    Spicy chicken bento

It has been a long time since my last visit to this restaurant. It was a rainy afternoon and I was craving for Taiwanese cuisine so I went to here for a late lunch. The restaurant was tidy, lighting was sufficient and tables are clean. The moment I stepped in I didn't smell anything bad. Having my preference of spicy chicken in mind, I ordered the lunch combo for it with milk tea. As it wasn't a busy hour so the server got my order done in no time. The combo included egg and small side dishes. As expected for the spicy chicken it tasted good and not too spicy. Portion is big so I wished I could have refill for rice. Overall it was satisfying and the milk tea was a great finale. The experience was better than my first visit. I would like to come again and try other dishes.

There's a YT video from "adulting with angela" where she gave this place a mention. Turned out she went to the Burnaby location, but I figured since I was near this side of town that it would be cool to support a relatively new business. I also have not had a bowl of beef noodle soup in a minute, so there was a little more than a craving. I ordered the Beef Noodle Soup (Shank). One of the waitstaff and I were focused on their wall mounted flat screen television, since on that particular day the NBA Finals were playing out Game 6. We had a friendly debate on who would come up on top. I leaned toward OKC, being west coast and all. (Lo and behold...) Meanwhile in the background, Mandarin rock was playing in a respectfully mild volume. The bowl of noodles came quick, and I went straight to town on it. While there was a decent portion of beef, pickled mustard greens, and slurpy noodles, the broth itself did not have that special kick of flavor that I associated with a handful of noodle shops. That said, I would be glad to come back for another round.

Tried out the hainanese chicken against my better judgement to get this dish at a Taiwanese spot and I wish I listened to my self because this was not it. It was missing the flavor and tenderness of traditional hainanese chicken and the rice wasn't very fragrant either. However the service was quick and staff was responsive

Chicken with rice and black pepper sauce

Another new Asian restaurant in Kerrisdale. Freshly opened just yesterday! The place was packed and the waitlist was not bad. Services friendly with the young staff.. Not much reno after taking over the old Chef Hung spot. The menu offers a variety of appys, rice and noodles. The offering is not as deep and diverse as their Burnaby location. But the basics are there. We went for the hot plate rice with chicken and pork chop with rice and black pepper sauce. The sauce was tasty with enough.pepepr and there's a bit 9f sweetness? Chicken and pork chop are fine. Menu says deep fried pork chop but without the breaded coating. Finished with dessert. Dorayaki with red bean and a small scoop of ice cream. On the house and shared between two people. I'm happy to see this addition to the hood! I'll be back.

Fuzhou fish balls and wonton soup

3 of us came here for dinner. The menu is quite different and much smaller from the Myst in Burnaby. The squid tentacles were hard and chewy, but the chicken nuggets were perfect! The bento set is good portion size with 2 side dishes. We felt the Fuzhou fish ball soup had decent fish balls and wontons, but the broth and noodles were completely bland which was disappointing. The AC is strong and service was good.

First time at this location. Lunch service was great. Ordered the... - sandwich (a little on the sweet side, but i think that's how Taiwanese sandos are) - beef shank & tendon noodle (excellent flavour; could have been more meat; there may have been MSG as everyone was thirsty after the meal) - Myst Railway Bento (great, as you got a variety of meats & surprise veg side dishes that weren't shown in menu pic)

Myst is a neighborhood gem that definitely hits the spot when I'm craving Taiwanese food. Their chicken nuggets are great, and my personal favourite is the myst chicken cold noodle with sesame sauce. They have bells to ring for service at every table, which I think is a great touch. However even without ringing the bell, the servers are still very attentive and nice.

They had tables inside outside on a patio and even on the boulevard on the grass they created another space for people to eat. It looks like they need to expand! We didn't have reservations and ended up waiting about an hour, but the food made the wait worthwhile. I ordered the pho special of the day and it was excellent. It was spicy and noticeably different from other pho I've had. The broth had a very rich, deep flavour and something unique about it that I can't quite put my finger on, but I really enjoyed it. I was also impressed that they served fresh culantro, which I had never seen served with pho before. My only small criticism was the amount of bean sprouts provided. There were two of us sharing the accompaniments, but the portion looked more like what I would normally expect for one person. I'm sure they would have brought more if we had asked, though. The servers were very pleasant despite how busy the restaurant was. There was a bit of confusion with the waitlist--they told us they would call us when our table was ready, but after checking back several times, they couldn't find our name and the system showed that we had already been seated when we hadn't. That was frustrating after such a long wait, but I wouldn't let it overshadow the overall experience. The food was excellent, the flavours were memorable, and I can understand why Lunch Lady is Michelin-recommended. I will definitely be back and highly recommend giving it a try--just make a reservation if you can!

But to me all of their food, kind of taste like fish, which is not great. The garlic noodles had such a strong fishy taste. I could not eat it. The steak Luc lak I did really like, the vegetables that came with it. I was not a huge fan of, but the steak itself was cooked perfectly. The crab fried rice again of course it will have fish so you need to know what you're ordering. I went with people who liked fish. The basket cheesecake was entirely underwhelming and it was sort of a baked cheesecake like it's very much not cold and creamy so it was really a 3 out of 10 sort of experience.

The bun was incredibly fresh, light, and pillowy, while the pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender with the perfect balance of richness and tang from the kimchi. The pickled vegetables added a bright crunch that tasted incredibly fresh. We started with the salmon tartare, and it was phenomenal! Rich, buttery, bursting with flavor, and so good we were literally fighting over the last bite. And the scallop? Order one for each person. Seriously. It's far too delicious to share. It had just the right amount of heat, leaving the perfect lingering warmth that immediately made us want another. Do yourself a favor and give yourself enough time to work your way through the menu, because every dish we tried was outstanding. Each plate was thoughtfully curated, beautifully executed, and cooked to perfection. I like to call it the C³ trifecta: curated, created, and cooked. Without question, this is some of the best food we've had in a very long time. We can't wait to come back (when visiting) and continue eating our way through the rest of the menu.

Ambiance was great - super warm and welcoming which was magnified by the host. Super lovely. Then the wait staff. Whoever is hiring/training is doing a great job! We also sat right beside the pick up window so it was fun seeing food come out! The food was fantastic. See pictures for what we ordered. Not sure if I can remember the names of everything but it was a perfect combo!!
