We used to love this place but haven't been in about a year. It has significantly changed. It is very run down. The toys were very dirty, the bathrooms were gross, and a lot of the stuff was missing pieces or not working. It was so much to do my kids had a ball! They ran and explored everything ! They had everything from a toddler area with small slide and bounce house , blocks and trains. I love bringing my kids here! My oldest asks to go to Myseum all the time because it's always been his favorite place! I mean we have been to almost everything and nothing gets my oldest excited as Myseum! They have a giant spaceship in the middle of their facility that is a maze and it's pretty cool- not too hard for the kiddos. My kids FAVORITE activity in Myseum is the swamp made out of pool noodles! OMG! They ask to go through there a million times a visit. It is quite entertaining even for us adults! They have numerous scientific activities that stimulate the mind!!! I also love that you can grab lunch and bring it in with you and sit at the tables and eat... you can stay as long as you want, as well! The only thing I don't like about Myseum is that parents have to pay. Boo! But, I guess the prices could always be worse so, I won't complain too much. There is also a play area for the very littles... a bounce house and train sets for them to play with...really appreciate that area! Tucked away in an shopping center sharing parking lot with the Melting Pot is this child treasure! When you think you've hit the back of the play areas but no there was another. We went on a day when there were no field trips. My kiddos had the place to themselves for a bit. Adults can have fun too! My favorite was the swamp area. I hadn't been here in a few years as my son has grown and is more about video games these days. However this week my sister has her twin 3 year old grandsons in town and so we met up to introduce them to the fun activities that abound at the Myseum! They loved it! this place does such a great job of making STEM accessible and fun. I appreciate that so many of these interactive exhibits are what some might term, "low budget." I'm sure there are people who think that's a let down or "cheap" but in truth, it's inspirational. There are so many learning tools you can recreate at home to keep the fun and the learning going. Also terrific is the fact that admission is very reasonably priced and comes with in-and-out privileges for the day. This makes a for a great opportunity to take a break at the nearby restaurants for lunch and come back for more fun. You can even bring lunch in to the facility and eat in a designated area. All this makes the Myseum even more family friendly! Love it! read more

I came here on a Saturday morning for a 2 year old birthday party- we had a lot of fun. It's such a great spot for kids! I came in and was sent to one of the party rooms. There was a lot of seating, and they let the hosts bring their own food in (always a plus). We mingled in the party room for a bit and then one of the staff members lead a science experiment. They kids got to make glow in the dark slime which was really cool. Birthday parties with little ones can be hectic, but she managed it wonderfully and was very helpful. They were able to take the slime home which was really fun for them. We had some cake and juice (juice was provided by Myseum) and then wandered out to the front for the kiddos to play. This place is huge!!! I didn't realize it when I was walking in. It reminded me a bit of the magic house, just smaller in size. Tons of enriching things for kids to do- a great spot for a party or a rainy day! read more

Great place to take the kids to get some energy out, especially during the winter when it's too cold to play for long outside. Our kids are 3 and almost 5 and they had a blast! Pros: - Less overwhelming than the Magic House, since it's smaller (but still has a good amount of exhibits) - Very hands on and interactive Cons: - Expensive compared to the many free kid activities around town (I wish they had a member's option where you pay one annual fee like at the Magic House) - Exhibits don't change like at the Magic House Yes, I prefer taking the kids to the Magic House because we're already members and there's more to do, but Myseum has some stuff that the Magic House doesn't, like the pool noodle swamp, giant legos, fossil digging area, and a much bigger vet clinic play area. Great indoor spot for young kids especially if you're looking for a kiddo activity during colder/less ideal weather! I went for the first time last week with my two year old and she had a blast! Highly disappointed. First off, the Myseum was dirty. A bunch of the stations where either broken or had something busted within them. My kid has entertained for less than an hour and asked to leave. Wouldn't recommend, won't be coming back. read more

