are a new customer/Walk-In, I would recommend going to another salon. I walked in on a Wednesday afternoon and was told to pick a color and the wait wouldn't be too long. After an hour wait with no updates, they continued taking other customers. Finally when I asked what was going on they shrugged their shoulders, said they had appts and didn't know when they would get to me. Every other salon I have ever visited has always told customers about wait times and let them decide if they time worked for them. I like this place. I went here years ago and it wasn't that nice. However, I recently went back and it's been completely renovated (and new owners since I'd been maybe 8-10 years ago). The owners are very nice. I really enjoyed my pedicure and was happy that I got a real massage with it (versus at similar places where a massage consists of running gloved hands up and down your leg without any pressure). Their color selection was OK for my taste, however they seem to carry mostly pinks and reds with little variety. The only thing I disliked what that I was charged $3 for "cut-down" when I went to get a fill. I really hate when nail places nickel and dime everything when clearly if you're getting your nails filled, you will want them "cut down" the amount that they grew out. I read a few yelp reviews before trying this salon out. A few people mentioned that a staff member brings her daughter to the salon. I thought to myself...she can't be THAT bad. I was wrong. The place is very nice and clean. I didn't have an appointment and was able to get a manicure right away. However, if you are going to the salon and expect some quiet time to yourself I suggest going during school hours and MAYBE this little girl won't be there. Believe me, I like kids but there is a time and place for it. Not in a salon where people go for a tranquil and relaxing experience. I've had acrylic, gel, regular mani & pedi, they are all so great! They have so many colors and do everything they can to get your dream nails. If I could give them 5+ stars I would. I've been going here for the past 8 months more with my friend for our dip powder and everybody who works there does a fantastic job, there is truly no inbetween. Our dip lasts 3 1/2-4 weeks! They are sanitary, and make you as comfortable as can be. But, they do get busy! That's just what happens when you have loyal customers who come back for the amazing work they do so prepare with an appointment or call ahead, it's not they're fault it's busy. It's business, and a great one they are. I recommend them to all my friends! I always have an amazing experience at Myriams! My husband and I started going Christmas Eve. They service you with a smile! It doesn't matter who does your mani/pedi it will look amazing and last. You don't keep running back because the polish has come off. They have great staff - and their clientele are very nice! Their spa is clean, relaxing. After a long and busy day at work for them to touch your feet - it's just what the doctor ordered. They don't rush - they provide AMAZING SERVICE. I just love Myriams located on YORK ROAD!!!! THE best nail place to go to in cockeysville/lutherville/towson area. The nail technicians are so kind and always do a great job! Every time I go somewhere else to get my nails done ( I get dip powder about every 3 weeks) they lift, crack, or chip within the first couple of days, however, at this nail salon when I make an appointment they always give so much attention to detail. For example, they always push back my cuticles and make sure my entire nail bed is covered in product which makes the nails last days longer and keeps my natural nails so strong! I personally suffer from brittle nails and they always give me the best tips and take extra care to make sure my nails are healthy and able to grow strong underneath my dip. My personal favorite nail technician is Vu, he is so good at what he does and when he does your nails you can see he takes his time to make sure there are no imperfections and does not rush to get them done!
