Service was super quick even though it was a busy night with a line out the door. We tried out the miso chashu carbonara, Hamburg and Black tonkotsu ramen for the dine out menu. The food was okay and it was not by any means an authentic Japanese dining experience. It felt like the food was all prepared in advanced because of the high volume of guests which lead to some items being over cooked or portions not being consistent from table to table. We did enjoy that there was a good variety of sides and the mochi ice cream balls for dessert were a delight. Not sure I would come again if I was craving Japanese food but it's definitely worth the $20 for the variety

We came here for dinner on a Friday night. I like coming here because they have an extensive menu. We really enjoyed their shrimp toast. They have a great selection of drinks as well. Our rice bowl had too much rice and not enough beef. For The ramen, it was loaded with noodles and toppings. I'm curious to come back to try their other appetizers.

Yuu's dineout deal can't be beat! For $20 per person you will have enough food for two meals! The portions are great and come with many appetizers. My fav was the hamburger steak and I highly recommend pairing with one of their many creative non-alcoholic cocktails!

Came for the $20-25 dine out menu and it was such a good value! You got tons of sides and variety. If you got the unagi don then it's $25, otherwise the other entrees are $20-23. Only downside is it was sooo busy and crowded there and you definitely felt rushed to leave as soon as you finished your dessert LOL service was decent, nothing out of this world

Randomly came across this place looking for somewhere to eat. Food was good, pricing was somewhat high for ramen. Overall I enjoyed what we ordered- charsui ramen and the volcano beef ramen W/ spicy miso broth. Service wise was okay, they were a bit busy but it took awhile to place our order. We had to try multiple times to get the attention of the waitress Definitely recommend checking this place out if you like japanese food.

I came across this place because I was searching for the flying ramen!! It is honestly a highlight of this place, but unfortunately, I did not end up getting it :( they only have takayoki flying ramen and I don't eat seafood.. so wasn't able to try it. Their menu is sooo vast! We took more than 30mins just deciding what to get because they have so many options and everything looks amazing. I got their black pepper chicken ramen and it was amazing! Very flavourful, I also added a lot of chilli sauce to add a bit of kick. Their vegetarian options were limited, but we got their veggie ramen bowl and it was pretty good. My friend got their fried squid and she loved it! Their fried tempura came with this sweet and spicy dipping sauce which I really liked. The service was very fast for a weekend!

Stopped by mid week for an early dinner. Yuu is located in a mall close to the Aberdeen Center with plenty of free parking. Their menu is very large with something for everyone. I opted for the Hell Fire ramen with pork, egg, corn and seaweed in a spicy broth. The presentation and taste were both good. And there was no issue with the service. It was a positive food experience and happy to recommend Yuu Japanese Tapas.

I came thinking we would get tapas to share, but ended up ordering these two dishes that were very filling. Good portion and tasted good! Pretty spacious place with lots of tables.

The first time I took notice of this restaurant was when they introduced Ramen beer several years ago. I heard that this menu went viral worldwide, and I was even asked about it by friends in Japan. Finally, I had the chance to visit this restaurant. What I ordered Frying ramen The appearance was truly impactful. The noodles were deep-fried, giving them a firm texture that held up straight with chopsticks, as seen in the picture. After capturing the moment with a photo, the staff assisted us in cutting the noodles, allowing us to enjoy the entire dish. However, the sauce was a bit too oily, and the overall flavor was somewhat mild. Nonetheless, I appreciated the crispy texture of the noodles. Cream curry udon with shrimp katsu, Mashed potatoes covered the top of the Curry Udon alongside a deep-fried prawn. The deep-fried prawn was delightful, with a crispy exterior and a juicy interior. However, the Curry Udon's flavor was too subtle. In my opinion, the curry flavor should be stronger, especially to complement the generous amount of mashed potatoes on top, which exceeded my expectations. This dish needs some refinement. Deep fried oyster mushroom and deep fried oyster These deep-fried dishes were the highlights of the dinner. They were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I thoroughly enjoyed both dishes. I noticed that this restaurant doesn't offer alcohol, which is okay. Instead, they provide a variety of desserts and bubble tea. The menu concept is quite interesting and definitely Instagram-worthy in appearance. While each dish could use improvement in terms of flavors and refinement, I look forward to trying their dessert dishes during my next visit.

Love the stone pot rice with kimchi and pork!! My family enjoys the chicken karaage, tofu, and curry beef with rice! I usually order the squid ink noodles too as it's one of my favorites!! The ramen noodles soup is perfect for those rainy days! The croffles are also delicious!! The service is pretty quick but make reservations for party of 6 or more since this place gets busy! Price is very reasonable.

Went during the afternoon. Lots of parking and lots of tables as it's 3 pm already. For 2 people with small appetites, had their fruit tea, mentai macchiato udon latte, and chicken and skin rice bowl. The tea was fresh and cold. The udon latte was interesting and creamy, The chicken and skin was freshly fried and hot. I personally loved them all.