First visit and arrived two hours after opening on a Sunday, so it wasn't crowded, and birthday crowds had not arrived yet. The place has definitely seen a better day. They need to close the place and give everything, especially foam building blocks and pads a good, deep clean. Carpet should be replaced where it is frayed and damaged. Also, don't get me started on the dirty, worn-out stuffed animals. Children were playing with them when they should have been thrown away. Replace the "x-rays" of the animals since they are filthy. No one was playing in the dino-dig area that is filled with mulch, but mulch was in a few different rooms, so it appears that rooms were not cleaned and vacuumed after Saturday. Although children had a good time, I was less than pleased with cleanliness and broken displays. read more

I really wanted to like Myseum and was excited to take my kids since I'm new to St. Louis, but unfortunately the place was very dirty and very rundown. Over half of the exhibits are broken and items need to be replaced. I didn't see one staff member on the floor managing. It is not worth the money and we won't be coming back. read more

Sadly, what used to be a fun, educational place to take your kids is now a filthy, mismanaged disappointment. I was shocked by the number of exhibits that were either broken, out of order, or missing essential pieces. I hadn't been there in a couple years and it's like nobody bothered to fix or replace anything that kids have abused and broken over the years. The floors, walls and restrooms were filthy. 11/13/21 We had a child's birthday party. The manager instructed that the gifts be placed in a wagon with our child's name on it. While we were in the room getting it set up, the family of a party before ours took my daughter's gifts. No one at the Museum was watching our gifts. The manager discovered that the family was still in the parking lot but didn't go out to get our things back. Instead he tried to tell me that it "wasn't a big deal." His only concern seemed to be that I was over-reacting and not for being the least bit sorry that it happened. Thankfully we (myself and family) were able to retrieve them. I told him at the end of my daughter's party that I expected a hefty discount for their negligence and what they put us through. His apology was insincere and said they wouldn't give more than a ten 10% discount and acted like that was generous. I said I wasn't going to pay until I spoke with the owner and after making a phone call, he gave me the owner's number. She just called and left a message saying that it wasn't even the Myseum's fault and they wanted their money! (I never said I wouldn't pay at all). This has yet to be resolved as I am waiting for a callback but you can bet I am never going back. All I deserved was a heartfelt apology with ACTION on their part. No sincerity whatsoever. UPDATED 11/15/21 - The owner replied to my email yesterday afternoon agreeing on a discount and requested the balance be paid by end-of-day. I didn't see the emails until the evening (they went into my junk mail) and there was a follow-up email within 4 hours of the first one demanding payment or they would call the police (keep in mind that this has not been going on for weeks or months...my daughter's party was the day before.) I called today and paid the balance. BUYER BEWARE! These people do not care about you! They only care about money. read more

I love the Myseum for many reasons, but it gives the parent an opportunity to really connect with your kids and really engage in a more intimate setting, without chaos of more crowded family attractions. We have visited many times as our kids have grown up. It's a fantastic option from the Magic House and Science Center, being centrally located to many restaurants! You can come and go all day with 1 admittance fee, as well as bring your own snacks with a cental cafe with wifi. The staff are courteous as you enter. They let you know about the facility as you arrive, need for socks when being inside, and restroom locations. Thank you this wonderful place for families to come and connect!!! read more

I was kind of torn between three and fours stars, but my toddler always has fun here, so four stars it is! Pros: It's bigger than it looks - lots of rooms, most with a different theme. They have a number of things for kids of all ages. Bonus points for having a toddler room, though there are caveats (see cons). Parking is ample right outside. They have a room full of toys and snacks who those who feel like being a consumer. Cons: pretty expensive - $18 for me and my toddler the other day. The only employees I've ever seen are at the front desk. They should station one in the toddler area, because parents are constantly letting their 4-6 year olds in there (they have to walk right past the big sign saying toddlers only to get in, but parents seem not to see that). The only other thing I'd say is that we LOVED it the first time we went about a year and a half ago, but they haven't changed any exhibits like the Magic House does. As a result, each trip is a little less fun than the one before, and each exhibit is a little more run down. And if the owners read this - please fix the broken drum trash can. The one on the left. It's been broken FOREVER. All in all, definitely worth a trip for your kids if you've never been here. They should improve on a few things to increase their repeat business. read more

