Unfortunately for my wallet, though, almost everything is beautiful! They sell the beautiful POM hats that everyone loves, from pre-teens to older women. Their winter accessories right now are amazing: downjackets, ski coats, scarfs, iphone/smartphone compatible gloves, beaded suede mittens, fur hats!! I think it's highly unfair that the average star rating for this store is dragged down by anti-fur people; they don't shop at the store and they can have their opinion, but don't rate this store a one star just for that. There are stores I shop at that sell Crocs but I don't downgrade stars for that. There are a mix of different price points, and there's always a lot of sales items and new items in stock. It's a very preppy and pretty selection; they have trendy stuff but that's not really what most of the clientele (myself included) look for. A lot of Susanna Monaco, Amanda Uprichard, Yumi Kim, palm beach sandals, vineyard vines...midscale prices. Great cocktail dresses, jeans, cute shoes, and OMG the ACCESSORIES!!!! Personally, I prefer to go to this store more than Ecco. It's a more intimate and inviting store and the girls who work here are way nicer. Ecco has a certain look that they try to convey, and it's just not my style.

Prior to the sale they were reliable company with good product and great customer service. I believe a company named lionel capital. purchase the company but prior to the final sale. I spoke to a customer service representative in Rochester, New York who informed for me she was the only original Customer Service rep from Vermont teddy fair trying to keep up with the complaints. Apparently the transition was not seamless at all. I myself ordered several pairs of be mine valentine pajamas that did not arrive until Thanksgiving/Christmas. They did offer a huge discount due to the delay. I love the quality of the pajamas on unfortunately, the new company is under very poor management and near nonexistent Customer Service. Don't know if anybody else realized the change of ownership, but that seems to be the problem. Hopefully they'll get their act together because it was a great product.

I picked up a soft sweater and scarf and took advantage of the beautiful complimentary gift wrap service. I also found a beautiful earring rack for myself. The owner was friendly chatty without being overbearing. She wore a mask and there was a hand sanitizing station by the entrance. As I browsed, she told me about the donations they make to local organizations - for example, the sales of jewelry from a recently deceased artist support the Howard Center for Mental Health. (She may be the owner, she certainly acts like it). I walk out now if she's in there. The reason that I will no longer buy my clothes there is that a couple of weeks ago, I bought jeans there for $110. They were a little tight, but the sales lady told me that they looked great and promised me that they would relax with wearing. She told me that this was the size I wanted, no larger, and I bought them, as I thought these folks know their clothes and are very professional. I wore them for about seven very uncomfortable hours, with no sign of stretching! I brought them back, explaining my predicament and unsatisfaction. I had all the tags, sales slips, even the bag, and I was told that they would not take returns on clothes that had been worn. It is their policy, but this policy is unfair if there is a promise of satisfaction on a garment that must be worn to fit properly. So there's a fine catch-22. I feel very unhappy, used, taken advantage of, sad, and I will sadly no longer shop at Clays.

Everything was neatly sorted on hangers by style, size, and color. The staff is constantly moving around, returning clothes to the racks and making sure the place stays orderly. Found lots of good quality hand me downs, some even with the tags and most were decent brands. One really cool thing about this location is they offer a rewards card. For $10 you get a year membership and save 10% every time you shop. There's also an added discount on Wednesdays and the week of your birthday.
