I've always had a good experience at Pro Nails. Appointment or not, they take you in a very timely manner. Ken has done my nails a few times and he does a great job. He is very thorough with shaping and makes sure the dip powder is flat on each nail. The manager is also very welcoming, efficient, and organized. I've had to come in once when my pedicure chipped and another time when my dip polish cracked and he made sure it was fixed both times with no problems or hesitations. I also take notice that Pro Nails makes a great effort to keep their salon clean. Each station is always wiped down after a client is finished with their service. I would definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for efficient and friendly service! read more

DO NOT GO THERE!!!I had my nails done on Friday and by Sunday they were peeling. I called the manager to ask if they coud be redone and he was nasty. I got a big NO for repolish or refund. He said I should have known what would happen and if I were a regular customer I would have Known. This is my second time here. Ken did my nails. I can confirm that the quality of consumer service and nails are consistentently excellent. The decor is up to date and it's really clean. I love the hand painted mural that goes around the wall on both sides. The parking is tight and makes me nervous and there is alot of traffic on the weekends. I have ever had to wait to get in a chair no matter the day or time. I noticed a lot of people coming for the pedicures ....it's in a separate room and looks serene. Great experience so far. I have been a dedicated patron of Pro Nail salon for 21 yrs. They relocated from Northwest Baltimore county to Northeast Baltimore and I followed Max and Ivy as a loyal customer. Over the years they have declined in customer service. Their technicians have a cold dismissive demeanor and they treat you as if you are doing them a favor by patronizing them. I SCHEDULED a Mani, Pedi and Eyebrow wax for 5pm 1/13/25. The technician, Daisy, took longer than expected on my manicure so they told me I was not able to get a pedicure or waxed. Daisy literally told me she had another customer and she could not finish servicing me. She got an attitude, neglected to thank me, rolled her eyes and spoke to Max negatively about me saying I changed my color/design. They basically blamed me for the time lapse as if I wasn't a paying customer. Max said he didn't schedule her for long enough and that I needed to leave since she had another customer. I received no apology, discount or alternative. I was treated as if I wasn't paying for my services. My money wasn't and my loyalty meant NOTHING! It was disappointing and a PISS POOR EXPERIENCE especially when their are SO MANY other salons to choose from and ultimately more cost effective. I WILL NEVER RETURN!! NOR DO I RECOMMEND THIS SALON. Gosh! I don't know what's happened lately with Pro Nails. I use to love going there to get my nails done. Not sure if the products they are using are old or what. But I got my nails done (gel manicure) on January 13th and the very next day my nails were a complete disaster. The polish peeled on every single one of my nails! The polish seemed to clump up on my nails. I didn't even bother to go back the next day to have them redone and them blame me or say I did something to my nails to mess them up. My go to nail salon is located in Rockville but since I was in the Baltimore area, I decided to give this nail salon a try which was a mistake! Daisy did my nails and she was very rude. Let me just start by saying.... Ivy (the owner's wife) is the absolute worst when it comes to customer service!!! Great MANAGEMENT & CUSTOMER SERVICE will keep a business thriving and customers happy. I have been to this nail shop several times - I like the atmosphere and that they are generally quick. I've even referred people here. I had a terrible experience once but gave them the benefit of the doubt and came back. The next 2 or 3 times after that instance, everything went well (Max, the owner was also there those times). Unfortunately, I can't say the same for this most recent visit - absolutely horrible experience, a waste of my money! Manju did a fantastic job with my pedicure as always! (I don't want to take that away from her) But that damn Ivy who attempted to do a design and failed miserably only to blame it on the polish, she was not only rude and had an attitude but could care less about me not being satisfied. Yet they have on the website that they strive for customer relations and to let them know if you're not completely satisfied and they'll fix it! I visited this salon for the first time and have to say it was a very pleasant experience. The staff was friendly and professional. I walked in and was helped very quickly. They have a great selection of polishes and gel polishes. My sugar scrub pedicure was very relaxing and my toes look great! I also got a manicure, which I rarely get because gel polish isn't friendly to my nail beds, acrylics are off limits and regular polish lasts about 72h. That being said I was in the mood for a pop of color so I went ahead and got a mani. This were I wish I could take off a star and a half. After I sat with my hands by the fans for over 20 min (was in no rush) and carefully drove off, by the early evening some of my polish had bubbled and had some cracks... That being said, there was a very brief misunderstanding about a rebate I thought I had (wrong salon though) and management was very accomodating in giving me some type of incentive to return to their salon, which was above and beyond given that the mistake was entirely mine. Save your money and go elsewhere! I have had two terrible pedicures in a row. One was from Tracey - she just couldn't get the polish on so that it looked smooth and even. I don't know if it was the OPI polish that I picked, or if it was her technique, but I am convinced I could have done a better job polishing my own toes. The second bad pedicure was from Danny - he was nice, but must have taken a chunk out of my cuticle because it made my toe bleed for at least the next half hour. The manager at Pro Nails was very rude to me. The massage chair broke while I was using it and the metal ripped thru the chair and into my back. I told the manager the chair hurt my back all he said was wow and walked away. I nicely and quietly said to him at the very least you should have said you were sorry and he preceded to yell and make a scene and made me cry. My first visit at Pro Nails in Timonium I was very impressed with the Salon, their Covid setup and Service. Bryan did my manicure and color, I appreciated it he told me that he couldn't do the nail design, so another tech did my designs and she did an outstanding job. My second visit Bryan tried to do the designs and failed miserably. Although he did not charge me for designs, my nails looked a mess. I went back the next day for a color change and requested to pay for a different Tech. I wanted to move because I really liked the Salon. The Solon Mgr (I believe she is the Mgr. looked at my nails and told me Bryan do my nails. I told her I wanted another Tech but she insisted. Needless to say, that was a very uncomfortable experience. I don't ever want anyone touching me again who is resentful. Immediately after the polish he got up from his station and mumbled "checkout at the desk". No apology, no oil on my cuticles, no lotion, just attitude. I paid $53 for a bad nail job. I had to take more time out of my day to have my nails done over because I couldn't take looking at them another day and HE had a bad attitude!!! I was in town for the weekend and my girlfriend spoke highly of the nail salon and convinced me to get my nails done with her. It was horrible mistake. I asked for chrome nails and it took a team of six to finish my nails over three hours. Mind you, I had press on nails before getting there and the owner talked on me on how poorly I was taking care of my nails and pushed me to get nails done correctly. I agreed to get chrome painted on my real nails. First the nail tech was aggressive with my nails and filed my nail so low that she was began cutting my skin. It didn't help that she didn't know how to get the proper chrome I wanted neither because it took two FaceTimes with another nail tech and three tries of painting and removing the polish before getting it right. I have never in my life experienced such a terrible experience. They offered no apology for taking up so much of time but instead we exchanged stare downs as I left. Pro nails is right down the street from my house so it's convenient to get a manicure and my eyebrows waxed. I will say the place is very clean and they've done all they can to follow COVID restrictions which I appreciate. However, I've had a total of 11 gel manicures over the last 6 months, and there's always some type of flaw - e.g. bubbles in the polish, uneven color, peeling. In addition, the last 2 times I've had my eyebrows waxed, I've come out with issues. The first issue being red, itchy, sensitive bumps after waxing. I chalked this incident up to just having sensitive skin that day. However, this last time I had my eyebrows waxed, the wax was extremely too hot and burned my eyelid (see picture). It's extremely painful and sensitive and I've had to see a doctor to prescribe an ointment to prevent further infection. Do I love this place? No. Did they do a good enough job to keep going back? Yeah, but after this eyelid burning incident, I cannot continue giving business to them. read more
