This whitening session was comfortable for the most part and Ledena was friendly but sadly I did not get the same results I always have before. Usually I go to the very lightest shade or one prior (and I have had this done several times before). This time I only went a few shades lighter, so there was some result but not as much as usual, and I had the full hour. Something I noticed was I did not have the liquid painted on my teeth between 'sessions' (and an hour is several sessions) so it was only one application which isn't usually what I have. The girl showed me the before and after result at the end (a different girl) but I don't know how she knew the 'before' because Ledena didn't look at my teeth or use the color measuring thing before applying the gel! I also had a big white patch on my gum where the gel burnt me. Another first. You get Netflix and a remote control which is nice but then they position the light between your face and the screen so you can't see a thing! I think I will try somewhere else next time. I went in for an hour whitening session. Heather assisted me and was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She thoroughly explained the package I'd purchased, the processing fee, guided me through each step, and ultimately calmed my "curious anxiety." Once we began, she set the expectations and came in every 11-15 minutes to ensure I was comfortable and applied the vitamin E oil as needed. After my first 30 minutes, I was allowed to remove everything, sit up, rinse and relax my eyes for a moment. She also let me see my progress. I was shocked at my results at only the half point mark. Then, we set to complete the final half. I was able to complete about 55 minutes before my teeth became too sensitive to complete the final 5. Heather had no issues stopping me when I requested and walked me through my at home care. We scheduled my follow up/touch up appointment two weeks out and she explained that I shouldn't eat anything that could stain my teeth for 48 hours. She also explained that my teeth would progressively get whiter over the next 48 hours. Let me say this, my appointment was at 11:15 AM and it is now 7:55 AM the next morning and they are shining bright like a diamond already! That's less than 24 hours! I'm extremely pleased with my results and will be referring My Smile to my friends and family. If you couldn't tell already, the customer service exceeded my expectations and they now have a lifelong customer. read more

I will update this review after a few days, but wanted to share after the initial experience. I did not use a voucher and signed up for 40 mins of whitening at the price on the website (+ tax + peculiar 'processing fee'). All in, the cost for 40 mins of whitening was $182. The facility is nice / clean / quiet. It seems to have no TV's or radio so be sure to bring your favorite device to keep you busy (music on your phone, etc). The technician I had was super nice and professional and I found the procedure to be not all that unpleasant, as much as an experience with a cheek stretcher could be. I had a little sensitivity during the procedure but nothing alarming. However, it seems that my teeth are actually FAR more sensitive (and actually painful) over the 6 or 7 hours since then. I have used dentist-provided bleaching trays in the past, and when I left a strong gel in too long, the teeth could become even more sensitive over the course of a day or so. Also, I didn't receive information about what to do after the procedure until, well, after the procedure. My technician indicated that if you make an appointment online you might receive that in advance via a reply e-mail? I made my appointment over the phone. I suspect that posting that information on their website might deter people. The most notable: NO EATING FOODS WITH COLOR for 2 days after the treatment. The reason for this is that the enamel is in some way more porous and susceptible to stains until it returns to its normal state after about 48 hours. They also recommend no flossing for 3 days plus gentle brushing, + some other things. I did my treatment on a Friday afternoon with dinner plans for the weekend - bad move! I have been looking at my teeth since I got home trying to figure out if they are whiter; I believe they are but it's fairly minor. Supposedly some additional whitening could occur over the next couple of days. They offered a $59 (+ tax and fee) 30 min 'touchup' session if done within 2 weeks. Depending on whether the sensitivity improves or worsens + and how my teeth look in a couple of days, I might consider going back for that. So far, I think the better investment is to get bleaching trays / gel from the dentist. (Unfortunately I had lost my trays and decided to try this after a year or two of not having them). I have seen much better results with that approach over time, you don't have to suspend the consumption of your favorite foods, and it's easier to control the sensitivity. It might be a little more up front cost, but over time the cost will be lower as you only need to buy the gel and not the trays. read more

I would highly recommend getting your teeth whitened here. I was skeptical of getting my teeth professionally whitened since my teeth get super sensitive from whitening strips, but I didn't have any sensitivity at all. I will never whiten my teeth myself again! This only takes 30 mins, and my teeth are way whiter than after using white strips for a few weeks. The staff at MySmile are also very helpful with any questions that you have. I asked about a ton of questions and they answered all of them. read more

