I took my On Clouds in to patch a hole at the big toe. The shoe looks ok after the repair. However, I asked if a preventative patch could be put in the shoe with no damage. I wish the man had said no, but he tried and completely messed up that shoe. The patch he sewed into the shoe wasn't even close to where the toe would hit the shoe, and it left a big, horrible circle that stood out like a sore thumb. I took the shoe back to have that mess removed. Now he has glued a patch to the inside and made small holes in the shoe when he took the first patch out. I paid $52 for this mess and now have shoes that are only good for mowing the lawn. I am not happy. read more

I stopped by to check and see if the boot repair guy could stretch my Taccova Cowboy Boots and he recommended to split the boots down the side and install a zipper. I told him "I do not think so". This place is a step back in time. The cobbler who runs this place is and old school artist and technician that it is truly hard to find these days. They take pride in their work and go above and beyond the scope of what is required. They are a bit pricey, but you will not find a more dedicated or skilled craftsmen in this industry anywhere else nearby. I just had a pair of my wife's favorite boots repaired and probably will get another 5 to 10 years out of them by putting a new sole and heel on them. They look like new. I dropped off a pair of beloved boots to have the soles replaced and new heels installed, on Monday 08/14/23. The associate advised I could pick them up on Friday the 18th of August. Because I was busy, I could not stop by until Saturday, the 19th. I arrived at 10:00, signs says business hours are 1000-2:30 on Saturday. No one was there. I waited until 10:15, but no one arrived at the store. It was hot and I had my wife and mother- in - law with me. I could not wait any longer (nuff said). (This is the reason I am giving 4 and not 5 stars.) But I picked them up today, 08/22/23, and was quite impressed. They installed very nice Vibram rubber soles and heels. Which are what I wanted because I wear these when riding my MC. Plus the tech polished them for me, without me asking. These boots are approximately 20 years old, and have been through all types weather and conditions. They look awesome again. I wanted them repaired because H-D does not make or sell these anymore. Went in to get a pair of really cute boots repaired. The boots themselves were expensive a handful years back when purchased. And now that they are completely worn in, and have become an absolutely favorite pair of shoe, the only option was to repair them and not toss them out. From wearing them down so much, the bottom of the soles were basically nonexistent. I could practically see right through the boot. It was a real issue. Stepping in a puddle was as if I were wearing flip flops. For just $30, and a weeks time, they were as good as new! This little shop does great work!! They also sell a decent amount of 'refurbished' mens shoes, i guess you'd say? My boyfriend assumed they were donated (crappy) pairs of shoes, that were made nice (and brand-y new) again! read more

Regrettably, my wife went to Myrtle Beach Shoe Service/Repair on 9th avenue in Myrtle Beach on Monday, just before they closed, to have a pair of shoes resoled and she paid in full ($75) before leaving the store. Monday night she found a brand-new pair of shoes for $25 less than she had paid. Therefore, Tuesday morning, when the store opened, she called the store to attempt to cancel her order and the owner immediately agreed to refund the entire purchase. However, about 2.5 hours later, he called again to say that the soles had already been started and implied that no refund would be given. Tuesday afternoon we visited the store in hopes that it had been a simple miscommunication and that the owner was a reputable, honest, man of his word. He openly admitted that he had agreed to refund the money at the beginning of the day, but due to HIS lack of diligence he would not refund the money. Also, we suspect that the shoes were resoled AFTER the original phone call because he likely thought, "I could use an extra $75 and I don't want to refund their purchase. So, if I start the process, they will have to still pay me." At least that would be compatible with his deficient character. I did not expect that ALL of the money would be refunded, but I believe that if he had ANY INTEGRITY in his business dealings he would, at very least, simply charge us the cost of the material and refund us the cost of labor. I understand that times are tough. Even if it was "store policy" not to refund any purchases after they had been made, I would have accepted that. However, it was clearly agreed upon earlier in the day that a refund would be issued and then was later shirked on because it did not serve HIS best interest. I feel that his INTEGRITY is truly on a similar level as when Bill Clinton famously stated, "It depends on what the definition of 'is' is." I wish we simply could go back to a day where business was conducted with your word and a handshake. Ultimately, I am deeply saddened that a company like Myrtle Beach Shoe Service/Repair, who are unapologetically deceitful in their business dealings, are still in business today. read more

I have a beautiful computer accessory bag that I bought many years ago. You have the normal wear and tear especially on the edges, but one of the zippers broke. I found Myrtle Beach shoe repair owned by Vasily. I requested the repair be done by Thursday and it was finished the day before. he went above and beyond what I asked in that after refinishing my computer carry on bag, he put leather on the edges so they wouldn't wear. All in all I was very happy, and the workmanship was excellent. The price is reasonable also. read more

This is a cool little shoe repair shop. My girlfriend stopped in to get some boots repaired and they did a great job on them. While she was doing that, I noticed they also sell a TON of men's shoes that I am assuming they got donated or something and then repair and sell. A lot of them are great quality and the repair jobs are good. Most I think were below $40.00 so its a pretty good deal for men's dress shoes. Check them out if you're in need of a pair. read more

took 4 pair of shoes in and came back they had 3. asked for new laces in 2 of the 3 pair and he didn't add them to my order. I stated to him I had four pair of shoes. " Sir you walked over here with me match up can of paint and took my shoes." he made a phone call and whoever he had doing the shoes said they had them. I dropped my shoes off on Friday and my pickup day was Tuesday. I came in Wednesday and my order was not complete. I'm going back today Saturday to pick up my shoes that he couldn't find. I think the guy is a nice guy but he's not very organized. I will count this as a mistake and continue to do business with him. read more