Might be fine for locals but I don't recommend it for out-of-towners, or to anyone with kids who want to DO things as opposed to READ ABOUT things. This place is really great and a nice alternative to the Magic House. The space is big and wide so it doesn't get clogged at the activities. Also very clean and well maintained. The only problem I had was with the search & find poster they had hanging up for the kids. The themes that were in it were certainly not appropriate for my 3 1/2 yrld. or even older kids. read more

Im not sure if she was just having personal issues or what was going on but we told her repeatedly I was just going to sit there with the baby and not go in but she charged me anyway. This review is based on the erroneous policy for admission. Management needs to review their policy for whom they charge admission to. I've never encountered an establishment that charges you for sitting and doing nothing. We came here for the kids to get a chance to play around with some things as this was recommended by a friend. There were a few in our party that did not want to tour the establishment and opted to sit in the lobby and wait for the kids to do their thing. Although these adults were not taking part in the activities with the children and were just sitting in the lobby, the cashier insisted that no matter what the admission fee would be charged for the adults. Who weren't participating. And just sitting. So they had to go outside, where it was 21 degrees out that day. Completely blew my mind. If we didn't have kids with us that wanted to go in, we would've hightailed it out of there. Employees were not helpful, they just sat in their cubicle talking amongst each other. The place was clean and looked to be kept up well. Hand sanitizer dispensers on the wall were empty but they had the gallon bottles at the front desk. The activities for the kids were decent, kept them occupied for a majority of the time. Different kinds of activities, science, physics, medicine, etc. Very simplified versions of the things we've learned in school. If you do want to come here, make sure everyone in your party is going to participate. There isn't much to do for adults except watch your children play and help them here and there. 10.95 for children 2 and over, 5.95 for adults, and discounted admission for those under 2 and over 65 I believe. read more

I've had this on my list for a while and finally got a chance to go. Pros: It's very clean and it wasn't very crowded at all. We got there soon after opening and I didn't feel crowded and my kids were able to see everything and try things out. Cons: Price! Why on earth do adults have to pay?! This place is more Monkey Joe's than Magic House and I never have to pay for myself at Monkey Joe's. It was $30 for the three of us to go for 45 minutes which is way too pricey and the price is the main reason I won't be back. Not to mention that kids over 2 have to pay the "full kid price" - but most 2 year olds can't do everything there. There's a smaller "Toddler Only" area with some toys and a small bouncer. Make kids under 3 a little cheaper since they can't do as much. I also really disliked the location of the toddler area. I have two kids and went with them. I had to stand at the front to watch the 2 year old and couldn't see my older son playing. It was just too far away from the other stuff. It's a cute place but sadly even if I lived closer I probably wouldn't go very often because it's a little silly for adults to pay when all an adult can do is stand and watch their kids. I was going to send my parents to take the kids when they babysit but it would be close to $40 for all of them and that's too much. read more

Don't go unless your kids have a high tolerance for sudden, deafening noises! On the plus side, Myseum has some fun exhibits -- lots of imaginative play areas and a good bounce house. It's a little small for the price compared to the Magic House, but good for variety. We've had good experiences there in the past. On the downside, they have a new exhibit that blasts out buzzer-like electronic music every hour on the hour. There are warning signs that anyone near the exhibit should keep their ears covered with their hands, but those aren't much help unless your kids see the signs, read the signs, and remember to continually keep their hands over their ears in that entire section of the museum. The noise reduced my 7yo and her 6yo friend to tears when they happened to be near it when it went off, and after a second instance, they begged me to leave. I'd recommend not going with any kids younger than 8 or 9 until that exhibit is gone. read more

Very fun for both my 1 and 4 year old boys. Very engaging interactive displays and activities. After a few years of being open, they are keeping everything in good working order. There's plenty of variety, from the bounce house to the noodle maze, with all kinds of fun stuff between to keep even the shortest attention spans busy and engaged for a couple of hours. It's cleaner than most kids places; it's all indoors; and there's lots of benches and chairs for the adults. People should be forewarned that there is little to no social distancing inside myseum. They do limit the number of people in the facility, but kids without masks tend to congregate in certain popular areas, and due to their age they are often not wearing masks. read more