I bought a Groupon for a "30 min in-office teeth whitening session for two" from MySmile that expired on 03/26. On the Groupon, under "Fine Print", it says, "The amount paid for this voucher ($79.00) with MySmile Inc. NEVER EXPIRES. The promotional value expires March 26, 2015." Today, I called to use the credit that I have and Savannah, (couldn't really hear her well) the general manager at the Galleria location, was really rude to me. First, I told her my situation and that I would still like to use the Groupon (as a credit) and she said she "couldn't even hear me", so I spoke up. Then she finally heard "Groupon" and rushed to tell me that I can only book certain days and times, which I was fine with. Then I asked her that since the Groupon initially was for two, do I have to bring someone else or can I use the entire credit for myself? To which she interrupted me and said "You can come in at the same time." So, I said "Hang on, I'm trying to explain that its expired and I want to use the credit." Which she said, "We don't accept expired Groupons" and I explained that I spoke to another representative at the company, she said they did. Savannah probably just couldn't have someone telling her she was wrong, so she said "I'm the General Manager here and there is no one that's gonna help you!" and hung up. I used to be a dental assistant at an Oral Surgery practice and I can't imagine ever talking to anyone, patient or not, like that. I understand that people have bad days, but people that could potentially bring in more customers with amazing reviews should not have to experience your bad day with you. I called Groupon and got a refund because I told the customer service there that I can't have someone that rude care for my teeth. Thank goodness customer service is good everywhere else in the world. I would give this place zero stars, but the first representative I talked to saved them. read more

I am giving my honest review. Honesty is the best policy. I did not accept any offers (which is what the company promotes) in order to write this review. People should be able to leave honest and open reviews without being bribed to post a review that's not so honest in order to receive discounted services. When I first arrived, I was 30 minutes early. Which is no problem for me. Since, I work in the healthcare industry, being early for appointments matter. Since I was early, I was able to soak in the office's environment. The lady, Ledena, seemed a little pushy. She firmly stated that the appointment will be sharply at its time. I was like, that is fine. I felt guilty because she was working with clients and there was no receptionist. I told her that I would just have a seat in the waiting area. So while she's processing my payment, she tells me that it would be a 20 dollar tax with the Groupon and that she told me that over the phone. I'm like, what the heck. This wasn't a cheap Groupon and now you want to charge me additional but okay. I then said, I wasn't told that but okay. So then while she's processing payment, one of the other clients in her exam chair needed assistance, I told her to please go help the client because she seemed as if she was in need. This lady starts stating "She's really getting on my nerves." I couldn't believe my ears. I probably should've walked away but I wanted to see what all the hype was about. So I finally get to the exam room and at this point, Ledena was demonstrating caring behaviors. We talked and she did take good care of me. After the procedure, I was expecting a major difference but I really couldn't see a big change. Ledena did warn me that I could benefit from an hour long treatment versus a 30 min treatment. But, I was expecting to see at least a shade or two difference but no difference was noted. Before checking out, Ledena asked if I wanted to leave a review on yelp and for her to see it before leaving but I declined since I wanted the review to be honest and not biased. Her reply was "Was I tgat bad?" No, Ledena, you weren't but I believe that the Yelp community doesn't benefit from biased reviews. Anyways, I will not be back. Came in on a Saturday and was able to make an appointment for a few hours later. Friendly staff, not pushy at all when discussing the options available. The procedure itself was good, no pain, reclined, Netflix on TV. Time went fast. Very satisfied with my results, will definitely come back for my touch up. I rarely write reviews because I am either too lazy or don't want to harm anyone's business. However, I do feel compelled to warn people about this place which offers the "Million Dollar Smile" whitening procedure. Like many others, I bought a 45 minute deal on Groupon and immediately booked my appointment. The technician/ front desk lady was nice enough, but my problem was with the actual method of the treatment. They put a fairly large gel tray in your mouth and then place a VERY HOT UV light directly in front of/above your mouth. It was probably 1.5x the size of an iphone, so you can imagine that it covered a significant amount of facial surface area, meaning not just your teeth but the entire area around your mouth. I know my skull ain't that tiny. The tech had put Vitamin E oil on my lips and gums to prevent irritation, but last I checked doesn't oil attract even more UV light? I dunno. So she explains that they first treat you for 25 mins, let you rinse your mouth, and then do the other 20 mins. She puts the tray in my mouth, covers my gums and lips in oil, and turns on the light, telling me she'll check on me in a bit. Anyway within 5 minutes my whole mouth area started BURNING like a sun burn type of burn. I'm no tanning bed virgin nor do I easily burn btw so I can handle a good amount of UV, but this was downright painful. I thought maybe I'd get used to it but no. After about 15 mins the tech came to check on me... I typed on the phone (since I couldn't talk w the tray in my mouth) that the light was too close and was burning my face. It's honestly my fault for not leaving right then and there. Anyway she moved the light back a few inches and walked away... Still painful. I couldn't wait until those 10 mins were over. Finally she comes back and turns off the light, and I told her I couldn't continue the rest of the treatment. She said I could continue the rest treatment another time, so I gave them two stars for the offer to complete the service. However, I am gonna pass on getting my face burned again. I recommend Platinum White instead if you can find a Groupon for that. I really need to do more research before getting Groupon-happy, and I urge you all to do the same.... read more