Went there with a few friends, we had a reservation for 7:00 pm but we got seated until 7:30 pm. Waiting for our food wasn't that long, everything looks so nice and tasted amazing, so it definitely worth the wait! I don't recall if there was music...but even though there were a lot of people, I could still hear my friends. Price was reasonable for the amount of food we had. (We went on Dine-Out days so probably that's why it was too crowded)

One line review: A good idea smothered by mediocre execution. During COVID, many people seem to feel no hesitation to dine in a restaurant dining room, but medically, it's wiser for me to be more careful than that as I'm considered "clinically extremely vulnerable." So we were attracted to Yuu's, both by the extensive menu and the carhop service. When we arrived, we discovered that the carhop service is an extra 15% charge. That was NOT advertised. But we went with it anyway. We ordered: - Green salad (The best thing in a six-course meal. This was fresh, varied, and delicious.) - Marinated seaweed salad with real crabmeat (The biggest disappointment on the table -- lots of corn and mayo, virtually no crab.) - Beef cubes (Very tender but mildly seasoned. Nothing special.) - Gyoza (supposedly housemade but unremarkable) - Seafood okonomiyaki aka Japanese pizza (This was almost tasteless.) - Spicy Miso ramen (A decent portion, but slightly below average execution. Sadly, despite the name, it was NOT spicy at all.) The server brought a long, narrow table which hooked to the window slots on either side of our car. Remarkably, it was designed so that my wife was able to raise her window to block the cool breeze -- nicely done. The service generally was pretty good; the servers were kind and patient with us. The experience was novel, but the food was subpar. The final indignity was that the six dishes we ordered, plus tax and tip, added up to $100. That's horrible value for what was a subpar meal. Perhaps we ordered the wrong items. But we'll never know because we won't be back to try again. Parking was free in lot. Bottom line: Too mediocre and too expensive.

This place is busy! I would suggest booking ahead. Service is very friendly but hard to flag down because they are busy. The call button at the table didn't work. The food has big portions, especially the big pots. Normal price could be around $50+, but the budaejjigae is $37 here, and the pan was wide and deep. However, the downside was the taste. It does taste like normal Korean food, and things are a bit off. The budaejjigae feels like it didn't have dashi in it. The seafood green onion pancake was 90% imitation crab. Pajeons are supposed to be mainly green onion, but this felt like a cake of imitation crab only. Maybe a couple of pieces of green onion, cuttlefish, and shrimp. The fried chicken was ok. They serve free dessert at the end - feels like some pudding with sweet syrup. If you don't mind about taste and just want a lot of food for cheap then this is for you.

Since this was our first time dining here, the servers explained some of the items on the menu. They are very kind and very honest. The food however was only okay. My favorite was the noodle dish with the chili chicken. That was probably the best dish. The chicken was tender, slightly spicy, slightly sweet and flavorful. It came with a decent amount of noodles. I tried both the salty and the sweet homemade tofu pudding. The tofu was so silky and soft and smooth. I preferred the savory one, although I skipped out on the chili oil. I feel like next time I will get it with chili oil. The XLB was only okay. Unfortunately, I did not find it very flavorful. The Yangzhou style layer cake was okay. We intended on getting the à la carte menu at first but realized that based on how many big eaters we had, it was more bang for our buck with the all you can eat menu. We chose the lowest tier of all you can eat and there were some people who preferred seafood; even if you upgraded to the highest tier the selection in our opinion, didn't get drastically better that it was "worth it". We had a party of six and was seated at a long table with a divider. When we got to our seat, the staff had placed the divider at exactly the table edges connecting the two stove but it was so squishy and uncomfortable for 6 people that we had to move the divider over a little. There's a time limit for all you can eat however with one stove and us not knowing that the vegetables came raw and in full foiled packages, it took a long time to grill anything. Our waitress came over many many times to remind us about the time limit and even then... we were well over our time limit even though we only put in two rounds of food. One stove shared between six people was awful. It's not like our stove could cook any faster even if the waitress rushed us. We were even ending the meal with s'mores and the waitress couldn't wait any longer and brought over the bill. We had to put down our s'mores stick to pay the bill so she could leave us alone to finish the meal... the restaurant was not busy, there were plenty of empty tables and there was no one waiting in the lobby. Did not appreciate the service here. Overall, food was greasy and not memorable (as I just tried a different grilled meat spot a few days prior). The portions were weird. Most of the dishes were severely under portioned so we made sure to up our portions for round two. Our time was up before we could even put in our final round three order. The staff also didn't respect some of the items. We put in ice cream on the first order as people wanted to use it as a grease palate cleanser and it was only when we followed up with the waitress did they say "oh we thought it should be served at the end of the meal instead since it's a dessert". Perhaps following the orders of what customers mark off would help with better customer service....

I was forced to pay the bill out of my own pocket! On top of the terrible voucher experience, the dining experience itself was highly disappointing and unsafe: Menu Cutbacks: All of their fried appetizers were completely crossed out from the menu, yet they are still charging the exact same price! If you are craving fried appetizers, I highly recommend asking the staff if they actually have them before you sit down. Safety Hazard: Please watch out when your hot pot boils!