Once I mentioned Groupon she looks in disgust and says I need to come "Only at a certain time" . After I said I am here and they have opening she accepts me and then tells me it will be extra charge of $17.99 for Fees (terms says $4.99). Recently, a friend of mine was telling her story about this company, so I thought I would share mine. A few years back I saw an ad around Valentine's day, something like buy one, get one free, and decided to take advantage of that offer. So, here I am, around lunch time on my day off showing up at their location to see if there is any appointment available within the next one or two hours. I thought I would shop in the meantime in the Galleria, while a seat becomes free. The associate - who was alone in the shop - told me that she has one right now, but the (credit card) machines are not working, so I have to pay with cash. There was an ATM around their office, so I took out cash (and got charged extra for the withdrawal both from my bank and by the machine, because it was not the ATM of my own bank... which turned out later), and was ready for the treatment. Can't remember how long I had the whitening done, but did not see much change (and no, my teeth are not yellow at all, I am not a smoker, don't drink coffee or wine at all either). In addition, I had a terrible pain on one side that lasted for a few days. About 2 weeks later I had a dentist appointment (he does whitening for double-triple price than MySmile, so this is why I went to the Galleria), and he discovered a hole on one of my teeth that - per him - was probably there before the whitening (I go to dentist in every 6 months, so the hole developed in the last 6 months). He also told me that every whitening should be preceded by a dental examination, and next time don't just jump to get a whitening. I had to agree with him. And one more interesting thing... especially for the owners of MySmile: I asked the associate whether I will get a receipt for my payment, and she did not really want to give one (remember, I paid cash... when she was alone in the office... during lunch time). I said that I have a Flex account that might refund something (well, I was not sure about that though). She gave me a receipt, NOT showing the company's name, address or phone number, and the only thing she wrote on the receipt was "BOGO" and the price (almost $200). Maybe the date? Cannot remember. Watch out whom you are working with. And remember to get a dentist's opinion before you get whitening. read more

I received the 40 minute treatment through a groupon offer. I've had similar treatments with no problems. After the treatment my gums and lips were stinging but the tech cautioned me this could happen. The next morning I woke up and my lips were extremely swollen and the inside of my lips were covered in blisters and i was in excruciating pain. I couldn't brush my teeth for 2 days it stung so bad. This is now day 3. Swelling is down but lips still blistered and gums still bleed and lips burn when I brush my teeth. read more

Like everyone else, I got the Groupon voucher for a 40-minute session, which I chose because my teeth are somewhat yellowed over years of drinking coffee. After purchasing the voucher, I called the office to make an appointment, and they had no problem squeezing me in during my lunch hour. The office was very clean, and the technician was nice and professional. She prepped me for the procedure and told me what to expect for the 40 minutes. While I was under the light, she turned on a movie for me, so that was good! I did feel some pretty moderate discomfort after 30 minutes, but powered through. Not sure how anyone could do an entire hour's worth. I will say that the pain stopped pretty much immediately after the session. The tech gave me a fact sheet on what to avoid while my soft tissues recover, and sent me on my way. All in all, it was an easy office visit, and went way better than some of these reviews make it sound like. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because, quite frankly, I really don't see much of a difference in my teeth. They do show you the shades before and after, but I thought she chose a darker shade than they really were for my "before" to make it look better afterwards. That said, I know that most of the super-white smiles you see in media don't happen overnight. She did give me a voucher for a heavily discounted touch up session, so I may go to that in the next few weeks to see if I get more white. read more

It was my very first time experience of teeth whitening. I got my treatment yesterday and let me share my experience. 1. It hurts. But after my session, my gum was dark and it had some burn sign near my teeth. They said its totally normal but I had to take Advil yesterday. IT STILL HURTS NEXT DAY WHENEVER I BRUSH MY TEETH. They say some people get sensitive result like me but I would say, if you know your gum is kinda soft, then think about it before the treatment. 2. They need to explain more about it to the new clients. The lady who helped me was nice but I wish I could have more time with someone to get a better knowledge of the treatment. I had to ask many questions because she didnt explain me so much. 3. I see my teeth is getting whiter so you WILL get some results anyways and thats why i give 2 stars. But I dont think I will go back because of this pain that was not expected and not explained very well. She kept saying its normal. But I dont think I would want to whiten my teeth again with this kind of pain.. read more
